Same vehicle...anyone knows what the plastic sort of bezel I guess? (Am Dutch, not sure about the word) that covers up the empty space around the radio? I want to replace my radio too, but not without that thing, don't want a it being half opened up.
i just ordered one for an Aygo whcih is identical and i ordered it surprisingly from a store that sells TV-s, pcs and stuff like that, was weird that they actually had this in stock@@nlx78
i was looking to upgrade my car music player but your video helped a lot it was very clear and on point also big thanks for adding the links to buying the radio to
You are welcome 😊
Lovely Jubbly video matey.
Thanks 👍
Absolute life saver jus saved some money changing mine to a new pioneer radio
You’re welcome
Thanks, I will try it soon, and let you know 🙂
Grey video, gonna do to both my kids cars, thanks mate
Your welcome
Do you need a specific support for each DVD player or I can use the current one. I just want to change the radio into a better one with bluetooth connectivity. The old one hasn’t got that feature. Thanks!
DVD player?
Nice one - Ere what's the cheapest DAB + CD player for the C1? struggling to find one (apart from those crappy add on dab jobs)
There are a lot out there I have to say, all you can do a shop the market but Amazon is a good place to start, and not always the worst but try Halfords I just upgraded the stereo in my a abarth and it was priced the same as Amazon so they are not always over priced in Halfords
@@everydaysalvage Blimy - cheapest ebay has is a kit with cover etc: Pioneer DEH-X7800DAB at £179 - damned expensive compared to a FM stereo eh - hmm me thinks I'll make do ;-)
@@Duffloop DAB add on it is then lol
Used this vid and the products to replace the unit in our C1,
Only issue is when shutting off the car the new stereo unit resets the clock and colours and preset stations, have I done something wrong or is the unit naff?
The radio needs a live feed from the battery if it keeps losing stations etc. you can connect from 12v point (cigarette lighter) also.
Cheers pal good video
Your welcome
@@everydaysalvage daughters car is a 2010 c1 so I don’t need any harnesses etc is it just pull wiring out of old stereo and place in new stereo cheers
Yep it’s that easy 👍
Just arrived now from Amazon jeez it’s the cheapest shit I have ever owned but as long as it works she will live with it lol
@@MrHoudinidog yeah they are cheap looking etc but work well.
I wanted to ask did the original wiring work okay as you didn’t come back to it in the video and I want to know before I try fitting it in my self
Yes it’s just plug and play.
@@everydaysalvage thank you
Such a good video it’s a shame u didn’t show us working
It was about fitting as most will use different radios
Silly question. Did you take the metal case out and pin it into the aygo case then put the radio into it?
You need remove the metal frame altogether.
So I’ve just installed the very radio but it’s very loose like I can pull it out. Would the front plate cover stop this?
It would yes 👍
Thank you, i don't know what happened to my radio, but lately the bluetooth doesn't work properly so i'll change it
Did the aerial radio adapter come with this stereo?
No they can be brought on eBay.
Hello, could you tell me, please, where can I buy the Conversional tool for the areal?

excellent video and very useful thanks for sharing your knowledge with us🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@janierpereira2559 you’re very welcome
Hey appreciate this is an old video but do you have a link for the radio system you purchased?
Links for products are in the description 👍
Hey, is this something you need to disconnect the battery for?
No it’s plug and play, but no harm if you wanted too or not comfortable with live wires.
Hello, these are the stereos now, Bluetooth and USB cable to link to your phone.i have a cd player in mine.
You must enjoy cds still ?
@@everydaysalvage ,oh yes,still like cds
The only cds I have were the ones in my bmw , but that’s gone now.
Whats wrong with the stock radio? It has aux amd is nice right?
Helpful video for those who choose to change it.
I did all these steps. And the radio works (I have a cheap Caliber bluetooth radio), but when I switch off the car the radio doesn't remember any settings. What am I doing wrong?
You need to find a live power wire that doesn’t turn off when the key is out, or you can run a live from the battery to the radio it will hold memory either way then.
How do u bend the prongs down on the old radio to get it out
It’s a clip, you need to push it down and it will release. Flat head Screwdriver will help.
1:15 hahahaha SURE YOU DID . .... wink wink
Hey do you have a link for the other cables and extender?
tinyurl.com/everydayAerial
thanks a lot, do I need anything else like extra cables apart from the stereo, surround and adapter to fit this?
@@ez6213 no just those bits that’s it
@@everydaysalvage thanks mate appreciate it love the vid btw!!
@@ez6213 thanks for the support 👍
What was the radio you used?
Link in the description 👍
Presumably it works?
Of course! This is a how to change a cd player video 👍
I know you're nothing to do with the radio suppliers but whenever I turn the car off the radio has forgotten all of the presets etc. Any suggestions.?
You will need to run a live wire from the battery to the radio or find a permanent live wire behind the dashboard. I had the same issue with my abarth.
@@everydaysalvage oh that's a pity it was all going too easily lol. Have a video showing how to run a live wire on a Peugeot 107?
@@AndrewBrooks no because I never did that on my 107 as I only ever used the Bluetooth side of things I don’t listen to the radio etc.
@@everydaysalvage ok no worries.
@@AndrewBrooks I know this is a pretty old comment... all you need to do is swap the yellow and red wires around :)
do u need to disconnect battery first
No it’s not necessary as it’s plug and play, but should you have to cut any wires then I would recommend to do that. If in doubt disconnect.
Hi I bought the same radio and installed it in my Toyota aygo 06 and whenever I turn the car off the radio goes off aswell and whenever I listen to a voicenote or record on Snapchat the whole music stops anyone know what I should do?
You will need to run a live wire from the battery to the radio or find a permanent live wire behind the dashboard. It will keep the memory that way.
Get the correct wiring harness to solve it.
You put the fascia in first then the stereo that then holds it firm in the slot.
Yes, hope the video helps
just got this why does it keep changing color any clue and doesn't save stations
Colour is in the setting, please read comments section regarding saving stations.
Thanks useful.... I have changed my radio this way too on my Citroën C1. However, it cannot memorize the radio stations. I read the solution is to invert the yellow with the red wire.... Odd... There aren't such wires on the Citroën plug to match this... If someone has some clear instructions, that would be great. 😊
Yes you can put the 2 wires together to hold memory or use a wire direct from the battery. I also the same isssues when changing the radio in my abarth 595 to an aftermarket one, I had to feed the main power lead onto the red and yellow from the car, as this car had the same issue. Hope this helps.
@@everydaysalvage Thanks, you mean I can attach the yellow and red wires together? no risk to blow a fuse? I am totally ignorant regarding cars electricity :D
Try it! Cannot guarantee you won’t blow a fuse 😂
@@everydaysalvage 😜😂
I finally made it 🥂😁 thanks again for the tip 🎵
😀
Tried it plugged it all up and got nothing wont turn on
Please read all the comments regarding power issues
But does it work ?
Does what work ?
Hello can you talk on the phone using this ….?
Yes it has Bluetooth
@@everydaysalvage thank you
You take the screw out 1st, but I guess you didn't know there was one ? 🙄
Well I did a dry run before I made this video so yes I did, just didn’t want it to wack me in the face as I pulled it out 🤘🏻
Ditching CD for Bluetooth is a downgrade 😉
I do enjoy a cd 😉
FM radio minus))
It has a radio
@@everydaysalvage coaxiale cable is not connected
@@megamarvon you have to get the adapter ,
old is better
Replacing the CD player with something modern allows people to use it hands free and charge link their phone so they can use streaming services etc.
Thanks for a very nice video. I just swapped the old radio out with this one. www.amazon.de/-/en/Bluetooth-Hands-Free-Colours-Adjustable-Player/dp/B08PQRPDMX/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=1+din+autoradio&qid=1627312119&sprefix=1+din&sr=8-8 - I do encounter a small problem. The radio can’t remember the time and date after I turn the ignition off. Is this a limitation of the car? Or a problem with the radio?
You need to run a live wire direct from the battery so the radio has power all the time. Hope that helps.
@@everydaysalvage Thanks. I Will need to look into that 😊
