Cheers for your fast reply ,you are an absolute star .I pressed OK on projector itself and immediately LOAD screen came up and movie plays perfectly .Thank you so much A+++++ to yourself and the site
I have this projector since a couple years. I tried to use it again. I can switch it on with the remote or the projector itself but it only shows a light pic. Like just the light on the wall. All other buttons on the projector or the remote won’t work. Anyone got some advice? I can just turn it on and off nothing else works
Great insight into the product - thanks! If you connected a tablet using an HDMI/lightning cable and watched Netflix etc. through the projector, would you still be able to connect the tablet to a bluetooth speaker simultaneously?
Ive been trying to stream from my Huwawi phone using a micro USB to HDMI cable. I just can't get it to work, neither can my daughter on her huwawi. Any ideas?
What does it look like with actual film? It's a bit difficult to see if the colours are accurate when the material viewed is of a computer generated nature. Also, is there a better version of the projector for 2020? It's still available on Amazon at 55.99 but I wondered if there was an updated version. Thanks for an interesting video.
I have only used it once for a movie / film and it was decent, considering the price. I predominately use it for Halloween and Christmas Atmos FX shows.
@@SpectrumGeeks thanks for the quick reply. Is the loss of resolution very noticeable when it's downgraded to 480p from higher? The Amazon spec is a bit misleading when it says it's 1080p. An elephas q9 has native 1080p and is not too much more at about £143.
7:05 - 800×480 native resolution... but, it's good for 1080..? So, you can e.g. set your pc to output res 1920×1080 but that can only output 800×480. Assume native res means the same for projectors as it does for TVs and monitors... So there's no improvement in quality from 800×480 to '1080p'
Hi Ella, it should be straight forward just connect and play. However, different laptops sometimes have different function keys that need to be pressed to switch to a monitor connection, so me doing a video may not be too helpful. If you say what model laptop, someone might be able to clarify if anything special you need to do for it to work.
I’ve just got this projector as a gift and have put it on a floating shelf above my bed and replaced my curtains with a light black out blind! It’s not bad but I can’t get a even focus on the whole picture either the top is crisp and bottom blurry or vice versa! Any ideas on how to solve this? I’m not sure weather projector is too close but I’m unable to go back any further as against wall now! The screen is a good 8 ft away from projector
You will need to do the best you can with the limited keystone adjustment. As a budget projector you can't adjust much but you should be able to get something that works and looks good for vide, but maybe a little blurry in spots for text.
Hi ya I just bought this projector and and a lightening to HDTV cable but when I plug it into my projector not the hdmi bit the other connector the projector turns itself off would the cable be faulty i wonder
Hi I bought this projector based on your review which was excellent as is the projector BUT and perhaps you can help me using usb stick iget the menu screen as you show with the inset video playing but for some reason it never opens up to full screen .Am I missing something .Your advice would be appreciated Roger
You need to press the ok or return button the projector itself I find. Doesn't always want to play ball from the remote with the USB. Let me know how you get on.

@@SpectrumGeeks Hi - Thanks for the great video! Unfourtunately I am also having terrible problems using my USB! * VIDEO LAG ISSUES* I bought one of these and using the included HDMi cable plugged into a windows laptop (its a hi-spec gaming machine), I cannot get rid of terrible video lag. I also tried the cable with a HDMi to Mini DisplayPort thunderbolt adaptor into the laptop, but same problem occurs. When laptop is playing on its own screen by itself there are no issues or lag (streaming Netflix, Amazon Prime or UA-cam), but as soon as you plug in the projector - the terrible lag happens. Any ideas? Watching movies on USB memory stick, or SD card is quite 'old skool' compared with streaming - which is the most common and easy way to watch media these days...
@@SpectrumGeeks Just as an update. I contacted Elephas customer support and they replied within 2 days. They said "There is a possibility that wired or wireless projection may fail because it is not compatible with "HDCP" video/movie from some paid software/websites such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney +, etc.. However, the projector supports connecting a Amazon fire tv stick or Roku stick to play "HDCP" video/movie from Amazon Prime, Netflix or some paid software, you could consult it on Amazon if you need". So I took their advice and got the Fire TV Stick - and that solved the issue. No lag anymore, works like a treat.
I'm thinking of buying this projector from Amazon. I'm thinking of painting the wall rather than buying an expensive screen just for the time being. Would you have any recommendations on what paint to use. White or Grey paint or even better if you knew an exact colour that would go well with this particular projector. The room is well lit during the day. Really enjoy the vids, hope to hear back! Thanks
Amazon sell some grey screen paint. A grey paint will tend to be better, check out some AV Forums for recommendations. Not something I looked at for a while as I got my screen about 7 years ago.

Hon to command the level of sound with the remote ? Thanks .
Would have been better if you chose a colourful clip
Noted for future, but the main focus here was for my use of the Atmos FX digital decorations, hence the clips.
Where can I find the with video that you tested with? Thanks!

If via HDMI it would probably use the projectors speaker for audio pass through via the HDMI.

Does the phone support video out over USB?
I would check it on a HDMI monitor to identify where the fault lies.
Mine doesn’t load any menu? Just shows a white screen
Sorry not had that issue with mine, always loads the menu.
Might be worth contacting Elehpas for support.
I have restored this projector to its factory settings and now it doesn’t recognise my fire stick. How I can make
It work?
I have not had that issue, I suggest you contact Elephas support.
The elephas , vankyo or the Goode’s, which would you recommend for a 2metre wide projector screen
Thanks
I only have the Elephas out of this, so can't really comment.

can we connect the amazon fire stick and stream content?

Yes by using the headphone jack on the side.

Will this connect to an apple mac laptop and an ipod touch? Thanks!

Yup, just connect via HDMI.

Perhaps if you have a little inverter, but it doesnt support a 12v connection out the box.
