good review mike but i have a question about this model's remote controller. there is no up and down buttons for the volume. only one combo button that has speaker and mute icons on it so how can the volume be controlled on this one if you can remember please? you can play and pause the video at 4:12 to see the remote. someone has the same remote controller design for another model and says its such a struggle to control the volume of the projector.
Thanks for this review it's the closest one to the Elephas projector I just purchased, which is the 3800 lumens version of this. @@mikesunboxing your 1000% right. Have you seen how to make a holographic projector? There's 3 ways that are fairly easy. I don't know why projectors haven't started there

Hi Mike, great video! Thinking of purchasing this and putting it on a shelf above my bed to project onto the facing wall - I am not very technical but if the projector was placed at a high level and the lens needed to be projected at a slight downward angle is this possible? Hi mike have u reviewed the elephas native 1080p phone projector 2022 model yet on eBay for £81 I believe it’s the BL108 model if you can believe the description 8500L looks good.
So I ended up picking the elephas bL108 up £67 on Amazon. Picture Looks great on the wall when I just did a quick test simple function. fan not to noisy speakers seem pretty good for a projector says it’s 1080p native as far as I can tell picture is good. Trying to connect an ACER tablet to this device to display full screen of content from tablet (similar to how you showed display of amazon from your device) How do I do this? Do I need a specific cable? Thanks :)
Some obvious downsides the biggest being the noise...but still, if you're on a budget for the price it's amazing...so value for money it seems excellent... Remember that People leaving a 5 star review aren't giving that rating because it's the best quality you can get, but because it's excellent quality in relation to the cost...
Hi, thanks for the video- I'm looking at the 4500 lumen model of this projector - do you think it would be good enough to project video above a band at a nightclub? (doesn't have to be perfect quality, but decent enough to see what's happening) Thanks!
I just reviewed the more expensive but brighter jimtab M18 which is a 4500 lumens and that works okay in brighter light as you can maybe make out it the video. So that would give you a better idea of the brightness
I can see the fan being that loud, as I have a 2K lumens LED flashlight (or "Torch"), and it gets hot, so 3.6K, I can see it. I'm surprised they don't have an off-set display, so you can have it on the table, and the bottom of the display will be inches above it. Centered display is so 20th century. One negative I saw was the fact there's white plastic IN the optics, which puts a ton of stray light onto the image.
wow you know your stuff, and you are completely right the colour of the projector can and does influence the image quality, although in this instance it isn't overly noticeable
@@mikesunboxing It doesn't seem much, but if you want absolute contrast ratios of the highest degree, white plastic inside the optics isn't a good idea. (My 3K lumens office PJ has some weird plastic in the display, refracting light to cause a ring to appear around the main 4:3 image, similar to your instance, not noticeable unless it's pitch dark, and barely when it is.)
Great review Mike. Really appreciate it. You got good value. Just ordered the 4000 one, probably a later vision. Sound seems to be better - less noise. £100 on Amazon. Saw the price and thought I'd try it out, why not. Anyway, great review so thanks.

Alright mate ! Great review ! Was just wondering which cable do you need to connect your iPhone to it , im struggling to connect it and don’t know which one to buy If you could shed any light on this would be greatly appreciated thanks mate
The only problem: AFTER 90 DAYS...many black points in the image (dust inside the LCD - only inside cleaning will solve!!!) Do not try to clean by yourself, it breaks the flat cable. So, if you do not mind to watch with many, many black points after 90 days, or to pay 30 pounds every 90 days to clean....it's a very good projector.
@@mikesunboxingthe cooler jets 'dust' from the air to LCD INSIDE. and there is no way to clean...just trying to open the projector. But it's so delicate (especially flat cable). Any way, it's sad but true. Dust in the LCD (tiny black points)
Hi, i have Acer c250i which also unfortunately is extremely loud and annoying. Fan completely ruins the movie watching experience. One question, are you sure this really is 3000 lumens? Because Acer c250i has only 300 lumens and image brightness is pretty much the same.
manufacturers always claim specs but i don't have the ability to qualify the brightness im sorry to say, all i can do is show the results on my wall and hopefully that provides a little guidance?
I have just purchased this exact model, I have plugged in a firestick and I cant get any sound to work at all? Could you please help, any advice to get sound through the projector would be much appreciated? Thanks!
Just set mine up and it worked straight away. I have tried a few options to try and get it to not work and it all works fine. Is the sound muted or anything?
Why would you expect this to be silent? Just because it is LED based you still have a LED lamp which is 65W or possibly higher (sorry too lazy to look up the specs) plus the LCD and other electronics generating heat all in a cramped enclosure (badly designed due to budget constraints) with one or two fans to move the air to keep things cool (one will usually be a centrifugal or blower fan which aren't exactly quiet). If you want the LED lamp to die prematurely or the plastic lenses to deform then yes, you could have a quieter projector. Maybe you could have fanless/passively cooled but not at this price point, maybe a design similar to mini itx computer cases which utilise heat pipes and aluminium finned heatsinks forming a large part of the outer casing? Alternatively, buy a more expensive projector or build a hush box. PS unless it is made really cheaply and the fan is not thermostatically controlled by a temperature sensor/probe?🤔😉
Good question. It seems to not get too hot and the fan will step up to keep things cool. They have a thermal cut out also so it won't be a problem in a normal room
@@mikesunboxing Thanks for your reply, is there any budget projectors you know of that can be used for general home use, in low level daylight? We have our blinds shut most of the time so we don't get massive amounts of light and generally have the light on in daytime, will the light from the projector give enough light to see comfortably?
@@WMCElland just keep an eye on either amazon lightning deals or the deals section in our discord or the shopsmart facebook group, we often post there first when sellers confirm that deals are live
Sorry I don't have any recommendations in that price range. I guess Amazon 5 star reviews are a good starting point and if they are not as good as expected you can always return items very easily.
Thank you for the Shout Out Mike :D Didn't have to do that Considering its native resolution this is actually really decent fair play. Would have been nice to have had all the ports on the 1 side, even if they put the port on the bottom of the side the other ports was on. That's the 1st I've seen that trailer and TBH i'd quite happily sit there and watch a movie on that, but the audio would need another solution like a sound bar or surround sound as it didn't sound to good to me. I might just grab one myself if it's still available and get a screen at a later date. I can't just paint a wall, every wall in my house needs to be re done 1 way or another lol Thanks for the video
Side note that I just thought off... 5 star reviews... Yeah there might be a reason for that and you pulled it out of the box at the start of the video. Just a thought
I own one of these things, albeit mine is black. Same hardware. To the best of my memory, I did give it a five star review on Amazon and still would a year later now. Best $80 I've ever spent. But that's not important. What IS important is mine didn't come with any special offers or gift promises or anything like that. What I put on Amazon was my own belief after using it. That's all. And a year into it now, it's been great. A whole wall in my bedroom is setup with a projector screen and speakers behind the screen for theater-like sound and it's just wonderful. Five starts hell yes. I'm into it for under a hundred bucks US and I've got a nearly 200-inch screen. Every time I walk in and that thing is on, it's like I'm in some future movie where they have giant wall TVs. Except it's my house and it's real. Oh sure it's not the best picture. But it was cheap as hell and it's way better than good enough.
Charles Barnett Thanks for the feedback! Please consider sharing the video and information on your social media, it really helps to get the message out there.
That’s why you can’t trust reviews on Amazon even if they didn’t like it they might give it a five star review just to get the goodies think about that box not saying this is a bad projector but that is called review manipulation
3600 lumens is a lie on the site it’s probably 360 lumens. If it was 3600 you’d be able to see it clearly in the lights. There are videos here on youtube giving examples. If you want to watch outdoors in the day even with small light- no chance. These companies get away with it on Amazon by claiming a typo if challenged. If you only want to watch in the dark though on the cheap it’s a great choice.
yeah the whole ansi or lumens thing is not really a good marker of quality or brightness, that is why i try and use the same setup with each one that we review to see the actual differences between models

Ok will do. Thanks 🙏
Does this have bluetooth to allow for bluetooth speaker connection?
no it doesn't sorry
Do speakers work well when put in the jack?
Yes the creative pebble speakers were pretty good
Thanks for the response! 😁
Do you need a white screen for it?
not really any blank wall should be okay
Alright mate ! Great review !
Was just wondering which cable do you need to connect your iPhone to it , im struggling to connect it and don’t know which one to buy
If you could shed any light on this would be greatly appreciated thanks mate
i think it is something like this amzn.to/34WnOeE
how big is the actual projection in your video? by that i mean screen size
about 60" in the video but i would do smaller or larger depending where you position it.
I want to use this on a bigger screen outside will this work decently?
Yes but not in daylight
Is the us version assembled with the same internals, and does it have the same specks
Yes I think the device is the same in all regions
The only problem: AFTER 90 DAYS...many black points in the image (dust inside the LCD - only inside cleaning will solve!!!) Do not try to clean by yourself, it breaks the flat cable. So, if you do not mind to watch with many, many black points after 90 days, or to pay 30 pounds every 90 days to clean....it's a very good projector.
how did you manage to get dust inside the LCD? It looks like it is a sealed unit?
Hello. Could anyone help me. What cable do I need to run this from my iPhone or MacBook?
Thanks guys ❤❤❤
look for a lightning to HDMI adapter
I have just purchased this exact model, I have plugged in a firestick and I cant get any sound to work at all? Could you please help, any advice to get sound through the projector would be much appreciated? Thanks!
I'll try and have a look tomorrow and see what needs to be done
Just set mine up and it worked straight away. I have tried a few options to try and get it to not work and it all works fine. Is the sound muted or anything?
Update: worked out the problem I think. Does yours make the clicking sound in the menus but no sound in movies or programs?
@@mikesunboxing I have the same problem with no sound with the firestick. Any suggestions?
@@mikesunboxing please help mine turned itself off and wont turn on
There it is. The reason why it has 5 stars. You get free stuff.
Good vid extremely excited Are the Connection to phones included
No sorry make sure you add it to the amazon order😀
Hi iam new subscriber to your channel but my question is will it work for my Xbox one x ??.
Or what’s would be your best projector for gaming thanks.
Should be pretty good for that I enjoyed gaming on it but I am old an have old man reactions 🤪
Just replace with a quieter fan if you can.
Yeah that had crossed my mind but it seems really quite difficult to open up to actually see what can be changed
Anyone know where to get a replacement Bulb?
i don't sorry
Can this run off USB power?
no sorry it can't, too high a voltage
Can it use battery for power?
No it is mains voltage only
@@mikesunboxing Thank you very much! Great video, super informative.
Hey can someone help me please. I brought this a few months ago and now thr screen is just plain white when I turn it on. What could the problem be.
not sure but i would contact the seller to get some answers or a replacement
@@mikesunboxing Thank you.
Lixツ same thing happened to mine did you get an answer ??
Very honest and unbias review despite affiliate link
Thanks 🙏
Hey there, can I plug into my iPad or phone, to stream Netflix?
yes but you will need a separate apple certified MHL cable
It won’t stream those even with cable
Thanks for the comment I totally agree with what you have said
The screen goes on and off when I plug the hdmi from the projector to my laptop
bad cable?
@@mikesunboxing I fixed it. I just needed to push it in hard haha. I didn’t want to break it
@@dijay8822 Glad you got it sorted :-)
Wanted info on how to connect the leads to my laptop (and which leads to use)...every review video I've watched skips this step.
hdmi is often the simplest way
@@mikesunboxing figured it out now, thanks! Am really pleased with the projector
@@marcchrys Glad to hear it! Have a great weekend :-)
can i connect this with my ps4?
yes you can
How much time of use can it handle before it gets too hot or damaging?
Good question. It seems to not get too hot and the fan will step up to keep things cool. They have a thermal cut out also so it won't be a problem in a normal room
"incline or downcline, whatever the word is" HAHAH
Words is hard 👌🏼
How to connect amazon fire stick in projector
very easy to do
Can I plug my 4k fire stick into this
yes you can but it will downscale the output
@@mikesunboxing Thanks for your reply, is there any budget projectors you know of that can be used for general home use, in low level daylight? We have our blinds shut most of the time so we don't get massive amounts of light and generally have the light on in daytime, will the light from the projector give enough light to see comfortably?
@@WMCElland just keep an eye on either amazon lightning deals or the deals section in our discord or the shopsmart facebook group, we often post there first when sellers confirm that deals are live
fire stick volume and power button not working with the projector?
I think I had the remote setup for my TV so it didn't work as it should.
support active 3D ?
sorry no, it doesn't appear on any of the menus or documentation.
Do you have any alternative projector you could recommend? Perhaps under 200?
Sorry I don't have any recommendations in that price range. I guess Amazon 5 star reviews are a good starting point and if they are not as good as expected you can always return items very easily.
Mike's unboxing, reviews and how to thanks for the reply!
Can you connect your phone onto this?
Yes with the special cable
@@mikesunboxing Hi! Is the special cable for mobile already included here? Thank you
Kris Villapando no the cable needs to be bought separately
@@mikesunboxing screen mirroring is not possible for this projector?
@@mikesunboxing what cable is required to connect with iPhone directly for screen mirroring ?
Any new codes floating about
nothing at the moment, as China is effectively closed VIPON has almost nothing available at the moment
Darn it. Looking for a sub £100 one for the garden. Thanks for the reply 👍
Thank you for the Shout Out Mike :D Didn't have to do that
Considering its native resolution this is actually really decent fair play.
I can't just paint a wall, every wall in my house needs to be re done 1 way or another lol
Thanks for the video
Side note that I just thought off... 5 star reviews... Yeah there might be a reason for that and you pulled it out of the box at the start of the video. Just a thought
In the 5 star "bribe" there was an offer of a free fire stick, tripod or screen!
@@mikesunboxing So you can get something more expensive (firestick) for a 5 star bribe... hahaha
What sort of screen? Hmmm lol
The daft thing is it is actually very good but not perfect so should it get 5 stars?
I wouldn't know I not been hands on with it haha. But you should give it what you feel it deserves
What dimensions does it have?!
22 x 17 x 8.9 cm
Thanks u!⚡️
np
I amazon title it shown full hd
yeah it takes a full hd signal as an input but the output on this one is 720p unless they upgraded it more recently?
Can i play netflix using this? Any suggestion how pls
it depends on the device you are using to cat it from really
@@mikesunboxing how about netflix from iphone? Chromecast working on this device?
sorry that the 5 star review is all but invalidated by the enclosed gift card which is given in exchange for an admirable review
the gift card is an offer you don't need to take it
I own one of these things, albeit mine is black.
Kitty sniffs speaker is so goooood
Flame (the cat) loves to get involved with the unboxings :-)
Thanks for that.
Charles Barnett Thanks for the feedback! Please consider sharing the video and information on your social media, it really helps to get the message out there.
How far away was the projector from the wall? Great review btw :)
about 7 foot i think, and thanks for the comment
Mike's unboxing, reviews and how to Would the image still be clear from around 10 foot away?
Yes that would be fine
Mike's unboxing, reviews and how to cool thanks I just bought mine!!
Can it connect to Xbox ?
Yes it can
That’s why you can’t trust reviews on Amazon even if they didn’t like it they might give it a five star review just to get the goodies think about that box not saying this is a bad projector but that is called review manipulation
yeah 5 star reviews on amazon always trigger me
You are brilliant Mike...
Thanks 🙏
The picture not clear
no it needs a better wall to display on really
Mike's unboxing, reviews and how to
I changed my channel name just to let you know BTW nice video
like the name! very catchy
@@mikesunboxing thanks
3600 lumens is a lie on the site it’s probably 360 lumens. If it was 3600 you’d be able to see it clearly in the lights. There are videos here on youtube giving examples. If you want to watch outdoors in the day even with small light- no chance.
These companies get away with it on Amazon by claiming a typo if challenged.
If you only want to watch in the dark though on the cheap it’s a great choice.
yeah the whole ansi or lumens thing is not really a good marker of quality or brightness, that is why i try and use the same setup with each one that we review to see the actual differences between models
Ah i see what you mean yeah good idea keep up the good work.
I really hate the noice that it is making😭 does someone know a mini projector that makes less noice? I know they cant be silent but this one is very loud
this is a constant problem with mini projectors, still looking for the perfect projector
