It depends on the quality of the patch, I had some before which came off very quick. But this one did not came off so far. And to make it more secure you can make a few invisible hand stitches around it.
It depends on the tape quality, if you also use tumble drying or not, if you normally wash it won’t come off for a very long time. I have some which never came off and some which did, but I used drying machine afterwards and I guess that affected.
Used fabric glue because it won't wash off and melt off in the dryer.

Does this work with other fabric? Looking for ideas to patch some baby and toddler clothes. The knees wear out so fast.
Yes it does work with other fabrics as once you iron on the heat will melt the tape and therefore will stick the fabric together
