As something approaches the speed of light, time does indeed move slower for it in relation to the rest of the universe. Theoretically, if it WERE possible for something with mass to reach the speed of light, time (from its perspective) may even freeze entirely. For example, if you were to put an atomic clock (basically just an extremely accurate clock) on a spaceship and send it 100 light years away, the clock would (theoretically) read the exact same time on arrival that it did the moment it hit light speed. What's crazier is that exceeding the speed of light may even reverse the flow of time. That being said, everything we know of physics tells us that nothing with mass can ever reach the speed of light. Source: Astrophysics major Also, the faster-than-light travel they use in Star Wars is actually just entering a sort of alternate dimension where distances between objects/planets are much shorter, so all this time dilation fuckery doesn't apply in this case.
7:20 "What happened to don't shoot the messenger?" If you don't shoot the messenger, the Empire will torture the messenger for any information he has on the Rebellion, learning about the defector pilot and how much he knew about the Death Star. Then they would have shot him.
For the first time we saw Vader fully unleashed in live action. Because of limitations back in the original trilogy they were never able to convey how powerful he really is. Not anymore. You have no idea how much people cheered when he pulled up in the final scene in theaters.
Yes, planetary rings do cast shadows. Moreover, these shadows would create seasonal, months long twilight/eclipse areas on the planet, with completely different climate, flora and fauna. And in the other parts of the planet, that would be completely backwards, as rings would reflect sunlight during the night, making the sky almost bright as day for months. Planetary rings generally make climate, seasons and daylight cycles quite complex, and it would probably be a total nightmare to live under such conditions. I love space
Seeing Leia at the end in the cinema really hit the feels just a few days after the actress (Carrie Fisher) died. RIP and may the force be with you, always.
Yes. Those guys in Jeda that gave Jen a hard time and told her to just watch herself... Same guys who bothered Luke in A New Hope and Kenobi cut his arm off.
The actor who did K2SO was also hilarious on Firefly. If you somehow haven’t watched that, it’s a popular show for reactors, has a dedicated following, and it’s not too long: 14 episodes and a movie. Pretty sure you’d like it by the end of episode 2 if not right away.
The blind badass, Chirrut, is played by Donnie Yen, who is an incredible martial artist and talented actor. If you wanna see more of him in action and in a leading role, check out the Ip Man movies. They're about the life of the man who trained Bruce Lee.

“If you travel at the speed of light, does time slow down?” Literally on the level of thinking of Albert Einstein. His work in his “Theory of Special Relativity” spawned the theory of “Time Dilation”. The theory is that time moves relative to the observer, so an object (in this case the object is the observer) in motion experiences time dilation, which means that an object moving really fast experiences time more slowly than when it is at rest (not in motion)

The stormtroopers are humans and the clone troopers are clones if you watch the bad batch you will see that they don’t want to use the clones anymore and bring humans instead.
Also, fun fact, Vader was actually the one who orchestrated the downfall of the Death Star. In the Vader comics, Sidious and Tarkin tried to keep Project Stardust a secret from Vader, but he went detective mode and followed the trail back to Galen Erso, and while investigating Galen, he found out about how the Empire was secretly harvesting a shit load of Kyber. And, being an engineering genius, Vader deduced that the only reason they would need that much was for some sort of massive laser. Now, it's important to note that, at the time, Galen thought the Kyber was just a power source for a massive space station, he didnt know it was a super weapon in the beginning. So, Vader confronted Tarkin about it and and Tarkin started bragging about how after the Death Star was completed, the most powerful force in the universe would no longer be Vader or the Force, it would be the super weapon of the Empire. And Vader absolutely hated the idea of some blasphemous technology eclipsing the power of the Force, so he sent an unmarked droid to Galen's home, the droid found Galen's wife and told her that a benefactor wished to inform them of the true nature of Project Stardust and after telling Galen's wife what the space station was really meant to become, the droid self destructed. Galen's wife told him what the droid had said, and Galen attempted to leave the project since he was essential to it, which is what we see in the flashbacks of this movie. And then when he was hunted down and forced to return, he decided to do the next best thing, make sure the Death Star would have a fatal flaw. Not only does it add a really cool layer to this whole thing, but it also helps to retcon/explain why Vader doesnt really seem to try that hard to retrieve the plans or stop the Rebels during A New Hope. Especially given how easily he outsmarted them and whooped them in Empire Strikes Back. There are actually lots of cool things like this where Sidious and the Empire try to supplant the Force or supercede its power with technology and pretty much every single time, Vader shows up and destroys whatever new thing they were working on because he believes so strongly in the strength and purity of the Force.
The faster you travel relative to another object, the slower time passes. If you travel in a jet from London to New York wearing a watch, your watch will be about a ten-millionth of a second behind a watch left behind in London as time passed *very very slightly* slower for you when you were on the plane.
Clone Wars. Then Bad Batch. Then Obi-Wan Kenobi. Then Andor season 1. Then Star Wars Rebels. Then Andor season 2. Then The Mandalorian seasons 1-2. Then The Book of Boba Fett (which is arguably Mandalorian season 2.5). Then Mandalorian season 3. Then Ahsoka.
@@FrozenxDeath you honestly think by the time he finishes seven seasons of Clone Wars, three seasons of Bad Batch, Obi-Wan, Andor season one, and four seasons of Rebels that season 2 of Andor won’t be out?

@@FrozenxDeath Even if he does two or three episodes of CW and Rebels a week, I'm willing to bet he wouldn't finish everything earlier chronologically before needing Andor season 2. And even in the unlikelihood of him finishing all that up before then (remember, filming has wrapped... they're well into post-production at this point and I think we can confidently say we can expect it early in 2025, taking the spot usually reserved for a new Mando season), there won't be that much of a wait.

Also, the faster-than-light travel they use in Star Wars is actually just entering a sort of alternate dimension where distances between objects/planets are much shorter, so all this time dilation fuckery doesn't apply in this case.
Honestly, these movie watch along reaction vids are actually entertaining. Maybe this trend will blow up. Its kinda like cozy vibes.
Don Townsend 🐐🐐🐐
Just for extra info, the black storm troopers are called Death Troopers
this movie made the opening paragraph to "a new hope" so much more meaningful!
7:20 "What happened to don't shoot the messenger?" If you don't shoot the messenger, the Empire will torture the messenger for any information he has on the Rebellion, learning about the defector pilot and how much he knew about the Death Star. Then they would have shot him.
Also, the show andor is about cassians backgtound into the rebel alliance , (the guy who died with jyn at the end)
Yeah, those are the 2 from episode 4 at the bar. The guy that tries to start a fight with Luke then Obi Wan has to cut them down.
Rip blue leader his mustache was glorious.
For the first time we saw Vader fully unleashed in live action. Because of limitations back in the original trilogy they were never able to convey how powerful he really is. Not anymore. You have no idea how much people cheered when he pulled up in the final scene in theaters.
Finally. I have been waiting so long for rouge one I love you're content
Don stormtroopers are still not clones
Yes, planetary rings do cast shadows. Moreover, these shadows would create seasonal, months long twilight/eclipse areas on the planet, with completely different climate, flora and fauna. And in the other parts of the planet, that would be completely backwards, as rings would reflect sunlight during the night, making the sky almost bright as day for months. Planetary rings generally make climate, seasons and daylight cycles quite complex, and it would probably be a total nightmare to live under such conditions.
I love space
Not Dom casually saying Stardust at 1:28 !! PLAYED
also saw gererra is a insurgent from the TCW he fought against the CIS (Seperatist Alliance) alongside the republic now he fights against the empire
Seeing Leia at the end in the cinema really hit the feels just a few days after the actress (Carrie Fisher) died. RIP and may the force be with you, always.
Btw storm troopers aren’t clones, they are conscripts.
When do the movies state that?
Clone Wars, then Tales of the Jedi, and after The Bad Batch.
The blind badass, Chirrut, is played by Donnie Yen, who is an incredible martial artist and talented actor. If you wanna see more of him in action and in a leading role, check out the Ip Man movies. They're about the life of the man who trained Bruce Lee.
Your like the first reactor ive seen that realised Vader was going ontonthe ship.
The show Andor! Trust.
29:25 wait.... i thought comunication in hyperspace is not possible 0_o
edit: 53:30 an Imperial I-class Star Destroyers had over 37,000 crew on board- 9,235 officers and 27,850 enlisted personnel. The complement of 9,700 stormtroopers added to a total of 46,785 crew and passengers. thats just one of those 2 destroyers
Why can nobody on the Internet spell "Rogue" correctly?
I love how saw gerra appeared in many Star Wars things even a game and shows he is more aggressive leader then the actual rebel alliance good character tho
“If you travel at the speed of light, does time slow down?”
Literally on the level of thinking of Albert Einstein.
“We haven’t seen a lightsaber his whole movie”
Bro bout to find out…
Ravyn lenae sticky is a banger lol. You say sticky all the time and it starts playin in my head 🤣🤌🏽🔥
The best of the Disney movies which isn’t hard to be the best but this one rivals the main movies pre Disney era as one of the best Star Wars movies.
Stormtroopers aren’t clones, the clones got phased out shortly after the empire started and were replaced with conscripted soldiers
Right, and LOTS of them. Probably one of the reasons why the majority of Stormtroopers are so rubbish.
When do the movies state that?
That hallway scene with Darth Vader is just the best
Him being incompetent is the best?
Yes!!!! I was waititng so long for this
This is my favorite disney star wars movie. Love it.
btw stormtroopers arent clones the clones were abandoned a few yrs after ep3. stormtroopers r conscripted people and people who signed up. some stormtroopers r also people who the empire kidnapped as babies and raised as soldiers
When do the movies state that?
@@andymiller6661 bro not the movies the bad batch shows the clones all being abandoned and imprisoned and i believe in force awakens or summat finn talks about how he was taken as a kid or summat like that or maybe it was in the books
@jbomber4416 I don't care about that. I b specifically asked where it's stated in the movies, not in Star Wars.
Yeah, but that's for the First Order. In the same movie, Kylo said they should have stuck with clones, which implies that the Empire used clones as stormtroopers.
25:05 The shot where the death star eclipses the star, beautiful.
Those are the same two guys from movie 1 i noticed my second time watching
Best Disney Star Wars thing after Andor
Clone wars? Bad batch? Tales of the Jedi? Mando season 1 and 2?
@@shreksswamp1182 don't even come close to andor
@@jm6406 lol that’s laughable. Rogue one yes. Andor absolutely not.
@@shreksswamp1182 All dogshit except Mando season 1 which is fine
@@lukescrew1981 lol are you kidding? The final 4 episodes of season 7 clone wars is some of the best starwars we have ever seen.. plus all of tales of the Jedi is fantastic.. and season 3 of badbatch is arguably on pace to be the best starwars season out of any of the shows.. and how tf is season 2 of mando bad? Are you one of the clowns that think just because they had a little bit of “fan service” it makes the show bad? I like andor and it has fantastic cinematography and writing but give me a break lmao
The door didn't get stuck, Vader was keeping it shut with the force as he went an annihilated those rebels in the hallway
"DOOR STUCK! ... PLEASE!!"
Cassian killed "the messenger" because he was injured, unable to escape, and might talk if captured.
Nice catch. Those were the same guys from the bar scene in A New Hope at 16:28
That door didn't get stuck... Vader got that door stuck. It's an unforgiving but a wonderful movie.
One of the only Disney star wars productions that actually feels like star wars
The stormtroopers are humans and the clone troopers are clones if you watch the bad batch you will see that they don’t want to use the clones anymore and bring humans instead.
it actually cost an arm and two legs, if you ask Vader
A quick search online says the Death Star would cost around $850 quadrillion dollars in real money. 13,000 times the GDP of the planet Earth.
In mention to Anakin's journey to Darth Vader and villains. I think Eren Jager's life is kind of tragic and is similar in regard to a hero's fall.
Don... Stormtroopers are human soldiers not clones. The clones were replaced by more affordable human soldiers when the empire came around
I love how only city of jedha got blown up by the Death Star was like they were testing the capability of it how powerful it truly was
I did a tad of research because I was curious as well, apparently the death star would cost arround 192 Quintillion $
i saw this movie in the theater when t released. that Darth Vader scene at the end is fucking insane in theaters.
It is insane that he's incompetent
13:30 It has been calculated ! $850 quadrillion !!!
Awesome reaction of my favorite Star Wars movie!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Please watch Cassian Andor's show, it's called Andor, it takes place right before this movie! def 100% recommend it
I’m just here for the Vader scene
Andor season 2 doesn't even come out until next year though
@@FrozenxDeath you honestly think by the time he finishes seven seasons of Clone Wars, three seasons of Bad Batch, Obi-Wan, Andor season one, and four seasons of Rebels that season 2 of Andor won’t be out?
@@LeChaunceConsidering it's still March, and Andor's release date within 2025 hasn't been announced, that gives him anywhere from nine months to over a year and a half.
So.... yeah. I don't think it'd be terribly difficult at all, let alone impossible.
@@LeChaunce And it's inconceivable that he could do more than three twenty minute episodes per week?
Realisticly speaking, the Death Star would take more metal to build then we could mine from the entire planet. So, it is literaly beyond cost for us to build.
you're going to NEED to watch the starship troopers movie AND space balls, space balls is a star wars parody that's is incredibly loved
You are also missing Solo, which is super underrated. Many people don't like it but I think it's one of the better movies. It's all about Han Solos back story
Ah yes, my favorite Star Wars film: “Rouge One” (check the title)
Seriously though it is my favorite, thrilled you’ve finally gotten to it.
13:06 still can't believe this guy is CGI because the actor passed away
Storm Troopers aren't clones, there are human beings in that armor.
Don make sure to watch the shows in release order soo u don’t get confused . I think it’s like MANDO s1 s2 then boba s1 then MANDO s3? I think anyways but just search the release order
if you lik the blind guy, IPMAN trilogy is a must watch..The story of Bruce Lee master.
