To continue the conversation: it is fascinating how watching 7, 9 and skipping 8 isn’t much of a miss. You can think what you want about 8 but NOTHING HAPPENS that is significant to the plot of this movie other than two things. Luke died. Snoke died. And honestly, those as big characters as those two were supposed to be, Episode 8 made them insignificant to this movie. So, so in the perspective of going from one to the other, it doesn’t matter. JJ did a good job of forgetting 8 and making 7 connect to this movie more.
Now that I think about it: it's quite interesting to watch 9 after 7, Don just went throug a huge timeskip and when he watches 8 it will be like adittonal adventures or an special movie which will clear up some questions
9 after 7 is the best way to watch it cause you skip that dogshit ass 8, and if you wanna go back to 8 to fill in the gaps you can call it just that; filler ! The same way Disney saw this entire sequel trilogy; (wallet) filler 🤣
Personally I don’t see how it’d answer many questions as with 8 Johnson threw away many of JJs plot lines and in 9 JJ threw away many of Johnson’s plot lines.
@@poransuki8203 Youre allowed to like it, most critics dont disagree that you're allowed to like it subjectively. Its got some beautiful shots and cool action. However, its an objectively bad series as a whole.
That says more about 8 than it does about him. What did 8 really accomplish? And if you watch 7 but forget about Snoke, like he did, it's just about Luke somehow being dead really. The character progression is so non-existent in 8 that the entire movie hardly matters. But if you miss Episode 2 and 5 you will be completely lost in 3 and 6. Or Two Towers in LotR.
Yeah this is truly fascinating. Not only doesn’t he remember the Emperor and Palpatine from the 1st 6, but he missed all the Luke stuff. Still he knows Rey trained. And that’s about it. Does anything else really matter? I haven’t thought of it like that but aside from the name remembering stuff, he doesn’t seem that lost.
30:49 Carrie Fisher, the actress that played Princess Leia passed away between episodes 8 (the one you skipped) episode 9 so all her parts in this movie was left over film from from episode 7 and 8. Carrie Fisher daughter was also a standing double for her mother in scenes were you don't see Princess Leia's face.
U should watch the clone wars series it's a literal masterpiece (the first few seasons are a bit iffy iffy but you need to watch the first few to fully appreciate the later seasons)
To answer the question of can you master the dark without being evil, no. The dark side is inherently corrupting. Even if you go in with good intentions, like Dooku or Anakin, it fundamentally changes you as a person. As you get stronger with the dark side, you become more and more corrupted, which in turn makes you even stronger, and so on until eventually you're nothing but a husk of your former self. Also, very importantly, being conflicted about the evil things you're doing literally weakens you. It's why Kylo struggled against Finn and Rey at the end of episode 7. He was wrestling with the guilt of having just killed his dad, and that self doubt weakened him enough to lose to Rey.
14:56 great stuff btw You know the Jedi Mind Trick? The insidious thing about the Dark Side is that it’s a perversion of every Light Side power. Force Healing becomes Force Dying. Force Mend becomes Force Choke. Jedi Mind Trick becomes Sith Impose Will. We saw this in The Force Awakens when Rey took over the consciousness of a sentient being. That is the overtaking of another’s agency, and there were Jedi who were very much opposed to this casually-used power.
There is no one that is Sith or Jedi because of their birth. Its always a choice. Just because she was part of Palpatine's lineage doesn't make her a sith. Its always a choice, we always have a choice to go down the path we choose for ourselves.

Anakin did bring back the balance, he was the one who killed palpatine originally. Luke only helped influence him to do so. It’s also ironic that anakin spent 26 years on the light side, but then spent 26 years on the dark side.
Dude I have been patiently waiting to see what you think about the last Jedi. When seeing the thumbnail I assumed you had already watched ep 8 and didn’t like it enough to post but nope. Honestly don’t blame you, aside from Luke not being in it JJ essentially just takes the plot lines he started in 7 that 8 either ignored or subverted. Because there was so little connectivity and planning in this trilogy 9 just feels like a continuation of 7. Especially since 8 decided to end as if it were the end of the trilogy(quote from the director saying he had no interest in leading towards a sequel. In the second movie to a trilogy 🙄) it set up its own questions to answer or gave a surprising(only relative to the theorizing community) answer for what JJ set up(which JJ then retconed). Basically 8 doesn’t lead to 9 very well and 9 answers the questions for 7 since 8 left it with almost nothing by the end of the movie.
I fucking cackled when I realized you skipped the Last Jedi. Genuinely sorry you mixed it up but that was honestly funny. More of a testament to the Sequel Trilogy as a staple to the Star Wars franchise.
You put up a good deep question at 34:00 "can you be a Sith and still not harming people?" and the answer is yes, at least when Lucas was around. Being Sith does not make you Hitler just for the sake of being a dick. From light to dark there is a spectrum of shades. A Sith doesn't do harm if he intends not to do it, there's a reason behind it. In fact the majority of Sith were fallen Jedi. Some Sith I can't recall now, were famous for being Sith Lords and still never did anything harmful. I grew to respect the Sith, (the very old ones) more than the Jedi order. They are self entitled to roam around doing what they think is right, as Luke said "They let Sidious rise create the Empire and whipe them out, it was a Jedi Master (kenobi) the responsible of the training, and creation of Darth Vader". There is so much to talk about it's better I stop here.
Come on, you had one job. It’s says above the movie tittle, the year of release. In addition, there a whole category in Disney plus, called timeline order
Great for calling Rey out in the end. "You can't be using Annis name like that" 😂 Would like to see a Episode 8 reaction, although it is just because of about 3 scenes 😅
She isn’t a Sith, just of the Palpatine family so has some unique force powers. Sith vs Jedi are religions, so if she’s fighting for good and training for the good side of the force she’s sort of Jedi. The Jedi order is gone but it’s been nearly eradicated before, but the whole Jedi ghost advice I guess helps keep that from being permanent 😂
I watched the wrong movie I know I had one job and flopped it but let me know if I should watch the one I missed 😇

Anni brought back the balance when he threw the emperor off the Death Star.😢

Order 66 will never compare to the way Disney slaughtered Star Wars

That is 100% wrong. George Lucas himself made the dark side about pure evil. You cannot use the dark side and be "good".
Not one bit of that is accurate.
under lucas? Lucas probably hated that stuff based of his interpretation of the force and the sith
Movie Suggestions:
Disney The Love Bug 1969
Hoodwinked 2005
The Monkey King 2023
Open Season 2006
Gnomeo and Juliet 2011
Please.
You watching the wrong movie is so funny
Star wars rogue one my favorite
Come on, you had one job. It’s says above the movie tittle, the year of release. In addition, there a whole category in Disney plus, called timeline order
Great for calling Rey out in the end. "You can't be using Annis name like that" 😂
Would like to see a Episode 8 reaction, although it is just because of about 3 scenes 😅
How does one skip an entire movie, edit it, release the video, and still not realize it😂
Lmao and starkiller and darth raven even mace windu use the dark side
She isn’t a Sith, just of the Palpatine family so has some unique force powers. Sith vs Jedi are religions, so if she’s fighting for good and training for the good side of the force she’s sort of Jedi. The Jedi order is gone but it’s been nearly eradicated before, but the whole Jedi ghost advice I guess helps keep that from being permanent 😂
U should react to regular show it’s really funny and entertaining
