Devin is one of the most meticulous engine builders I've seen, yet he also has to rebuild more engine due to failure than anyone I've seen. Very strange.
#DevinNimela the rocker arm Gauge you used on the rockers you should of had bent the tip a bit so you can get a real size cause the way you used it it might have left your rockers a milimeter more open
What are those metal wires you were installing on the top of the cylinders at the start? Whats the use for it , so interesting have never seen it before
You are a pro with that caulking gun. My 2$. If you use your gloved finger to spread it thin on both parts. You'll have less push out and a better seal. Cheers!
Its all about the views with the ASMR. UA-cam must have a favorable algorithm to it because they're getting hundreds of thousands of views on those videos. I get it from a business stand point but do it on a tear down that doesn't matter. Not the assembly that everyone is watching and wants to learn. Come on Devin your doing us dirty in favor of the view's.
@@Karpofcarp Aluminum has a fatigue life, it's not like steel, if you don't deform steel it'll never fatigue. With aluminum rods it's not a matter of if, but when. Titanium retainers are lighter than steel ones, so allow you higher revs because of the lighter valve train, but it's not as tough as steel. The rockers will eventually start wearing on the retainers. You want a high revving Honda engine, get S2000 valvetrain stuff. The oil pump and the valve train is good for 9,200rpm reliably. I don't think you need to rev more than that.
@@Karpofcarp It is! It's great for reducing weight, but it's really expensive because you have to replace the rods constantly. You don't have to do that with steel rods.
Am from africa and i study mechanics n believe me when i say our lecturers use devins video to explain some of the things we do🙌🏿
That's cool 100%
That’s so sick
Cap
I’m hoping Devin decides to do an LS build someday. Super easy motor to work on and the smiles per hour are great if you supercharge or turbo them.
I feel devin would look good in a grand national
Yup American domestic engines and European engines too
Should get a g body and ls swap it. Doesn't have to be GN
I like to see build B58 supra or Bmw😅
Honda's are easiest to work on dam easy a 12 year old can build it
chiropractic back cracking and torque wrench cracking is just as satisfying
You’re a stud brother! I know cameras make it look like you’re having a fun time all the time, but you’re a naturally gifted mechanic! Good stuff bro
great job man, that valve adjustment i would get your self a bend feeler gauge.
These builds are the best!
Oh I love it when Devin does an engine build.
That three bond gasket maker Devin is using has to be the best gasket maker you can get these days!
Damn that was relaxing to watch. And got me super motivated to go work on my car. The clean, silent atmosphere is perfection 👌🏻
this makes me wanna work on something. God I love these videos. Devin you have my dream job. Never forget to count your blessings.
A true and proven demonstration in the path of nothing, but, PERFECTION.
Dude beautiful video with out a single word, lovely video.
Make sure the fire rings seam is lined up with a head stud
Wow honda memang laju laa di dunia nie😂😂mantap laa 👍

what a baller video brother the ending scene had me ROCK solid bro
Didn't even torque the crank bolt. Shiet. I'm playin. This was beautiful
Just sitting down for lunch. Let’s go!
1:13 What are these rings for??
Nicee jobe man❤
Love you from iran🇮🇷
why is it so beautiful
a silent treatment that actually educational.....🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Lays dimes with that RTV!
Crazy time

Why did you pound the fire rings flat ? Aren't they supposed to stick out and become compressed by that head to make a better seal?
Don't all you ladies and gentlemen copy me but when I get on here I feel like I've become a family member 4:37
My boy is being quiet again. Nice vid man.
When you put the washers on its supposed to be like bearings 2:46
The thumbnail 👌🏻👌🏻
Beautiful video
I’m waiting until Devin discovers the 5 cylinder
Good work 👍
10 and 12 mm with screwdriver valve lash 6:39
ASMR vibes 🤙🏽😎
Why you do not use the glue at oil gasket ?
Interesting, no gasket for the pan at all?
The oil pan on these don’t need a gasket or sealer?
Devin that oil pan will leak again, seems like you didn’t put silicone all around. I may be wrong
I'd love to see the blooper reels to these ASMR videos. There's No way you didn't drop a few F Bombs or other words of encouragement 😂
I thought you are suppose to put RTV on the oil pan.😅 Never have had a Moroso pan so I am not entirely sure.
7:30 why only put RTV in those two spots and not the whole thing? Genuinely curious. Never had a Moroso pan.
wondering the same here
Salute 💯
Bro the way u tightend ur cams down could have broken ur cams u should have tighten those bolts evenly down 👊🏾👊🏾
Smoooth!
Why did you only seal one side of the valve cover? Learning myself so don’t judge.
i thought you said you wearnt pulling oil pick up and stuff. did you pull a bearing cap?
I promise you with vtec it will make more power 3:43
i put pistons in engine block with new rings and when i turn over i see some scratch on cylinder wall?
What camera and lenses are you using to make the video?
what brand sillicone is that ??
🔥🔥
Bro, you really can👍
Price ?
Why not have the block and head machined for a proper fire ring heasgasket set?
im hoping you put those rings closest to head stud bolts for more clamping torque
The rings go around the piston cylinders
Does any one know what the part number is for these pistons?, what compression will this have & the most boost it will reach?.
You degree the cams?
Wat is the wire thing u using in the block
Very nice 😎😎😎👍👍👍
Degree the motor?
К20 или К24?

I hope someday Devin buy a American car like a srt4
Rick James 😂😂😂____$ 9:01
Does anyone know what sealant devin uses
Most likely The Right Stuff by Permatex
Can't wait to see him blow it up on the dyno.
A pattern is emerging... 😊
I really wanna see the 2jz built🥹
Was hoping you'd teach us how to properly install the fire rings but we got another ASMR instead. ☹️

It's a K
1000hp? With what?
Nice....the sound of metal and all.. 😅
Y la prueba?
El video dice armado, no prueba. La prueba está en el video del civic en su canal
