I Went to Film the Feral Pigeons at the New Roosting Building. Interesting Colors!

- The feral pigeons that were feeding at the mill changed their roosting location to a much better place, a tall building in the town where birds of prey rarely attack. They are still attacked on their way to the mill daily so the selection is done. Look at the vitality of some of them, with no medication, vaccines or special pigeon food.

I love watching feral pigeons out in the wild. Some great places around where I live to see these birds.
love your video..😘
Very interesting story and looks like some of those feral pigeon were your principals birds that passed down generations after generations
Need another video like this👏
Nice story !!!
Thank you.
@@Pigeonmaniacom I love your pigeon loft, is the best structure I ever see. Wonderfulllll
Bird at 1:54 really grabs attention. I had one like him once and it gave me some really beautiful Ash reds and red grizzles.
Tnx for video, its refreshing.
Thank your very much.we seen super video
Nice! I wish someone will takecare of them🕊👍
Reading what you said, there are three aspects we keep in mind:
1. Homeless pigeons could be made stars too💥💥💪 (now they took thousands of "like"s here... 😁
2. The video is "in memoriam" to your principal 🙏
3. The most important, *a pigeon fancier means first of all loving the pigeons and only after that appreciating the races...* 👍
P.S. so, you are 34-35 years old, eh?...😋 Good for you! 🥳
40ish :). I regret not spending more time with him, he was delightful to talk with. I was very happy when I saw him at the club a few times sending a few pigeons for races but he never used a clocking system, flying them just for the pleasure of arrivals. Lately he had some white pigeons and some of those might be at the base of the white colors in these ferals.
@@George.T. It's ~20. That could also mean 30. :p
@@George.T.

Amazing video happy to see it these ferals are good birds a few look like they were homers before ferals
Yup, there are at least two racers there.
@@Pigeonmaniacom yeh its just how nature works
oh my god...look at those cute fluffy birds that stand all cute and quiet and peaceful and boom they take off jet speed and return like nothing happened all innocent. They truly are innocent species on earth. I wanna grab each one of them and kiss them on their chest or the crop area, the squishy part. I love pigeons!
Cool thanks mate
Very nice Pigeons!
That was my high school. When I was admitted there ~ 20 years ago, there were a few pigeons in the attic. I learnt that the principal was a pigeon fancier and he took care of those pigeons as well. I was a shy kid and I didn’t have the courage to talk to the principal about pigeons. I had some poor ferals at home in a rabbits cage and I was totally shocked when one day the principal came to my “loft” with 4 young racing pigeons as a gift. I still remember how perplexed I was and I will never forget that day and those pigeons: they were some perfectly developed great looking racing pigeons - a red, a grizzle, a blue bar and a pied chequer. I guess that is when my love for racing pigeons started. By the time I graduated, there were no more pigeons in the attic and I also had to give up pigeons to focus on studies.
Many years later, I returned and got pigeons again - only racing pigeons. This time I had the courage to contact the principal and I was very happy when he visited my new loft and we enjoyed a few hours talking about pigeons and admiring the pigeons activity around the loft. Like me, he loved the birds more than the races and he had a great way of describing this hobby. He was happy to learn that all those racing pigeons swarming around us were mostly the result of his kindness from years ago.
Recently he passed away. :(
Also recently, some feral pigeons moved in the attic again…
That's really a nice story. I have a similar one of my own and I believe all pigeons lovers began some place and had some person as a mentor.
@@PPALoft Cool, tell me about your story one day. By the way, we used to call the principal "The Vox"... and now here I've just got a comment from an user named Pigeon Vox. Coincidence but... OMG, this is almost surreal!
@@Pigeonmaniacom Will definitely share my story. Part of it is when I had a red roller friend :) Got it from a fancier and I had him with me all the time in the apartment where I lived with my parents. I took him with me everywhere, even when I was playing with the kids outside and he was flying and always landing on my head or shoulders. I was devastated when I lost him... eaten by a cat in the countryside. But there is much more of the story than this... will share it one day.
Anyway, regarding Pigeon Vox... yes, life has its mysterious ways, doesn't it? :)
Foarte frumos !
Aww, man! I`m sorry for the loss! You honored him with this post and created a heartwarming memory.
The grey one at 4:25 is stunning. Matches the clouded sky. Lovely feral birds. Awesome video.
Glad you like it. I am not sure that pigeon is grey or just a dirty white, I don't even know if that color exists. I know the lemon color mutation but it looks a bit different.
Supporters here from Philippines ❤️❤️
I wish more videos to come from your super pigeon's ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Amazing content. Cheers and happy flying 👍
Good hobby Make movie From pigeons
Love feral pigeons also i feed them every day. Love thoose type av videos To see feral pigeons.
I kinda missed these feral pigeons videos. Today I was at the Unirii Sq. and while I was waiting at the red light, I got the chance to observe the hundreds of feral pigeons fighting over some pieces of bread thrown by someone. A game of colors and chaos. I might go there some day and bring them some corn to become friends with them. :)
Yeah, there are a few different colonies in Bucharest. I used to feed the pigeons in the Cismigiu Park and most often then ones in Tineretului Park, close to where I lived (the first video on this channel is with them).
@@Pigeonmaniacom I've seen those videos as well :D
Interesting colours
Nice. I have all colors with my pigeons.
Foarte frumos clipul va doresc mult succes pe viitor !
Multumesc asemenea Valentin.
Respect ! 👍
Nice 👍🏽
update to your birds sir god bless keep safe
if I were you what I would have done is gone back to that building on a night when the power went out with a net, climbed that building and try to catch as much of those ferals as possible, on second thought maybe not, I just remembered that I'm afraid of heights.
Haha, lol, good one. I prefer your second option: maybe not.
Aha ok msf
Beautyful! These are domestic pigeons that escaped or get lose . Thats because the colors are so
i m quite sure there will be few racing pigeon with rings on, in these pigeons

Veri got
Nice video! Possible to film inside!?
I don't think so, although it would be fascinating to see.
@@Pigeonmaniacom that's also what i think. Filming what happens up there. Growing youngsters!!
0:37 he is looking like a roller :D. Seamana exact cu unul
Whats the difference btween feral and racers?can they patner to breed?
Racers are a bit bigger, with more muscle and brain and they can return from hundreds of Km away from the loft. Yes, they can and do partner to breed, they both have the wild rock dove at the origin. Actually many ferals are stray lost racing pigeons or have such genes from previous generations so sometimes they even look almost similar.

Hi👉💯💚
Get in there and take some eggs imagine winning a national race with one 😂😂
The winner of the 2013 south African Million dollar one loft race was a feral pigeon
Hello My Friend, do you sell birds ?
Sir how to keep birds fat to fit without flying around so any ways I want body fit so wath to do
Feed less but can't keep them fit without flying.
PIGEONS DESPERATELY NEED HELP !!
90% of pigeons in cities die in their first year of their lifes. The others don't live longer than 2-3 years.
In nature, they can live up to 12-15 years !
They have nothing to eat, they are forced to eat trash and they freeze to death.
Pigeons can NOT live naturally in cities. They are only here because of breeders !!

Thank you for the video and wonderful story!!
Congratulations to the building owner for letting the pigeons live there in the attic !
Very interesting, from what i can see the pigeons need to fly away for finding food, how far you think they go ?
Me to here in Amsterdam i feed feral pigeons and other birds, but here not so much prey and predator...
They have to fly about 2-3 Km to the mill. During bad weather they fly extremely fast at roof levels, trying to avoid predation. Since all of them must fly daily to get food, any weak pigeon is eliminated instantly, this is why they look so well. Our weak pigeons stay in the loft with food coming under their noses.
They look so healthy and happy! Not always the case for feral pigeons.

I would not trap any, they must be free...
