  • Last week presidential candidate Nikki Haley was asked what she thought started the Civil War. Her first response was to ask "What do you think started it", she then went on to bumble and yap about nothing saying buzz words like "small government", "capitalism", and "freedom" without ever mentioning anything specific. The voter then responded that it was amazing that she did not mention slavery, her response to that was "What do you want me to say about slavery" as if to imply she was too dumb to know slavery played a role or she was of the mindset slavery did not play a role in the war.

Slavery and Wight supremacy were at the core of the confederacy discussing the Confederacy without slavery is like discussing the nazis without antisemitism and racism.

This! It is like saying the nazis were just fighting for their fatherland. It is a deep missunderstanding of what happend and how antisemitism was inbedded in everything.

Can I just say, I'm a Wight Supremecist. The Isle of Wight is a great holiday destination. And yet I have not caused ANY civil wars, not even ONE - *Checkmate Lincolnites*

This whole video ignores very critical documents like the Arkansas, Georgia, Mississipi, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia secession resolutions. Both explicitly mention slavery and and some complain about the North giving them grief about it.
    The war was about slavery.
