Thank you so very much for sharing this wonderful story of African-Americans serving our country in the Civil War. Then to gain some standing in the community in Northfield,Minnesota. Also,I'm very blessed to be reading a book called "The Ties that Bind," ("A Memoir of Race,Memory, and Redemption.") By Bertice Berry (Bestselling Author of "Redemption Song") I now know I have much reading and learning to do,but I also know that when I didn't have any active friends,I did gain two new friends, when I couldn't afford a roof over my head my slightly darker shaded companions, helped support me while I was all alone. Great friends, and I love those guys in Jesus' love, very sincerely.
700,000 peak soldiers in Union army. Approx. 200,000 Black union soldiers. True number unknown due to mullato soldiers who enlisted by passing as whites. Think about that.
Because they think just because the South went red means the party switch. Maybe the South got less racist but they don't think about that. Democrats keeping them on that plantation.
Please sto using the word "slave." Nobody was born a slave. Our African Ancestors were ENSLAVED. The y escaped the plantations, and they fought for freedom, and they won.
Bill Green was my professor in college! An awesome man I learned so much from him!

Praise the Lord of heaven and earth for Black stories in American history is finally being told.🌍

Who the f^ck cares about an American’s race?
Oh yeah. The race baiters who care more about their race than the fact that they’re an American.
Black history IS American history!
We have to tell that history ourselves, and take it from the whitewash.
@@GeorgeSeeAll so tell it.
I love the story between Schaefers and Dixon. Great video! Very informative ❤

Holt Collier was a proud Confederate sharp shooter
Why did black people vote for Robert Byrd's best friend?

Blue boyz.
During the BLM riots 54th Massachusetts memorial was vandalized 🤦
I don’t like the term African American. I prefer the term black American. I don’t see people calling yt people European American
this documentary is great but the rapping takes me out of the immersion.
