I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

God speed. Better you than me.
Huh?
😂😂😂😂❤
To be totally honest, the very thought of eating this nauseated me.
😖
Same here..lol 🤢
I like how ashens tried a minute bite of it and almost had his soul ripped from his body and my man just treated it like a beyldade and lit it rip. Love this guy
beyldade? had to look that up. did you mean 'beyblade'? did you decide to use a word that the majority of people on earth have never seen or heard one single time in their entire lives but on top of that didn't even spell it right? beyldade???
@@jaysonstinson9458 you seem pretty upset about a 3 month old spelling error.

I bought these too, thinking they'd be a fun foodie adventure. My high hopes were quickly shattered. I really wanted to like them. The chewy brown translucent jelly-like outside might have been slightly enjoyable, if not for the dank, mushy, grotesquely rotten-looking yolk, which had the piquant flavor profile of spoiled blue cheese, a dank moldy basement, and pungent sulfur from the deepest pits of Abaddon - paired with the creamy mouthfeel of the contents of a diaper. I still have 5 more in the fridge, and on the bright side, I don't expect them to "go bad" any time soon, since they couldn't possibly get any worse 8)
You seem to have a gift for writing and I just want you to know you're veering into villain territory by using it for evil and making us imagine that experience in vivid detail
My mom would buy these at the oriental grocery store. Put it in with Jook, rice porridge which is very hot. Wouldn’t eat it myself but the older family members seemed to like it.
Whenever it was in my jook i’d always scoop it out and give it to my dad lol. Still do it to this day
older folks grew up poor. thats why they eat whatever. My grandpa was the same way lol grew up during the great depression
@@poindextertunesI didn’t like it when I was young but now I love it, probably because my taste buds are different now.
“It looks like cheese or diarrhea” 😂😅🤣
Let’s give that a sniff 😂
everywhere ive seen it being served, its usually served chopped up in porridge of rice and isnt eaten by itself. it actually looks nice when its served that way and ive always wanted to try it.
doesnt seem like that weird a food, its kinda just something thats been aged like cheese
it's poor people food
@@priceandpride🤪
The reason this egg exists is the same reason we all now get rona once or twice a year. I wish we lived in a world where people don't think rotten eggs and bats are yummy. But each to there own I guess
@@priceandpride You got some poor people's thought.
@@toysrus2413
Lol! Speak for yourself. I never got “rona,” because I wasn’t a lemming.
I tried this in a bowl of noodles that my Chinese friend prepared. It tasted very similar to a normal hen's egg. My favorite 'alternate' eggs are quail's eggs: hardboiled for 3 minutes, run under cold water, peeled and served with celery salt.
I tried a duck egg from my friend's coop. And what struck me was how the membrane inside was so strong that I failed to crack a sunny-side fried egg. Wrestling with the membrane inside the shell broke the yolk.
Why dont you guys cook your eggs, stop eating raw yolks thats disgusting
wasn’t expecting you to just eat an entire half in 1 go😂 ur the best dude
Hey thanks you taught me the difference between "expiration" and best by dates!! I did not know that.
I applaud your bravery and curiosity with these strange foods. Better you than me!
Same here. I wouldn’t dare to taste it myself. No way.
We started raising chickens years back and I was shocked to learn about the "room temperature storage" option. However, it really is effective. It feels so counterintuitive to not only leave them dirty, but then to leave them on a counter afterwards... but fresh eggs just taste so much better and last so long! I was really impressed🐔
It's really weird to see eggs being sold in other countries out on the grocery store shelves not refrigerated at all.
The rest of the world leaves them how they are. They probably think we’re weird and wasteful by washing them then storing them refrigerated. My family raises chickens and we always wash them and store them refrigerated right before we use them. But it was relatively recently I found out that you don’t have to keep them cold if you leave them unwashed. I think it’s pretty neat honestly
@@mathewdoyle2872 Well it’s honestly kinda gross to just leave poop covered ones on your counter imo. I used to have chickens and I’d leave the relatively clean ones on the counter and wash and refrigerate the ones with any visible poop on them. My brother on the other hand always has a poop covered egg bouquet sitting on his counter.

You have a Chinese grocery store near you? You should do more videos on Chinese food products. I'm lucky to have a bunch of big Asian stores near me because I live in central NJ. There's one that I like to go to whenever I'm in the area, Asian Foods (I think it's a chain with multiple locations,) that has these sweet brioche buns with all different kinds of fillings. I always get the barbequed pork ones. They're filled with pulled pork with Korean style barbecue sauce. They're so good, they're practically addictive! If you ever go to the Chinese store, check to see if they have something like that in the bakery section.
I’m pretty adventurous when it comes to trying food from different cultures, etc, I just don’t always know what to try. The last time I was in an Asian market, I was overwhelmed by all of the different products, and not understanding what the majority of them were, I picked just a few things that I recognized and left. There’s so much more there to experience, but unless you already know what to look for or have someone guide you, it remains a mystery.
@@TheSaltyExplorer I also have a huge Indian supermarket near me in central NJ and that's how I feel when I go in there. I wish I could find a good comprehensive cookbook for Indian food that basically is to that, what the Good Housekeeping Illustrated Cookbook is to American food. There are some decent cook books, but nothing like that.
Welcome back. feels like we haven’t you seen you a while. Great video as always.
Duck eggs are much more dense, the whites are much thicker and the yolk is also much bigger and the shell is also a lot thicker too. I have ducks so eat a lot of them flavour wise fresh they are very similar to chicken eggs but richer.
Just curious… How often do your ducks lay eggs?
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 Typically daily, Have a mix of breeds some of them are real consistent but the more wild ones are more sporadic, They all stop during winter though.
Yeah they taste more fatty, I like them more than chicken eggs.

seems kind of odd that you'd use, what you assume to be his name (yeah yeah he put a name in a description tho), when it makes more sense to use his moniker. not sure what you're trying to prove by it are you trying to make people believe you're friends?
@@mr.behaving not really. It seems odd to use his moniker when he has an actual name. Is that what names are for? You kids are funny
👍🏼😎 Well then! Thanks for taking the proverbial bullet for us. I am pretty open to anything but the balut and this are near the line I’ve drawn.
The ash is what preserves the egg. Ash has high alkaline and that is what turns the egg black
Thanks Post! 👊🏻👍🏻 but that's a hard NOPE ! 🤢🤮 🤣 Appreciate you my friend 🙏🏻 Don't forget the pepto 😁
seriously, those eggs smell like smegma
I've heard of those. I don't think I'll ever try one. 😆 Thank you for your video!
That outfit though 😂 I love it
if the same product has 3 different appearances and consistencies, then it is a very bad sign.
fresh eggs can definitely sit on your counter for at least a month.
I absolutely love your shirt! And very interesting video. I really enjoy your content
I’m glad I couldn’t smell it through my phone 🤣
Sadly, I do. When someone describes something nasty enough, my brain literally hallucinates smells. 😂
I’ve eaten it before. You’re supposed to eat it with some soy sauce or together with some other cold cut food
Great video as always! Love the shirt!! 🐱🐈⬛
The way you take down the 2nd half without hesitation. Good gracious!
You can coat eggs with mineral oil and store at room temp for up to 3 months. really, they are good till they float
Cool, I've never seen those types of eggs before! Hey Post, just in case you don't know, your thumbnail nail and notification says 1000 year old egg 😉
that is called the post10 special
Mad respect for you rocking that shirt :)
Really enjoy your videos, and have learned alot while going through them. Just FYI, old days: Not "lead," buy Lye (which could be even more disconcerting, lol) Stay well!
I didn’t know you were a crazy cat guy 😹😹love the shirt. Keep up the great videos
You got bigger Kahuna's than me as there is no way I would eat one of those. But all the same thank you for the excellent video.

Nice I’ve always wondered what these actually were like I’ve only seen them unwrapped/ de shelled in ramen and stuff. Thanks!
I love your channel! keep it up!
I was in a popular co-op natural foods market in SF. There was a spreadsheet on the fridge door, detailing the practices of all the farms supplying eggs to the store. Only two of them didn't de-beak the hens.
Those snowflake shapes looks like crystals.
I'm willing to bet it's the sodium.
Brave man. Beautiful but scary all at once..👍🏻
When cut open, they almost look like geodes. Squishy, slimy geodes.
You should be on the Believe it or Not show! 😂
You're wild dude, I don't find myself a picky eater but there are somethings like this and Natto that I just can't stomach.
Although considering all the things youve opened and tried I bet the old can of Spam is way worse lol.
We eat century egg with sliced pickled young ginger similar to that served at a Japanese restaurant. It helps to cover the metallic taste of the egg. I like the whites and give the yolk to my brother who loves eating century egg very much. He cannot hv enough of them. 😊
😲😲 fair play much love from Dorset UK 🇬🇧

If you post next week, we'll know you survived this 😂
Interesting, but no. I don't think I could eat those. You are awesome for being willing to try anything. Thank you.☮️💖🎶
Mr. Hungry Toilet is very sad that you didn't share the eggies with him. He would have enjoyed it more than the critters outside.
Post always delivers with the food content!
I dry heaved on the last 2 eggs. Btw the egg you ate last month is pronounced BA-LOOT. Love your channel ❤
"I'll take one of the ones that look good for this test"...
Dude none of those look good for a test.
It actually tastes quite good with congee, anyways you’re a brave man post
I hope "Free Range" actually means what it sounds like. Thank you for clarifying the meaning of "Cage Free".
Some of the amazon reviews for these eggs are hilarious 😂
Years ago I had Mallard ducks and I gave some eggs to a Chinese woman I worked with. She made this from them. Eggs are left in a strong salt water filled bowl for about a month at room temp. Duck eggs have a very strong shell too. Mallard eggs have green shells.
Love your shirt brotha❤
Make some 100 year egg salad 😂.....wonder how people figured something like this out.
Makes me wonder about all the things that were tried that didn’t pan out
Agave is a desert plant like aloe vera, used for syrups and liquors. Agar-agar is a gelatin from a clear sea vegetable.
Omg! You ate it! You are braver than us!
Some things you could try , vintage baby food! Vintage coffee and tea , vintage potato chips, and vintage chocolate!
The swag in this video is off the charts. That outfit is incredible.
It’s just unbelievable what people come up with to this extent instead of just frying or boiling them up. 😂
They came up with these things to preserve them. Long before there was refrigerators and grocery stores. These were basically the MREs of the ancient world.
Most food back then would be considered an “MRE” style of preservation. A lot of dried food, a lot of food in mud, a lot of salt.
If you saw my comment on your bathroom video about how you remove the aerator adapter off of the bathroom sink, the sink you have in your downstairs bathroom I believe that one already has either a stainless steel or a plastic screen in it underneath the aerator if you wanted more volume can water flow in that sink you can unscrew the adapter and you can actually take the aerator out of the frame it sits in and if there's a screen below it most of the time you can run it without the aerator and that screen will let the water come out full and clear and when you shut the water off you won't have any dribble
My upstairs bathroom did not have an aerator on it, it came with a mini hydroelectric generator with lights but it sprayed out of the holes so fast that it would Splash everywhere so I removed it
You have cage free which most big manufacturers offer. Then you have free range eggs. The free range chickens literally lay when they want it’s not forced.
I think it went bad based on what ChatGPT said:
The ammonia smell in spoiled or expired fish is indeed related to the breakdown of proteins into various compounds, including amines and ammonia. Spoilage bacteria and enzymes can lead to the production of these compounds, resulting in unpleasant odors.
In the case of century eggs, the preservation process involves alkaline substances like quicklime (calcium oxide), which raises the pH of the eggs and contributes to the chemical transformation. The process does not produce ammonia in the same way as the spoilage of fish. The alkaline environment, along with other factors in the preservation process, contributes to the unique flavor and texture of century eggs.
While both situations involve the transformation of proteins, the processes and end products are different. Spoiled fish produces ammonia as a result of bacterial action on proteins, while century eggs go through a controlled and intentional preservation process that does not involve the production of ammonia in the same way.
If you encounter a strong ammonia smell in century eggs or any other food, it may indicate spoilage or an issue with the preservation process. In such cases, it's advisable to exercise caution and avoid consuming the food. Additionally, if you have concerns about the specific ingredients or processes used in the preparation of century eggs, you may want to check with the supplier or manufacturer for more information.
ammonia smell is normal in this case, ChatGPT can't eat. next time try asking ChatGPT if it's normal for cheese to have a rotten smell.
When raw eggs are subjected to strong alkali, the sulfur-containing amino acids in the yolks and whites are hydrolyzed, releasing hydrogen sulfide and ammonia, which give the eggs a faint ammonia and sulfur taste, which is the main reason for the unique flavor of the eggs, and also gives the eggs their unique brown, green, and dark green coloring.
This reminds me of Hakarl - which is basically rotted fermented shark meat that is served in Iceland. Many.describe it as having a strong ammonia like smell. Other clai. The smell is so strong they gag when trying to eat it for the first time.
I know I'm jaded by my own food experiences but I don't think anyone could pay me enough to eat one of those.
I really love hard boiled eggs, but i dont think i could ever eat those. I appreciate your sacrifice 😔
That shirt is incredible
Mad props bro.
I wouldn't be able to eat them

Some things people decide to eat amazes me. Things like:
- Sauerkraut
- Frogs legs
- Century eggs
- Snails
- Balut
- Surstromming
I can only imagine people _had_ to eat them in the past because that was the only food available, but I'm curious why it became tradition.

Alkalized or Preserved Egg, are a Chinese egg-based culinary dish made by preserving duck, chicken, or quail eggs in a mixture of clay, ash, salt, quicklime, and rice hulls for several weeks to several months, depending on the processing method

Professioanal cuisine chef here. Just so you know, century eggs aren't actually 100 years old, they're about 6-9 months old. Hence the expiry date.
I've had this. It's pretty 😮good if you mix it in congee. (Rice porridge)
Wow. You found a real gem for us today. Thank you sir.
that outfit is absolutely slick.
I sincerely hope you live man, ashens tried something similar and couldn't even down one tiny bit of it. your a real trooper eating a whole egg.
Never tried it, but maybe one day I might give it a chance. Anyways enjoyed the video!
