In Malay, there are two ways of saying "we" which is "kita" for inclusive "we", and "kami" for exclusive "we". This is relatable to "atsika" for inclusive "we" and "zahay" for exclusive "we". I suppose this is something the two Austronesian languages have in common.
hey I really appreciate the way you did it but you should differentiate which dialects you teach because we have many dialects here. thanks. hope you are doing well.
Izy =Easy 😂in my maternel language,we say Ee-Zy 😅Except that it s very cool 👍🏾 Mankasitraka anao mampianatra ny tenin drazako Tongava amin izay Irina ary Antsika tsara jiaby 😂😎😂🇲🇬
Distinction quite common among Austronesian languages (aforementioned Malagasy, Hawai'i, Malay as someone comented below), Tupi-Guarani family, but also some languages of Caucasus (Chechen namely). Surely they are also some other languages that do that, but these are rather the most famous.
Good effort !! Malagasy has so many dialects and you explain well. Official Malagasy is better to learn because it’s widely spoken everywhere. Good job to help à English speakers learn though. Would be great to have a native Malagasy speaker make a Udemy online course.
She was just reasoning in terms of phonetics I think, when it's written it's "ianao", that's correct but then when speaking we are saying "enao" in the center of the island and "anao" at the coast.
False . I'm from madagascar . Merina Malagasy and official Malagasy is two different thing . Merina is an accent / dialect like Sihanaka . Merina = Tribe from the center of Madagascar . The Official Malagasy sounds more " neutral " .
@@hariav1963 The official Malagasy is basically 95% Merina language. The Merina accent you're referring to is just the non-academic accent. Scholars speak with the neutral/academic accent which is basically a Merina accent but is seen as standard.

Interesting! In Guarani language also has "we" (exclusive) and "we" (inclusive)
It's the same in Malay. "Kami" is exclusive for "we", and "kita" is inclusive for "we".

My girlfriend from madagascar sat close to me while watching this and she was like "What the hell is she talking", most of the time :D

Thanks for the video. You used to be a peace corp in Madagascar ?
Which "we" do you use when speaking to multiple people, some of whom belong to the group and others who don't?

Why there is no 'she' as a personal pronoun in Malagasi language?????
There is no gender. He and she are the same.

She Nevers said she teaches official languague. instead she said FROM DIEGO.
