- It is very common for the carburetor bowl and jet to get clogged up with sediment from old gummy fuel when a mower has sat in storage for an extended time. This video will show you in detail how to resolve that problem and get your mower back in business. Thanks for watching and have a great day!

Wondering why you didn't remove carb from manifold - also should of clean the emulsion tube inside carb.
There is a tube that goes from the nozzle you cleaned so thoroughly up into the carb body that comes out with a thin screwdriver that carries the fuel up from the inlet in the bottom of the carb to the top of the carb. It too has to be removed and cleaned and is why it would not continue to run after you primed it. After a bit of time it seemed to clear itself a little bit, but it was still running too lean.
yes, you are right. I have had difficulty sometimes getting that brass jet to come out and I end up boggering the soft metal with my screwdriver....
The brass emulsion tubes on the older model Tecumsehs are not removable. The plastic ones are removable. @@Buckwsr
Whaat does the screw on the governor do? My machine started but runs so slow it cant cut a blade of grass. It is running though.
Just curious could you have taken the carb off from the manifold instead of struggling with the the two bolts to free it up. From the picture is appears taking it off from the manifold would be easier. Don't know - just curious.
Yes, I think you are right that removing the carb and intake together might have been easier. I will have to remember that for the next one! Thanks for the tip!
How many CCs are these?
The title of your video is misnamed? This is a Tecumseh engine.
Yes, a Tecumseh engine on a Craftsman lawnmower.
That is the dirtiest carb bowl I've seen ,It looks like oil got into the fuel system.
never ever gasoline w/ethanol inside. ethanol=votka, sigar, water, etc. must pure gasoline 92, 93. use stabilisator in tank for long time storage. do not leave tank w/o gasoline. start or move the engine one time a month or two monts. the engine must have the oil periodicaly inside. DO NOT IGNORE THE ENGINE NEVER EVER. Pay attention like the car engine.
That is the dirtiest carb I have ever seen. Guy uses maple syrup for fuel!
