Aicha understands her objective succinctly summarised into 3 sentences: 1. Execute 2. Get to market 3. Scale. The rest are details. She is such an elegant CEO.
I love her answer to @6:25, she didn't highlight her being a person of colour but who she is as a person. Dear journalist, pls dont make it about color that seems like wants to divide us rather than unite us. I salute you Aicha Evans!
I really liked how she approached some of the more political and/or race oriented questions from the interviewer. Rather than centering her entire experiences around her identity, she focuses more on her personal merits while also highlighting the importance of her identity, being a black woman in tech, and how she sees it as an advantage by bringing a new perspective to the table. She also brilliantly highlights some of the challenges she’s faced because of her identity while also explaining how she overcame them. Her personality really shines through in this interview. She’s a brilliant woman with an optimistic and solution-oriented outlook and she, no doubt, has a bright future ahead of her. I think I’ve just found me a new idol
Senegalese womenare amazing. And strong. I lived with a Senegalese family for a year. I learned so much from the matriarch of that family she was the head.
It is a very very valid question as I am black professional as well and being the only black face in the room is something you have to embrace. We are taught that we have to be twice as good as pour colleagues in order to be accepted.. and there's some truth to that. It's also a dynamic that most white people have never experienced. And probably couldn't deal with... And for the record black women are doing FAR better than black.men are in both academia and in corporate America. Primarily because black.men are seen more as a threat.
I don't care what anybody says I want one of these for myself and I want to be able to put a specialized license plate on it so I can use it as a pub crawler PBCRWLR HOPEFULLY THE DMV WOULD LET ME DO THAT
It is revolutionary in autanamous vehicle sector I like transportation vehicle it really useful vehicle to public transportation in city ❤ especially untill now this vehicle some thing different from all vehicles like this vehicle interior and exterior the design of the vehicle is futuristic
Zoox seems like a great product, but development is too slow, and by Aicha's final comment that in 10 years she hopes to have Zoox in several cities, she is setting the bar very low. I think Zoox needs to step up development before the competitors overtake them.
The bad thing is to see so many stupid comments about car vs vehicle. A motorcycle is a vehicle, a bike, a scooter, a boat, a snowmobile all vehicles morons. A Motorcycle is not a car but still a vehicle, Monorail not a car still a vehicle. It does not matter how many wheels it has. If it can transport people or things it’s a vehicle. She’s right stop trying to make her wrong.
Love Aicha Evans. Very polished. I don't know why Alice Chung keeps asking/rephrasing race questions to Aicha again and again. 1 or 2 is enough -- why keep beating that drum? As a minority myself in an industry where I am not overly represented, it's a little unnerving to have one's ethnicity overly emphasized. It's no wonder certain segments of the country's voting populace are getting calloused and in the worse case scenarios, even more bigoted. Just keep it professional.
don't sugarcoat it. It was a fire sale, Zoox raised $1B and sold for $1B, do the math. Zoox never figured out their strength and may have never had one.
2:36 Zoox sounds confused just like Uber who claims they are "not a transportation company." Big Tech is trying to change the name of transportation just like they are trying with video games and the so called "meta verse"
Software is more important than hardware. Zoox will not happen. Nice vehicle for a golf course, but not for real traffic. Tesla is doing the right thing.
Some people actually like driving. Maybe AI should replace the entire work force and call it a day. So no more family vacations, or driving cross country if you feel like it, etc. What happens if there's an emergency? You wait for one of these cars to take you out of town? Some people like the benefit of having their own car, In my family we've owned over 100 vehicles, and at any given point over 7 cars plus at a time in my immediate family of about 10 adults that can drive. NONE of us ever drove overly drunk, endanger the lives of anyone, or drove so irresponsible as to put others lives in danger.....and that goes for most American families. Just because you have jackasses driving drunk, that doesn't mean ALL ddrivers drive drunk. People do bad crimes with guns and knives everyday, does that mean ALL guns and knives should be outlawed? No because most legal guns owners are responsible and everyone use knives to cook. So how does it make sense to get rid of these items? Well the same can be said for a car man
they are not in the business of manufacturing and selling the "car" but rather they're building a system that will provide mobility solutions using a vehicle prototype that is different from everything else on the market.
I love the fact she's realistic with some of her answers. No inflated ego at all
She is delusional
As a Senegalese, I felt so good when I heard she's from Senegal. Amazing to see and very inspiring!
I want her to bring this to Dakar.

I feel this on so many levels.
Well done Aicha Evans❤
She's is so clear in her mind about the things around her domain
Zoox first of its kind Amazing can’t wait
very good interview
Super honest in her answers
She rolled her eyes so hard when the interviewer mentioned being a black woman in a male dominated industry. She was like….here we go 🙄

Great interview. Aicha looks like a great leader: highly intelligent, eloquent, empathetic, grounded, purpose-driven, and passionate.
Great interview

She's my new hero! Like literary.
Inspiring
What about the rural areas? It is quite difficult to get transportation in the country
shes an inspiration
why did the image with robotic car have a Palestinian flag when Aicha was talking about her son (8:26)
?
Aicha Evans is awe inspiring!
Such a strong women . ❤️
That factory is full of men.
So stunning and brave right? Hahaha
She mentioned her race 3 time so far. So annoying. What does that have to do with anything? Give it a break lady. Aicha is just great!

What are some competitors they have?
Slow and steady growth 📈

If she really means what she is saying she would invest her time in tram, metro and train public transport and not this.

Well the new Supreme Court justice is confused with what a woman is. So Pat for the course in these times.
If Zoox is not selling vehicles when are they gona get profitable considering the cost to make a vehicle.
Another Jeff Bezos’ pet project

Clicked to learn about Zoox, but got a Woke lesson.
She instructed employees to steal Tech from Tesla. Read the court documents and settlement. Funny you don’t mention that.
They are not making real products anytime soon.
I usually hate, I mean really hate, feminist interviews- they make me want to rip my eyes out. But this was ok. This was pleasant-
Nobody knows the French society navya shuttle ? A full l4 shuttle, a MoU with ksa , in Japan with softbank...?
No longer interested in Zoox
