I’ve only upgraded the ram to an 8GB SSD and it works as FAST AND flawlessly as my Dads 2019 MBP doing normal every day workflow tasks with 20+ pages open. It’s faster than our work computers on the same network, and those are hard wired in on Ethernet.

My old Mac Pro sounds like a jet taking off if I crank the fans. I find that comforting. 48Gb ram, multiple SSDs, RX580, 12 cores with two Xeon processors, etc. Cost me about 1/50th of a new Mac Pro. I have no problem editing all of the RAW video that I shoot. I don't shoot 6k or 8k raw - that is just silly!

@Michael Pace what does weight have to do with it? How does its weight prevent it from being delivered to your home via car carrier, flatbed, or driver after purchase? It is a fairly strong probability, the car dealership is closer to your home than the Apple store or distribution center.
@@Heist1000 So I'm guessing you've never shipped anything before? When things are heavier/bigger it costs more to ship them. Therefore if you're spending 40k on a computer you would think that they could cover the small cost of shipping. Whereas a car is much more expensive to ship, it becomes a little more understandable to pay for that delivery.

I’ve only upgraded the ram to an 8GB SSD and it works as FAST AND flawlessly as my Dads 2019 MBP doing normal every day workflow tasks with 20+ pages open. It’s faster than our work computers on the same network, and those are hard wired in on Ethernet.

My old Mac Pro sounds like a jet taking off if I crank the fans. I find that comforting. 48Gb ram, multiple SSDs, RX580, 12 cores with two Xeon processors, etc. Cost me about 1/50th of a new Mac Pro. I have no problem editing all of the RAW video that I shoot. I don't shoot 6k or 8k raw - that is just silly!
