As I once said, more and more becoming the US version of London Watch Collector...can't wait to see your next piece! Keep it up with the excellent content.
One of the coolest pateks out there. Congratulations!
We agree!
Congrats!! Thanks for sharing your Patek journey with us.
You bet!
Wow huge congrats! Such a great watch and Patek collection. The fact that you were able to amass such a collection relatively quickly is very encouraging. Well done and enjoy in good health!
Thanks!! I feel very fortunate to have these four exquisite Patek Philippe models that I continue to enjoy wearing. Any one of these goes very well with my standard office attire.
I really enjoy and appreciate watching your content because it seems more relatable and conversational than many of the other watch channels that seem like they’re talking at you. Keep up the great work and collection!
Glad you enjoy it!
Another beauty! Looks great with the textured black strap. Might be the most suitable out of the four for everyday wear. Congratulations again.
Congratulations…. That’s a gorgeous watch and fabulous collection 👍
Great video. I just purchased the 5226G and will be picking it up this week.
Awesome. You will be amazed by wearing this. This might be my favorite watch in my collection.
Yes! Wow. Looks even better than I thought. And it looks great on you too. Perfect, actually. What a stunning Patek collection you are building. I bet it won’t be your last watch of the year from them…
This texture on the dial is AMAZING in-person, and the sophisticated case design makes this much more special. This is a lifetime keeper. It will look much better on my wrist once I receive the smaller size strap. What did you think about my "Browsing Watches in NYC" video? Omega and Tudor are doing a great job, but the inaccessibility of AP is disappointing.
Amazing! It is my favorite of your collection so far.
Yay! Thank you! The 5212A is great too.
Thanks for the plug Doc! Super collection!!! MK
👍🏻
Congrats. Incredible collection.
Thank you so much 😀
Congratulations again. So beautiful.
Thank you! Cheers!
Wow what a collection. Stunning
Thanks for liking!
Really a wonderful collection. Patek has the finest timepieces. Wear them in good health.
The fine details of Patek Philippe are much appreciated.
Beautiful watch. I love the different complications in your Patek collection.
Enjoy 🥂🍾
Thanks!
Hey!!! Long time. I remember when you were contemplating getting this one. Glad you pulled the trigger…looks fantastic!! Hope all is well with you!
I'll be back in the city in August. I hope you might be free sometime to meet.
Beautiful - very subtle, congrats
Many thanks!
wow , watch of dreams. Such a versatile watch and just stunning.
The dial colour and texture reminds me (from photos) of the dashboards of classic Ferraris, eg the 250 GTO, which had an anthracite crackle looking finish. Congratulations on amassing a superb watch collection.
great piece, I currently have 6 rolex, overseas dual time, speedy and royal oak.... watching your video make me want to start my Patek journey.
Go for it! Truly excellent pieces.
Wow! You ‘re the best, the very best!
Great collection.
Simple elegance...congratulations!
Yes! Thank you!
What a magnificent and unique collection of Pateks. Congratulations, I like the direction you took and the straps you chose for each one of them. I really enjoyed watching this new addition, so different from pics the way you presented it 👌🏽, I think you have lots of wonderful time pieces you need to enjoy now. Maybe put a pause on adding more and do like I do, I transition to another hobby for a while to catch up. For example, maybe collecting more Montblanc fountain pens like limited editions pieces, St. Dupont, Montegrappa and others, also Japanese paper pads and even different fragrances and colognes, Japanese cooking knives like Shun knives and blade knives for your outings.
I will be in a holding pattern for now and work on my photography. But I do need a new chef knife. Can you recommend an all-purpose Japanese Steel Chef knife?
@@sc1 Try the Classic Shun 8” Premier Chef’s knife
Beautiful Patek collection! Congrats! I can see a 5th rounding out the lineup - a salmon 5236P or 5935A would fit it perfectly 😊
I am enjoying my current collection. (salmon looks NICE)
SC your on a roll, your Patek collection will outpace your Rollie’s soon! Beautiful watch, congratulations! Nautilus or Aquanaut next!
This one came sooner than expected. I anticipate some slow down over the next year. Good to hear from you.
Congratulations! I hope you wear it in good health.
I would say the time/date is the one I prefer from the 2022 release. As much as I am a sucker for a travel time movement, having to use a pusher is a bit tough.
The 5326 has a larger case and is much more expensive.
Congratulations 🎉 wear and enjoy 👌🏻
holy molly, the amount of scratches you have collected in one day of wearing the watch is insane!
Not visible to my naked eye. I can only see them with the camera close-ups.
Congrats on this new pick up!
Thanks!
This is a real beauty. Thanks for sharing.
If you want one that's similar to your day date, I can suggest the vintage patek philippe Calatrava 3565 I just bought. Yellow gold with champagne dial and solid milanese gold bracelet.... It's a beauty too.
Wow, that is old school 1940’s looking. Not sure I could rock it.
@@sc1 it's 1969. Only made around 800 total. Given to top officials by the sultan of Oman, plus the ios version. 35mm was big for the time period and the solid gold melanese bracelet gives it definite presence. However my wife has taken it over and my daughter loves it too. I like watches that I know I'll never run into on another wrist.
At its best, nice looking field watch!!
Thanks 👍
lovely watch .... simple and elegant
thanks!
5726g is a great watch. Is part of my collection.
Gorgeous. And I totally agree with you on the black strap. Makes the dial look even more elegant and subtle, while retaining the luminescence of the numbering and hands. A fantastic addition to your collection. I am also a big fan of the new strap you added to the 5212A. My guess is that it is probably more comfortable on the wrist than the Patek strap. Do you have in mind another watch to add to your Patek collection? It will be interesting to see if you move towards their sports lines.
The steel 5212A is much more versatile in terms of strap options. The other ones are white gold, so you need to use the white gold spring bars that fit in the Patek straps (to avoid damaging the spring bar holes in the case)
@@sc1 How interesting. I have gone back and forth between the 5227R and the 5212A on my favourite in the Calatrava line (as different as they are) but that sort of versatility with the steel is a significant factor.
Beautiful watch
Thanks, I love it
Curious to know which Patek is next in your wishlist! Could you share? Great video
I would love to have a sportier Patek, since my current Patek watches are worn consistently during the workday, and facing clients. Something different and bolder would be welcome for the weekend.
Just a really great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers! A masterpiece.
Love it! A grail for me. Dial is amazing. Congrats.
What is your profession?
The dial is at its best under direct lighting. It is the best feature of this watch, along with the case design.
That's a lovely Hamilton you have there ;)
They have been making some nice improvements!
Great pick up! The lugs arent attached to the case. They are actually attached to the caseback!! They call them floating lugs for this reason and it makes this watch extra special.
Indeed! The hobnail pattern extends uninterrupted completely around the case side. And a unique way to attach the lugs. Yet it feels so solid on the wrist.
I’m wearing it right now, and it feels like a dream to own. Luxury to the tenth degree.
This will be my pick when I’m after a Patek. Huge congrats and hope you get to wear the crap out of it. I own a few pieces with polished bezels (214270 mkII Explorer, GO seventies chrono and even a quartz Tag Link chrono). They’re all steel and they’ve all picked up lots of patina. Explorer is my daily and boy does it show. Very curious how your Patek is holding up and also interested to know whether you find yourself babying it when you wear it. I love the idea of consolidating all my pieces into one true high-end GADA sidekick - but keep wondering if a watch like 5226G is up to facing the harsh realities of daily wear, white gold and all. Would love to hear your experiences, thanks.
Damn, I don’t coddle this watch. It has held up very well. I wear this 5226G very regularly, but granted mostly with a suit and long sleeves.
My Rolex Milgauss has a huge gash on the bezel, don’t know how, but the 5226G has no such marks.
Congrats. I turned down offers by AD not just once but twice within 3 months. It surprised me quite a bit.
Ask them for something your Really want. Maybe you’ll get it.
I love this model. Congratulations. I find it interesting that the lugs on this model are welded to the case back, so as to not disturb the hobnail patter on the side of the case. I wonder if this makes the watch more fragile, or whether it will have to tendency to accumulate gunk between the lugs and the case side.
One of my favorite design details too. I don’t know, but this does not seem fragile at all. There is a slight visible space between the lugs and case.
@@sc1 It looks stunning. What a fantastic watch. This one is on my shortlist to discuss with my AD. The others my list are the 5212 and the 4947. Overall, I think I’m leaving towards the 4947.
@@remus2001 Interesting. I never considered the 4947 (since I already have a blue dial annual calendar) but it does look great. Classic Patek design language.
enjoy, well deserved man! how is accuracy per day for patek watches?
Don’t know for sure, since I haven’t performed extensive testing myself. The Patek Philippe Seal specifies an extreme rate accuracy with a tolerance of no more than -1/+2 seconds per day.
wow i love it
Stupendous spectacular. It’s the Lionel Messi of 8:18 watches. But like the line and billions, you have to be so wealthy that it’s on another level to afford one of these. No one knows you’re wearing a $40,000 watch. That’s the beauty it’s kind of like a Toyota Land Cruiser. Only the people who know know. Wonderful video thanks again.
No one knows what I’m wearing. Perfect!
Love it
for all the beautiful Pateks in the world, this isn’t one for me 😮. But if you love your watch, enjoy it, you are the only who really matters and needs to appreciate it.
I do like your tasteful video 😊. It was a great video
I like how it can look casual from a distance, but with many elegant details up close. I’m wearing the 6119G today with a suit, but this 5226G might be one of my most versatile watches.
can you get nautilus or aquanaut now?
The one thing about Patek you have to know / it’s the Mac daddy of watches. No matter what you have on, once you put the Patek on, everything else fades into the background - it IS that good
Snapping on a Rolex feels good. Durable, robust, bullet-proof, mainstream popular, and recognizable. Generally… upper middle class in the US.
Patek Philippe is on the next level, on a different plane of existence. It’s when you go beyond being concerned about price, and focus on the beautiful aesthetics, intricate movements, complications, materials, and hand- finishing. Yes, after experiencing Patek Philippe, everything else tends to fade in terms of desirability.
Hi, I’m interested in both the 5226 and 5212. Hoping to try both on in NYC next week. How would you think about deciding between them?
I suppose I would just ask yourself which dial you prefer better. First, the color: Would a white dial or a charcoal dial fit better in your collection. Second, the dial styling and details: The 5212A has a classical dial design, but with a quirky font to the letters and numbers. The color is a soft silvery white. The 5226G mixes a field watch-type dial with touches of luxury, and a textured surface. It looks more modern to me. It can easily be mistaken for a Hamilton (see comments), so it gives me a sense of "private" Luxury enjoyment. The 5212A dial design is more unique (not many like this on the market). Third, decide if you really want the extra complications of the 5212A. Fourth, which material you prefer. Gold will wear heavier or more luxurious, while steel is lighter and more durable. Fifth, the case design of the 5226G is more detailed and sophisticated. Lastly, think about which strap options pair up more aesthetically with each watch.
Tough choice. These are my two favorite watches. Today I am wearing the 5226G.
@@sc1 Thanks so much! All good points, I’m sure trying them on will help as well. Is there any store in particular you’d recommend in NYC for Patek?
This particular model... Just asking... If the dial didn't say Patek Philippe would it still be as "nice" for you?
No. But then it wouldn’t be a Patek, and it wouldn’t come with the rest of the Patek Philippe package: hand-assembled and hand-polished movement, white gold case with hand applied hobnail, AD experience, Patek Seal and level of service, etc. Modest styling that does not attract attention.
it’s not just the dial.
Is this the one with the cheap movement?
This one’s not for me but patek really are a level of their own. I wish i could get the ones i want!
I’ve been wanting this one for over a year.
So whats next?
I’m going to enjoy wearing this one!!
@@sc1 I've been considering starting a relationship with Patek Philippe myself. My ultimate dream watches are the 5212A and a 5726 with a blue dial. Given your recent acquisitions, do you think you're now in a good position to be considered for a Nautilus, or has that not come up yet?
@@LevaMedical I would visit your closest location and start a conversation and just see how things look. Every authorized dealer is different.
Not my taste. Love the other 3 Patek‘s you have. This one reminds of the IWC or Zenith‘s pilot‘s watches.
I love the fact that this one has been going very unnoticed at work.
I guess these have to be purchased in order to get the good ones?
Depends on your own opinion. To me, these are the good ones. The ones I specifically requested. To each, his own.
Looks more like a Field watch, personally i would have got a iwc mark xx and saved lots of money and had a better looking watch
PP makes a wide variety of styles. I’m fine with the price. Patek detailing and finishing are exceptional.
I think it looks gorgeous but it looks too large. Shave a few mm off of it and give it some meaningful WR and it could be a great everyday PP.
Congratulations though it is gorgeous as I say.
This standard strap is too large for me, so I have not had it sized correctly yet. The smaller strap is on order. But yes, 38mm would look better (on me). But this watch is too beautiful to complain.
I think the case is too big. What is with brands coming up with huge case size. Like the new Sub at 41 mm is a failure. Patek dress watches should not be more 34 mm case size because the dial dominates the watch.
I love your collection, but I have to say this new piece just screams Hamilton to me. If it had a logo I wouldn’t blink. I suppose I’m just not a huge fan of this particular design, but each collection is very personal so I hope you enjoy them all in good health!
I enjoy it. I definitely don’t mind that it may look like an affordable casual watch from a distance. It’s a positive for me. It doesn’t attract any unwanted attention, and I can personally enjoy the textured dial up close, the hobnail case pattern on the sides of the case, and the decorated movement through the case back.
@@sc1 excellent point 👍🏼
looks like a timex to me lol
Very good. Most people will never notice it.
@@sc1 oh id beg to differ
looks like my hamilton khaki murph
This watch is only meant to be seen in person. It is striking and captivating. The dial is outstanding, reminds of a Leica a bit😂😂😂 seeing is believing as they say. Tried it on my wrist too last week
No doubt. This dial looks like one-of-a-kind, in person. Especially the way the light sparkles off the dial.
Is it me or does it look like a seiko alpinist?😂
Hopefully it does. I would rather people think it was a Seiko or Hamilton or Timex, so I can enjoy the details on this beauty privately on my wrist, and not attract attention.
The average age for a person to buy a new Patek from a store is over 50. Patek is trying, in my opinion, trying to change this.
Very possible. But they may also want to offer some fresh designs to their existing clients.
2:17 Negroni?
Mezcal Negroni
Godtier
I leveled up with this one.
How much you paid for this if you don't mind telling?
Retail. Prices are listed on the website. Patek.com
@@sc1 my question was did you got any discount on the retail price of this watch , bcoz of your relation with the ad ?
No discount
Показал кафе,улицу,вместо часов🤦♂️
hopefully the robbers dont know the brand so well, wearing am expensive watch in a major city is risky these days
That is the beauty of this watch. It is luxury, but it doesn't stand out or attract attention. It looks like a regular watch from a distance, but I can appreciate all the details up close.
It's risky if you're a coward. You sound like a coward.
味わいのある文字盤。素敵な時計ですね。😍
🙏🏽🙏🏽
Looks like a Tissot. Why bother?
If it looks like a Tissot, don’t bother.
Dude😂😂😂😂 see it to believe it
Out of focus, check your camera.
It's a total mystery how such a reputable brand was able to come up with such an ugly dial design. That "Textured charcoal gray" looks cheap, ordinary, almost vulgar. Should it evoke the tarmac? Street life in contrast to luxury? The numerals are too big. The date window should be either dropped completely or put at 6, but in any case it should be framed. WR of 30m is a bad joke. Positives: the case, and the movement. 5226G's inspiration, the ref. 565 “Night Watchman” is much nicer.
As I’ve said, until you have seen the dial in-person, I would reserve final judgement, because the pictures do not do justice. Ok with the numerals, thats a personal preference, but I think it looks balanced, and it’s not meant to be a diver watch, 98 feet of WR is plenty when I would only go swimming less than 6 feet. Yes, the case design is a big positive and under-appreciated until you look closely.
I tried this watch on last week - this one and the dual time. The dial is anthracite and quite stunning. This watch is truly desirable - I want it too now😂😂.
you are so rich
not really
