3:53 people were absolutely Batmanning it around the board with climbing ropes.
People are... gonna people I guess.
32:41 the centre line just became an Arena door 😂
I mean it's solved now so we never need to talk about it again.
Thanks for breaking these down.
The climbing gear change is intended to stop people from using them to pretend to be the Grot.
I thought so, kinda silly really.
I thought I understood the faqs but now I’m hopelessly confused. 😉
Hurrah, I made it worse!
Another thing - I do think they’ve hired a technical writer on staff at GW. The rules that have been coming out since midway through season 2 have been tighter & clearer.
I think they’re trying to bring the current edition closer to next edition so there’ll be less of a shock to the player base (probably to soften the blow when the current teams go down a peg in power level).
Agree agree agree.
15:09 Americans do not follow the way of Ace 🙏
Indeed not.
An FAQ on the day of the PKT May event? What’s next, a balance dataslate the same day as a WW tournament?
It could happen, I am not convinced the WW Event staff have any inside information sometimes.
2:52 it’s Shatterpoint climb as I read it.
Seems that way
I feel these are such a message way to handle the FAQ of teams too.
9:09 it’s a buff as I see it as I would have said you can’t jump walls and now you can.
Fair, fair. It all depends on how you would have played it before.
25:05 I’d have been ok with my opponent nominating a point on a wall 🤷♂️
Really? Seems obvious to me that it's supposed to be somewhere a model could stand.
@@TabletopImpulse It’s never come up, but the logic of throwing a grenade against a wall (or sticking a bomb to a wall) is good for me so if the rules didn’t preclude it I wouldn’t see it as gamey
I wonder if they are going to change Phobos’ climbing gear also 🤔
They totally did! I just missed it! No other changes for Phobos.
Sadly the community page says the coin and free mini are not coming till the 8th of June.
I am really hoping that we are getting a new edition of KT this year. I can say that for someone trying to get into kill team, looking into what I need to buy to really get up to speed at this point (I know its all online but its the principle and I prefer to have the things in hand) core rules, compendium (niche and optional), annual 2022, annual 2023 and then any rules of this season. A refresh and a new one stop starting book would help.
You are right about the mini not being available until the 8th, but the coin is apparently available on the 1st, ie tomorrow.
In terms of getting into Kill Team, You only really need the Core rules and whichever book has the rules in for your team of choice, but some of those can be harder to find now. A new edition is always good for bringing new people into the game!
@@TabletopImpulse With just those books surely I would be missing the extra rules for playing into the dark or on Beta Decima?
@@MDRLOz So the rules for Killzone: Bheta-decima are actually free online in the Kill Team downloads section (as well as the rules for the intercessor team, the scout team and the blades of Khaine team) . If you wanted to play on Into the Dark you would need one of the books from season two, yes.
Surprised they haven't got rid of the symbols. That triangle square mess is why, despite having bought enough kill team to field 60 krieg, I've never bothered to play.
Really? The Shapes bother you that much? I quite like them, but I agree they should get rid of them now because they keep having to write things like square + circle. And that is dumb.
Not using tape measures stops board gamers and role players who might be interested in a small scale skirmish game in a well loved universe instantly bouncing off. While I think the current iteration is showing its weaknesses my preference would be to replace them with Legion/Shatterpoint style templates and go to measuring movement front-to-back.
If you watch can you roll a crits video on this very subject (climbing) he goes over why they changed it. He calls it moon walking it makes sense kinda like people were using it like a fly in a way
Not caught up with Crit yet, but its on my list of things to watch!
@TabletopImpulse no problem. You glazshalfdead and canyourollacrit are my main go to kill team channels. At work your known as the British fish to us lmao
Do you no have a pdf reader that can check two documents to find any differences?
I do not! Can one easily get such a thing?
You would be surprised how many times scenarios that are made up in people’s heads end up giving TOs a migraine round three of a tournament.
Well, perhaps but in the case of the two dirgemaws targeting each other I think your players must be trying to wind you up.
@@TabletopImpulse we only have one Mandrake player on the local scene, so that particular one hasn’t come up yet. When I was TOing X-Wing & Armada events there were some right doozies around cloak tokens and Palps though.
