The only video that actually shows someone consulting the instructions and going into the details of how to use the thing and what all the buttons do. Cheers!
That unit has been around for a decade. It was put on the market when new vehicles stopped coming with a spare tire, unless the customer wanted to pay extra. It has one container of crusher clam shells. It works fairly well.
Thanks for the video! I noticed the dial position is different when the pump is working compared to when the pump is stopped. Which one would be the correct reading?
Does the tire need to be positioned in such a manner that the leak is facing the asphalt to allow gravity to rest the foam toward the ground, or will the foam blow into the entire wheel housing?
Heads up. Got a nail in my MY tire. Was on the shoulder. Sealant didn’t work. On Reddit, others report there’s a defect. Two connectors on the sealant didn’t work. We had to use gum and saliva to make it work. Will call Tesla tomorrow to replace.
Note: Using the foam repair kit would also render the TPMS useless so make sure the tire and sensor are both replaced together once at the tire shop. The original sensors costs around 100-150 each.
I have a 1995 ford mustang alongside our 2023 tesla model y. The "12v outlets" are actually cigarette lighters. So we can't exactly use this on the mustang
Guys, there’s FOAMS in your Michelin Sports tyres. The best way to ruin your expensive tyres is to pump that white goo into your tyre, very effective. Just imagine for a sec what the entire piece of form will do all round your tyre. Enough said!
Very poor audio. When unboxing the cardboard was louder than your voice. So was the kids that were in the background across the street. Had to turn the volume up all the way just to hear you. And then when you turned on the compressor I almost had a heart attack lol💥👂
Do not purchase this item from TESLA, as it may damage your tire and cost you $700+ for new tire and sensors; as the liquid from the repair kit, damages the sensors and tire

😮
Which is exactly what I did because it took longer to watch the video than it did to read the instructions.
Too cool of you to give away your previous kit to some folks in need.
Great how to video. Thank you!
Thanks for the video it was really helpful.. better than manuals
Saved my life. Thanks
Excellent!! Thank you. This was a good video to familiarize oneself with using the tire repair kit. Thank you.

Thanks from Australia!
Mine won't even power up am I doing something wrong, do I have to activate the 12 volt connections
i just received 2 kits one for the wifes. very nice explantion on operation .
Thanks. I've had my share of low tire pressure notifications and treasure-hunting for locations to put air in my tires. That's no longer my narrative!
They couldn’t put a digital display?

Entire wheel. My advice is to use this if you are stranded on the road, otherwise, it is better to have a puncture repair kit.

an expensive car without a spare tire. good job tesla 😅
Can you use this as a regular compressor without using the sealant?
Yes
Great video……very helpful.
Hi, we got one for our Tesla, but the power button broke, what can we do about it? thanks 👍
Advertise it at Tesla they might replace it with new one.
Note: Using the foam repair kit would also render the TPMS useless so make sure the tire and sensor are both replaced together once at the tire shop. The original sensors costs around 100-150 each.
These kits are sensor friendly. Can be washed off.
Where do you plug it in, you skipped the only part I was waiting for
Inside front arm rest there is 12V socket in Model 3. In model Y you also have a second one in cargo area.
Does it work with a completely flat tire?😊
I have a 1995 ford mustang alongside our 2023 tesla model y. The "12v outlets" are actually cigarette lighters. So we can't exactly use this on the mustang
Well yes, most cars before 2000 probably don't have power just a heater to lighten up cigarettes.
Thank you 👍🏽
Awesome video, so is the goal is to be used once on a flat tire, correct?
Yes
Very helpful. Thanks 👍😎
You deleted the part about screwing on the hose to the valve. That’s why I am searching UA-cam to see it done.
Really useful
If you patch the tire with the foam is the tire as good as new or do you need to still replace it?
You need to replace it. Use this only if you’re stranded in the middle of nowhere!
clear explanation. Thank you..
thankyou
But will it work with foam lined acoustic tyres
Slime sealant says not to use with acoustic tyres. Michelin emery repair can doesn’t say nor does Michelin know
It worked on model Y I helped patch.

Is the sealant canister only good for one-time use?
I think so.
Make sure ur sealant terminals are in tact. ua-cam.com/video/fC7ebPniLv0/v-deo.html
You didn’t use the sealant. I can get the air going, but not the sealant.
You use the top hose for sealant and need to switch top switch to left.
@@JRCarReviews yeah, when I did that, nothing happened…🫤
@@hikintrailsndrinkinalesGet a spare tyre! The real deal.
@@hikintrailsndrinkinales When you do use the sealant, you won't be able to repair the tire. You will need a new tire.
@@ellenlee1yeah, but it could save you a ton of money, and hassle from a roadside repair.
Bro going 234 lol

I couldn't hear him either because of the cardboard noise. So did the tire inflator come with the car or not?
@@mattjensen8644 Tesla branded tire inflators don't come with the cars. Last time I checked the kit is $70. on Tesla's web store.
What about repairing?!
Repairing a tire is always a better option. This was just a demo.
Their air compressor is drastically different now, so this video doesn't help anymore :/

Yes, this is the downside. I would use it only if stranded in the middle of nowhere or at night.
Too many commercials
