- This Is A Fun Showcase i made only just for Kiryu. Let's just called it a Tribute to his final game. I guess this is the last time we saw this old man, cause the ending of this game is just... (you know, you know.) He suffered enough. Dude is old and gray now and taking a break is appreciated.
The Difference Between "Not Awaken" and "Awakened" meaning there's an Enhances Basic Combat in Close-Range, usually one of though Soul, Tech and Body. You gonna farm for it, probably around LVL6 or 7, etc...
I also forgot to mention Komaki Knockback for (Brawler Style) is like if you do perfect guard, it'll use komaki knockback, you get the image.
And Dragon Resurgence can also perform a stomp attack on downed enemies. (Thanks ChozotheBozo for mentioned it)
Also, I hope don't miss out anything left of him, cause this is all i've got for the past 5 days.

It would have been something like:
- Agent (Green)
- Rush (Yellow)
- Yakuza (Blue)
- Legend (Red, only for Dragon Resurgence)
Reason I do not have the OG Brawler and Beast, blame Kaito for that.

They are technically not wrong since dragon in this game is kinda like a mix of dragon and brawler animations and I guess they made rush red for simplicity sake
@@galacticcorgi1258 Ever since Yakuza 6, the Oryu style makes use of a modified Dragon stationary stance, but with Brawler's locked-on moving stance.
The missing heat action is the one where Kiryu trip over the first enemy and stomp on his head then counter the second enemy attack by lifting him over the shoulder and bring his head down on the knee
For anyone curious, this Heat Action can only be done on targets afflicted with *Stun.*
Thanks for included the missing heat action, even though I did stun them but after that I'm straight up clueless and gave up. I hate how they never add a proper demonstration video tutorial about Heat Actions in the Help Menu.

@@NinjaWarotMCph Ofcourse it was obvious.. kiryu cant stomp an enemies head if its moving or rolling in the ground or kiryu cant lift enemy if its moving or evading his moves..
I really hope that they’ll go in a similar direction with a style system for each character going forward - scrolling through menus really kills the pace of the fight and it’s really annoying when the enemy walks out of a disadvantageous position in the time it took you to find the right skill to capitalize on it. Kiryu’s styles solve both issues, and there’s also the way each style behaved on the defensive which added a whole another layer to the strategizing. It’d honestly be pretty crazy if they didn’t reuse this system in the future because it’s so fun.

The reason Kiryu is so good is because his basic attacks are skills.
Other than that, I'm actually surprised to see Ichiban's Freelancer class is not that far away in terms of numbers.
Ichiban's freelancer falls off lategame because you cannot equip him with 200+ attack power weapons.
though his basic attack damage falls off hard if he doesn't get the proximity bonus

While the "Awakened" variant is cool, I think it would be better if they shifted the non-awakened version to far range attack.
I just like those classic attack too
it's suck that once you unlocked all the awakened skills, the old one just completely gone forever.

I knew it, Yakuza 6 kiryu style was straight up a evolution of brawler all along. The original name for Brawler style in japanese was Chimpira which is a title for low rank thugs, then you have the Yakuza 6 style that for me the proper name would Gokudo which is a true name for a true japanese criminal.
Gaiden names that style "Yakuza" so I guess you're actually right
Well in japanese they call Y6 K2 style Oryu (dragon tattoo on Kiryu back) in Gaiden
@@mcredthread1101 True but the Y6 style has solidified itself as the substitute for the Brawler style, which makes sense as a evolution for Brawler since Kiryu's fighting style is too refined nowdays for he ever fight like he did back in the 80's, hit hard then hit harder again strategy.
Side note, if a Kiryu game would be made with all of his 6 styles, we should just go for the CMY + RGB color scheme:
- Cyan for Brawler
- Magenta for Rush
- Yellow for Beast
- Red for Legend
- Green for Agent
- Blue for Oryu
My personal take is that because Kiryu is Azure his style should be too. But that being said Red, Silverish White and Azure Blue fit him perfectly. I really love all the Colors they have used for Kiryu.
@@gianncmedina7805 Fair enough. Then again, I give Oryu that Azure color you are looking for (technically it is Royal Azure). As for white (for me, I give him Lavender Mist), I say that it could be a complementary color to Kiryu's aura when not in Extreme Heat. For Extreme Heat, that would be mauve.

@@gianncmedina7805 Aizawa's is pink with gold accents. Kiryu is whatever the style's color is (like red for OGDOD) with lavender mist accents when in non Ex Heat or with mauve accents when in Ex Heat.
I wish they did so the dragon resurgence differs based on the style you're using.

Imagine if dragon resurgence broke ichiball’s schizophrenia all together and you have to do some kind of combo with Ichi to put it back to RPG
Not like it’d change much, the only time the enemies fight back is during a specific boss fight
There's also the Ultimate Dragon Heat Action, can be perormed while being in low health
There are a lot more heat actions than i thought. The stun ones seem to be variantions af the same heat action but i dont know the exact specifics for all. I think brawler's heat actions could warrent its own showcase.
So far, ive seen Essence of:
Pole Crush (big pole, but not most poles?)
Stand Crush (knee high surface, front / back)
All these for stunned enemy:
Might (front / back)
Tiger Crash
Dynamic Throw
Head Bashing
Flattening Throw ( front / not sure about back )
Flashing red HP:
Ultimate Essence
Objects on the ground ( i dont have it, i assume its similar to Roadside Weapon )
All the Dragon's Resurgence ones ( I wish the normal heat actions could be used )
There seems to be a lot but I don't have everything unlocked for brawler. Feel free to comment any other hacts
Damn, I never thought there's more heat actions for Brawler Style. Usually they never mentioned it at all in the game even the help menu didn't help much.

@@ColorSettings yeah they seem a bit awkward to perform too. I think all brawler heat actions also require the proximity bonus. For The stun heat actions, I'm not sure how the game decides essence of bashing or tiger crash, but there may be some special condition. The game detects and acts on back attack heat actions and grounded goes in flattening's case, so maybe there's something we don't know, or could be health related. Maybe there's a change if Kiryu's HP is full

sorry if this is repetitive but, in beast the awakened versions makes it so grabbing weapons mid fight has a way larger range and damage, even shows a visual queue

Man I can't believe that at the end of like a dragon giden Kiryu gets Cancer and when he revealed that in this game it was genuinely sad but then that sad immerging gets erased because of the fact that you can have Kiryu fight in any battle and the whole cancer plot doesn't really go anywhere unless it's in a main mission cutscene

Ive been looking all over about how to change stances, they mentioned it in the beginning and since then I spent a long time at dondoko island and I dont remember them

Kiryu now has 3 different styles called "brawler" that have completely different movesets, idk how much more of this I can take...
what did you do to max out kiryu’s awakening? i haven’t found that any of the methods im trying are particularly good at it
There's this methods, just do a Drink Talk to your Party Members and Collect All Kiryu Memoirs at Chapter 8 to unlock all the Life Links. I think it's probably the fastest way to Level Up.
Now, don't hate me if i said this but i used Level Booster on my second playthrough with NG+ and with a lot of help from Cheat Engine. Cause like if you playing your first Normal New Game. Farming Kiryu Bucket List to level up his Awakening is slow like snail. From the start to finish you only reached maybe Level 6 or 7. On my second playthrough i kinda gave up and don't want to farm it anymore so i straight up using Level Booster and Cheat Engine to Max Awakening lol.
Oh and btw your Awakening Level is also carrying over to NG+ like if you're level 5 on Regular NG, your NG+ still stay at level 5 and you can start doing the farming again like Drink Talk, Memoirs and Life Links.
Can you do a version of this for Ichiban too? i'm dying to know about the skill he can learn from Asakura

Ironically the official name for beast style in LAD:IW is Sledgehammer. Also I'm disappointed for the lack of tiger drops in this game alonhside its power

bro kiryu doesn't belong in a turn based game, he has too many cool move to be retrained to 1 move every 4 turns lmao imagine going from style switching on the fly beating up 15 goons with barrels and bikes, to this.... they made kiryu crap in his own game giving him 2 style including that crappy agent style, but give him ALL his moves in a turn based game .

@@tutor5391Funnily enough, Kiryu's styles coincide with the colors of the 3 reminiscences. Blue for Mine, Yellow for Ryuji, and Red for Nishiki. I believe that both Kiryu and Nishiki should have red aura as their main aura colors, the only difference being that Kiryu's is the saturated red from Kiwami, while Nishiki's is the pale red from the original.
@@shadowtoad95 No, it's not. Blue has always been the aura color for Kiryu. Red in Kiwami was nothing more than a continuity error. Kiryu only started developed red aura in Y3.

@@zeroskaterz92 I am pretty sure that a variant of Kiryu also has a red aura before 3. I think Kenzan has him with a red aura when wearing the War God's Tailsman. Also, the reason I give Kiryu red is mainly because almost every protagonist has a blue aura. It can get kinda boring, at least in my opinion. Plus, in 4 with four protagonists, only Kiryu has a red aura. But if you want Kiryu to have a blue aura, that is fine.

Not sure if the devs notice what we notice. By that, I mean noticing the Brawler and Dragon of Dojima.
What if Kiryu's main style in most games is actually Brawler, and he actually starts fighting like a Dragon when in extreme heat mode, or in this case "Dragon's Resurgence"?
I mean, it does make sense, why have two balanced styles with one being the clear better? Kiryu also has Rush and Beast, but not an augmented style for those. We got Dragon for Brawler, but no Leviathan and Flash for the others?
It basically is because Dragon style is an evolved version of brawler style

Honestly, I would prefer it if it were to be done as follows:
- Agent (Green)
- Rush (Yellow)
- Yakuza (Blue)
- Legend (Red, style for Dragon Resurgence)
If any wanna give different colors for each character, you can give Kiryu some red hues for the first 3 styles. Yeah, I know, it is probably based on my pfp, just sayin'.

@@snesmochaGood point. I did not realize we need a grapple style, thanks for reminding me. If that is the case, then we will replace Agent for Beast [since Agent is a Daidōji thing only anyway]. Beast will be yellow, while Rush will be green, just like a mod that I have seen in Lost Judgment. Although, I think Agent should have been a separate job.

How to unlock the heat attacks for the Jobs?
Just do all Kiryu Bucket List and Drink Link in the Bar, usually you can unlock heat action for brawler at Level 2

what!!!???this is all wrong and they ruined rush mode he doesn't even have the proper bob and weave boxing stance for rush mode and red??? why do that, why not just keep what was already good why swap all the colors around IN FACT!!! kiryu doesn't belong in a turn based game, his moveset is too fun for that
