Ok I'm saying this now, NO I don't hate any of these styles I actually like all of them I ranked them based on my personal taste and enjoyment of my first playthrough
Then again some of these rankings are just shitposts but like I said take these rankings with a grain of salt
I agree with the tanimura placement he's pretty fun to use after a while of using him and getting used to what he does lol
@@mergedkekw2160 I meant this for rush and mad dog unless we're talking K2 mad dog that version is actually ass
@smokeybeef3247 yeah it's ass compared to 0 it didn't translate well to dragon engine 💀

love how RGG implemented a grappler archetype not by forcing the players to depend on the grab button all the time, but rather give the grappler an ability to smoothly transition combos into heat actions.
If you're referring to Tanimura I agree, he's awesome
I take it you're not the biggest fan of shinada
the setup potential with Shinada is really nutty all of his grab and tackle setups, even his heat actions, he's the character / fighting style that has the most heat actions in any game that don't just leave the enemy on the floor (end of combo in general)
I thought it was extremely ironic that the grapplers don't really even use the button to... You know... Grapple.
@@fakename503 now that you mention it you kinda right
Should've included Haruka's dancing as the true number 1
No Ichiban in like a dragon
@@classifiedinformation960 How are you gonna put ichiban in this when yakuza like a dragon’s playstyle is completely different. In Yakuza like a dragon it’s a turn based rpg, in all the previous games it’s a beat ‘em up

Slugger is useful against bosses BECAUSE of the nunchuks
You can stunlock most bosses and cheese them
Yeah that combo is straight up broken, infinite stuns for days, and you also have hyperarmour so in the unlikely case the boss somehow isn't staggered, you just shrug it off and stun them again.
thats what i was about to say ngl, slugger is literally the cheese style against bosses
it was my only way to beat jo amon
@@rhagos5562 I remember exclusively using thug and mad dog(for counters) to beat Jo

@smokeybeef3247 Truly said "lets morb" and morbed everywhere.
LMFAOOO
i see myself agreeing then he says some fuck shit like yeah mad dog is bottom and dragon of dojima kiwami is 2nd that makes sense then ranks rush below beast somehow
@@fallaciousUnion cause with rush they took akiyamas Goated fightstyle and made it 100x worse
Slugger was actually my go-to boss killer style. Not too slow, has some armor on attacks, blocks from all sides (and against weapons, which came clutch against Lao Gui), and that's on top of the reliable damage output, easy heat actions, and easier time breaking guards.
Yeah absolutely agree with this to be fair though I'm also a filthy rush user
I admit, I'm only halfway through the game, but I have yet to meet any encounter that couldn't be solved by swapping to Breaker and turning into a fuck-mothering Beyblade.
@@CoralCopperHead Breaker is THE crowd control style, no doubt about it. Still, though I admittedly never tried it, I don't think trying to set up those windmills against bosses (who dodge, block, occasionally interrupt combos outright, and are generally more agressive than thugs) is very practical, not to mention that the Breaker quickstep is kinda wack.
That's when Slugger comes in, with its practical combos with wide hitboxes and improved guard. I'm pretty sure Thug theoretically has the highest single target damage, but Slugger is just so much more reliable.
@@creativename1673 the breaker styles evade and put on the ground ability is very good for any fight
this is the most divisive and controversial tier list i have ever seen and i am absolutely here for it
I personally feel like you shoulda split up Kiryu's styles between 0 and 1 aside from DoD. Because Rush is SO much better in Kiwami, since they removed the speed = heat shit, and it ended up probably being my favorite style in that game, even though I hated Rush in 0. Plus, Beast is definitely a lot worse in Kiwami. Brawler would have been the same tho ig.
Looking back I probably should have I'll keep that in mind for next time thank you
@@Smokin-that-beef-pack yeah that would’ve made this tier list make a lot more sense. I was incredibly confused by rush’s placement when considering kiwami.
DoD from 0 and from Kiwami should probably be split too, Kiwami has Komaki parry, Tiger Drop and the other Komaki techniques, also its double finishers use heat. Finally, it doesn't have twist counter
@@ovensmuggler5207 But Dragon *was* split...
@@mouthwide0pen well then I'm stupid
Like you said, Tanimura feel really unique in the Yakuza roaster. But after playing Snake style in Lost Judgment, i cant help me but saying Snake is the superior version. I mean! A fighting style where you can win a fight without ever hitting a single goons, just dodging and scarying the shit out of them, until they give up on life! That's fking rad! I still like you can arrest people with Tanimura, and I find fking hilarious he shot in the air with a gun, just to piss off his enemy.
Yeah, but Yagami still doesn't have Tanimura's automatic heat actions (or taunt where he just pulls out *a fucking gun* )
i love snake too
It's good but it's faaar from superior
@@BasedPeter Actually, there is a slight problem with combo h.a. There was no ability to cancel them, like it was in 0,kiwami games and basically every version in and after Yakuza 5 engine. Also, something is wrong if one of the combo(2nd combo) is fucking useless. I meant Tanimura ofc
@@BasedPeter Counterpoint: EX boost. Literally yeet enemies with a single button press, and follow THAT up with a multi target heat action.
first time i played 4 i gave Tanimura the sacred tree set on a whim only to find out it makes him completely immune to his final boss god i felt so big brain
I did that and then my friend complained after I had no issue with the boss... I later redid the entire boss fight with NO armor and he still complained when I had no issue

One of Saejimas best heat actions imo is the one in yakuza 5 where he rolls people in a snowball and turns them into snowman. It's utterly ridiculous and I love it.
I can't tell if that's goofier or the revelation to get the heat action is
@@Smokin-that-beef-pack watching the revelations play out feels like a mix between a fever dream and having a flashbang go off in my face. They're so out of left field and weird, but I can't help but love them.
@@HSunflowers my favorites probably the one from 3 with the scooter guy cause when he screams he kinda sounds like Squidward
@@Smokin-that-beef-pack I think panty thief is probably my favorite revelation to watch solely for the music that plays as the guy falls 😂
Tanimura being number 1 is a good hot take. Combat wise personally he’s pretty- eh, but the man LITERALLY had heat action everywhere. Parry? Heat action, and then you can do a double heat action with it. The real reason why he doesn’t come back In other games is because how RGG is tired to animate all of his heat moves and more
The recycling company would make bank off of tanimura
I actually got used to the Kiwami 2 fighting and now feels natural. It did feel weird like you say though for a long time before really getting into its vibe. Now it feels easy and good but for a long time it felt awkward and difficult. It also helps when you level up a lot.
i struggled with it, then unlocked tiger drop lol
I just cant get used to narrowing 3 styles down to one style that focuses on multiple enemies after yakuza 0.Played judgment and kiwami 2 made me want to puke
Feels great but kiryu is way too damn strong fights are too easy. But the actual system in place is really fun. Probably the most fun to fight groups because of the physics and the way finishing grabs work. Never tire of tossing dudes around and watching all the chaos unfolding.
@@dck6381 the weapons system is much better though in Kiwami 2
@@hjblacdes61 I love the charge up wrestling style jump double kick. I find all the Yakuza games too easy, why I always play them on hard setting for something that feels like medium to me.
Tanimura is so fun ngl, and oh my god Infinite Handcuffs is such a sick track for him..
It’s as that one guy described *”It sounds like an orchestra that’s moments from falling apart.”*
I really miss playing as Saejima in the series
I want a buddycop majima and saejima game, if they decide to make gaiden a new series they might do it
imagine the ragdoll shenanigans in dragon/unreal engine
I'd love to see blade kill be used like how it was done in 7
@@loloshuagaiden is just about what kiryu was doing between 6 and 7
@@ranorky999 yes, I know, what I mean is that "gaiden" is not a subtitle, it's part of the name, the name is "like a dragon gaiden: the man who erased his name" and I wanna be hopeful that they make more gaiden games, smth like "like a dragon gaiden: the lifeline of kamurocho" for an akiyama game
Tanimura is such a hot take but I see it. I honestly feel like Akiyama was almost too good in 4 though, like having to measure Saejima and Tanimura right out of the box against Akiyama was unfair to both of them and I enjoyed them both much more in the final chapters when I went back and cleaned up their side quests.
Akiyama definitely felt like the best character to play without needing upgrades do to his excellent wall bounding
anything and anyone having to measure against Akiyama would be unfair, I mean let's be real here, if he existed in real life, humanity's population would be drastically reduced, every man and woman on earth would only want to sleep with one man and there's only so many children one man could make.
I didn't think Tanimura would be such a hot take, I personally always have had him at my #1 for fighting styles. The way he weaves heat actions into normal gameplay is fantastic. Most are able to evolve ensures that the impact of a heat action is never lost on the player while also providing one of the most different styles the series has ever seen.
Even looking beyond the gameplay, Tanimura is directly related to every good plot point of 4 (4 might be my GoAT, but the story sucks for the most part). If we want to talk about the music of 4, the final theme "For Faith" is HIS song, Tanimura is the main character of 4 that's why he has the final boss battle and why his fight is the only one against someone who is truly unredeemable. Saejima might have the best remix of it, but it is still Tanimura is who the theme is for.
Also I would add that Akiyama has the advantage of not only being the first character, but being immediately likable. Akiyama is introduced as a good guy who nobody has figured out as his actions are strange, Saejima is introduced as a murderer, and Tanimura is introduced as a corrupt cop.
Funnily enough, Slugger and Beast were my most used styles in my playthrough. Every single boss I did was either Beast and Brawler if I was Kiryu, or Slugger and Breaker.
When I accidentally went straight into the final battle with the four bois, I was able to clear Tanimura's final boss without ANY heals because Tanimura's combat was that good.
Based and parry pilled
Never understood the hate for that part, I liked it too... The qte's were baller and the music was banging. Man I miss Tanimura.
The problem for most people is getting shot at in the middle of the fight, but outside of that the fight was amazing. I get a chill down my spine when the beat drops during the opening
People who complained about that just forgot to do his training
@@kamemelia_ I was one of those people but I've changed
Breaker Majima is my absolute favorite from 0 and it literally makes some scripted fights absolutely obsolute and i'm all for it
I'm surprised rush isn't higher up, literally one of the most advantageous fighting styles in the series how you can just straight up not get hit and have three dodges
Very useful against bosses especially in 0 I feel
I'm gonna agree with you there, Rush was my go to.
I hated rush because I would get stuck in combos where halfway through the enemy blocks all my attacks then breaks out then locks me in his OWN combo until I'm flat on the floor mashing to get up for 5 seconds each time. The guard break kick would never work for me. Don't get me started on the heat action icon only showing for 0.000000000000000000000001 of a 0.00000000000000000000000000000000001 of a second. I stick with beast because I just love the raw power and defense. I just tank the damage and chug royales. Rush takes strategy and my neanderthal tank brain cant get into it.
Imo Rush (and Breaker by the same token) is kinda braindead, you could get by with it by just having a seizure on the controller, as long as you had heat. Without heat it is essentially useless like he said in the video.
I did all climax battles and also had a playthrough where I only used rush when it comes to one-on-one, and let me tell you, it is the most braindead style ever. You literally just hold charge kick and it FILLS your heat to the brim, and does CRAPTON of damage, not only that, but stunlocking is very VERY doable, you literally just mash square and weave, doesn't even matter if enemy blocks them, just keep mashing and eventually you will get enough hits to them, and they will get stunned and you charge kick again
@@literaryloser4470 One of the early abikities you get for rush lets you side step mid combo, it also completely resets your combo. When they retaliate, you can just cancel your combo to sidestep and keep going. Even better, the first skill unlocked from the mentor raises heat when you dodge, so doing this makes you gain heat infinitely.
Me watching as they bring back akiyama for yakuza 8 but its in the dragon engine so my leg gets caught in a car and i get flung across the city: 🥶
I'd pay just for a ragdoll simulator of that
@@Smokin-that-beef-pack THATS RIGHT DUDE HAVE YOU SEEN THE GMOD ADDON THEYRE MAKING THATS JUST THE ENTIRE YAKUZA 0 GAME HOLY SHIT
It's crazy man they ripped every asset and threw that shit in Gmod the source engine prolly crying rn
Akiyama is a fine man, and Kiryu thinks so too. He may not be the strongest, but Kiryu said he'd rather have Akiyama with him than any 10 other guys
and Shinada's section of the game was both the thematically-tightest and the most surprising in series history
NEVER LET THIS GUY TOUCH THE STOVE AGAIN 🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣💥💥💥
TRAP SO OLD GOTTA RUN OUT THE HOUSE WHEN I PLAY MY MUSIC SO THE ROOF DON'T FALL ON ME💯💯🗣️💯💯🗣️💯🗣️💯🗿
BRO RUSH IN Y0 IS OP YOU CAN IN INFINITELY COMBO BY PRESSING NORMAL ATTACK 3 TIMES AND THEN WEAVING AWAY TO THEIR BACK AND DO THE SAME ,It is a very good combo starter especially for bosses.
Some styles were just meant to be switched to for heat actions or heat building, fun list though and pretty much agree. I had a blast with Mad Dog in one particular story scenario that probably bumps it up a bit for me and certain items made it feel a lot stronger.
So happy to see Tanimura finally get the respect he deserves
Finished Yakuza 4 two weeks ago and he's just so fun! I kinda understand now why he wasn't allowed on the coliseum lol
31:59 This is why I thought Munakata was a pretty easy boss (but then again, I also had him wear the Sacred Tree Armor)
I did the same thing for the Amon fight and I'm glad I did because some bullshit always happens with Amon
I was lucky enough to equip that to Tanimura for the Amon fight. Forgot about it and left it on for the final boss, never understood the hate until I realized lol
That boss was pure torture, I felt my fingers were falling off.
I think I have a similar relationship to shinada as you do to tanimura, when I first went through the game I didn’t know how to feel about him, but through another playthrough he just kinda clicked for me because using that tech from 3 where you get behind your enemies with him is so satisfying and he easily has the best heat actions in the series, not even including weapons. They definitely went for a really different style of play, but I think it worked out for the best
Currently playing Y5 and I kinda hate him in the coliseum. But with some weapons he destroys mobs
This may be my favorite yakuza video so far and I heavily agree with kiryu’s style in 3 the biggest problem is the damage bro does little to no damage
You just don't have the Komaki technique man, after you unlock the Komaki Parry it's a game changer
@@azuresapphire220 I remember watching a video talking about how the komaki moves are a necessity rather than a addition and I agree to an extent I remember using the parry much more then the tiger drop
@@azuresapphire220 I played through the entire game without using it once because I was pressing the wrong key when I wanted to do the move and realized it when playing yakuza 4
Still loved the game tho
It also just doesn’t help that everybody can block without their block ever braking for days and grabs being punished most of the time.
@@AwesumVloggin True almost all the bosses can't be grabbed and it's annoying, the leg grab is literally useless against them lmao
In yakuza 0 majimas mad dog style is actually good the reason it doesn't hurt alot is due to the fact that your fast and you can break all guards if the enemies were not holding weapons
You also have to account for the fact that you can equip different knives, equip a powerful knife and you'll see the ridiculous damage you do.
@@mat8791 yeagh that's also true
Also upgrade the style lol
"So, the reason I rank this is because aaaaah. I mean, the thing is eeeeergh. It just hmmmmmmm. So yeah, this style is like eeeeehmmm..."
"Oh, btw, no dancing. Now, for style number 6. Breakdancing"
Such clarity, conciseness and exhaustively researched and argumenting reasoning. You can see he´s clearly a professional at work.
I mean I wouldn't consider this work yet but maybe some day
Yeah this list is a product of a skill issue 😭😭😭
Rush is very momentum based, but two particular upgrades make it far better, and both are acciessible fairly early: the ability to dodge mid-rush combo, and the ability that lets you gain heat by dodging any attack (which the game is actually very forgiving with- even if an attack would miss Kiryu anyways, you still gain heat). You don't stun lock bosses, but you literally don't have to since you can interrupt any attack with a side step. Get close, begin punching, side-step after a couple punches and immediately resume punching. Heat remains at max, and you can attack basically infinitely since every side-step resets the combo. Also if you get behind a boss you definitely can stunlock them- rip Kuze.
Rush literally has 2 "lmao Imma just not take any damage" buttons
mad dog style being last place is fuckin criminal
Maturity is realizing just how good of a char Tanimura was. Best fighting style easily.
I truly did sleep on him my first playthrough
Yeah, Tani is the sickest playable style for me too
Def underrated
@@Smokin-that-beef-pack I hope he’d come back for LAD 8!
Slugger has that really long bat nunchuck combo that stunlocks bosses until it's done, it's pretty fun
Mad Dog style with the War God charm is actually monstrous. Aside from some enemies with armor you can do an endless chain of the dash attacks that will end fights fairly quickly.
So glad to see another person loving Tanimura’s style, and I totally agree that using him is the most fun. For me the basically constant heat actions after rush combos makes him feel amazing, not to mention the parries. Made that supposedly “hard” and “annoying” final boss fight that everyone apparently hated actually really fun for me
Tanimura is probably the only character that makes me want to go back to an old Yakuza game to play him
Nice to see my boy Tanimura getting so love. Loved everything from his character archetype to his combat since i started 4
yakuza 5 kiryu made me feel the most excited probably because I shared the emotions with kiryu I think
Breaker went 5 tiers up for me when I discovered that the freeze poses are really good counters tbh
I've genuinely never landed one and can't to this day
@@Smokin-that-beef-pack I can understand why tbh, although the window is pretty big, unless you anger the enemy or wear the charismatic accesories they're kinda useless outside of bossfights
tanimura is the greatest yakuza character to play as, yet not many people give him the credit he deserves.
not "yakuza" but if i'm being serious #1 would 100% be LJ Yagami. The man just has too much tech it's absurd. It's too good to not mention.. either way i like rush from y0 lmao
Once I beat the judgment series I'll be making a separate video on those styles
I'll be honest the theme for Y0 Dragon style goes hard and I love it.
Rush + Quick Change clothes = mmmph, Shakedown on Kiryu never felt so easy.
Build heat dodging, do the counter, get some attacks in, swap to Beast and dislocate some arms, good times
Call me crazy but I kinda love YK2’s Kiryu style, it’s got weight to it and once you get used to that oddity it’s a good chunky combo dispenser. Sure the heat system leaves a bit to be desired but extreme heat mode makes it all worth while. Then again, maybe it’s just cause leveling is ridiculously easy in YK2
After Ishin I secretly hope for Kiwami3-5 on UE4, I can see they are trying to replicate Like a dragon from that era again(Akiyama in Ishin has exactly same move from 4-5)
Tanimura is definitely super unique experience out of everyone because for 3 months I have been binge Yakuza 0-6 in one go and nothing like him ever
I hope they can find a way to reintroduce Tanimura back into the series since old actors definitely won't be back

As you got closer to the number 1 spot I was thinking "oh shit Tanimura's really high, someone else appreciates his gameplay!" AND THEN TANIMURA WAS NUMBER 1 GOATED LIST 🔥
I was surprised at how many people agree with me on that I thought I'd get crucified in all honesty
@@Smokin-that-beef-pack Any character that have good parry counter is just goat in Ryu ga gotoku main and spinoff series.
Tanimura and Yagami(LJ ver.) are two of the prime example.
Akiyama and Tanimura in the top 3? Hell, based. Absolutely based.
Man i love you for putting tanimura in the 1st spot too hes my favorite character and his style is just amazing and he got the best final boss in the series for me
Thug's continuous square combo you get when it's leveled up should be enough to tell people it's the best Majima style
15:01 missed the opportunity to put a "auuuugh"
Damnit you are so right I can't believe I missed that
Let’s go my boy TANIMURA! He’s so fun man. The moment that song started i was already hyped 👏
Honestly, Majima's legend style is really good when you learn some of the tech it can do (although to be fair I only figured out how to do it properly on the second playthrough and the style is unlocked halfway through the story anyway)
i feel its very unfair to put each of the fighting styles from 0 and kiwami as their own separate section because youre meant to switch between them for different mechanics and not only use one of them. along with many peoples problems with the heat speed mechanic other styles generate it more than others so if you want gear 3 rush you just swap to a style like dod and 2 block counters gets you the heat, or just beast with a weapon
If you do that 0 fighting is top no contest
If i had to be honest with majima's slugger style I mostly see it as a good defensive option when I had to go up against ppl with blades or guns since you automatically get a bat that literally never runs out of durability
your number 1 spot was actually my favorite character to play in all of the yakuza series. Yakuza 4 was my first yakuza knowing literally nothing of the series beforehand and it made me fall in love with the series. Ive even gone back and played the original games and then they got remakes which made me happy to experience them again.
Loved the video! I just finished the kiryu portion of 5 and I agree with much on this list.
I agree with this list except for Slugger. I abused that nunchuk combo move against bosses because there is literally nothing they can do against it
You know I really like beast style in yakuza 0, it was very good in attacking groups of enemies and defense.
Also, Saejima is much better in yakuza 5 than 4 since he can rip stuff off the ground and some heat actions are more easier to do than yakuza 4
i finished your video whilst dehydrated and in a tired haze and i regret nothing
I read the comment where you haven't played it
Agent style is rush + crowd control
Yakuza got a new overhaul, no more komaki counter (asides from tiger drop) however, you hit harder, the charge ups are way more responsive and rewarding than kiwami 2..and oh my goodness those triple finishers... 🤤
One thing about mad dog tho, if you have the skill that makes you not lose durability when calm, the towel that stops you from gaining heat and a strong knife/taser, then Mad Dog turns into one of the most op styles (also works with Slugger’s bat or using that katana that shoots energy cuts)
I thought this was a goofy, but understandable list minus 3 things:
-Kiryu in Yakuza 4 is OD due to him having a heat action for every situation (including him breathing). Also after IF7R heat gain is goofy, but if you’re drunk as well you can fill half of your max heat gauge in one finishing blow. Even if you don’t do IF7R, you have constant access to red heat so it means you get even more heat actions available at any given time
-Saejima from yakuza 5 deserves to be higher. Herculean spirit and his ripping signs out of the ground goes wild. Also food bonuses and second health bars🗿
-No Kiwami rush, beast, and Brawler? I think they’re different enough because rush gets 5 quick steps, beast gets cyclone sling at no heat cost, and brawler gets the charged finishing blow and Thunder punch. Plus, they all get the “Time for ____” skills. If you had to rank them, how do they compare to their 0 counterparts?
Overall I love the video and the editing is top notch stuff! Only excited to see it blow up more and more!
I'd probably rank K1 rush much higher, rush because the heat issue is non-existent unless it's dragon.
And K1 brawler a little higher because it doesn't have the slow ass startup.
I can't say for beast as I don't remember much about it I remember people saying it's trash now but I'd say maybe a little higher or around the same
"I dont want to use a style just to dodge" man will struggle with dmc
Honestly, I could agree on a lot of things. While I would personally put Tanimura way lower, because I suck at playing as him, I see a lot of good points here, pretty much for every single style. Its really fun to see someone else's take on the different styles in those games. Very well done video!
(I laughed so hard on the Beast style one)
Thank you, I had a lot of fun with the beast section
Just finished 4 and I wholeheartedly agree with your #1 pick. Tanimura was a blast and his parry is my favorite "block action" in the series. No wonder they used it in Ishin as well.
I'm not really set on my own #1 pick, but Tanimura is definitely in my top 3 at least. Though I don't know if it beats the pure ecstasy of making my enemies fly away with a Tiger Drop. ❤️
Someone finally giving justice to my boy Tanimura, gotta be one of the most underrated yakuza/lad characters.
I liked playing as him from the start because of his parry. Not only that, he was the only one of the four playable characters in Yakuza 4 I actually bothered to do all the training missions with.
Also, I can't remember if any of the other characters had one, but having a heat action to get out of grabs was a Godsent.
I agree with your take on y6, i think the only problem i have with it is that there's no ground heat action so most of the time you had to wait for the enemies to get back up if you manage to knock them down
THANK YOU! bruh i was assuming the worst when i saw that number 20 pic, but got damn you nailed that landing! i was so mad i stopped my yakuza series marathon for a fucking week when i saw that tanimura wasn't in 5. he was fucking peak after a little bit of playing with him.
I agree with number 1 and 3, 100%. Tanimura was so fun to play with
shinada's fencing move will always be one of my favourite heat actions
Thug is the perfect hot take. I found myself using it more than Mad Dog and fully upgraded Breaker or Slugger, even for crowd control. Something about the clean movement and the reeealy long rush combo is so perfect. Definitely my favorite style in Yakuza 0
Hell yeah man I loved the video, I wouldn't mind more of these Lists fr
Been playing 4 recently and I got to Kiryu's chapter and I gotta say I miss Tanimura already, his whole moveset is just so cool
I used slugger all the time my first playthrough, even against bosses. Just felt good to use
The Mad Bonk of Shimano
Real talk. I come back to this video like every week, its just so amazing to watch, amazing editing skills and script. And kinda hot voice i mean very good mic quality :)
No script but thank you
@@Smokin-that-beef-pack thats even more impressive now gahd dayum
Talking about cocaine in Tanimura's segment is funny because his original actor got caught up in a cocaine scandal so they changed him for the remaster.
I used slugger on multiple bosses. It's unbreakable state is mad overpowered
Yakuza 5 saejima feels like such a good upgrade to make him work so much easier and just more fun
I started at Yakuza 3 because it was the earliest numbered entry I could find, and I didn’t understand Kiwami yet.
Yo man, first off, like for all these lovely Heat Actions. 2nd, you put Akiyama from 4 so high up. Big facts. He really carried the experience for me and made me an even bigger fan of kick fighters. So glad 4 was my first game
I wish I had got the flurry kicks and not the spin kick one but it still did it's job
16:50 Shinada's tripple kill combo with sword was before it's time. Considering the fact that tripple air or any tripple kill Heat Actions became actually entertaining in Judgment. Idc, only Majima's Breaker and, yeah, Mad Dog style was some way gorgeous.
Also, you forgot that Yakuza 5 gave us iconic Killer Kick combo, which was so belowed that it was later included in Yagami's Tiger style
I keep thinking about getting the yakuza games but I remember I've played every yakuza game and had my personality changed cuz of it, good video man
Thank you these games can definitely be life changing
i agree for number 1. tanimura is so fun with huge variety of options and banger theme.
I found that rush was best used for Mr. Shakedown fights.
That final Heat Action of 10 IVE NEVER SEEN!!!
Yakuza 5 Kiryu feels like Arkham in the red heat mode
I just started playing kiwami 2 and your comments on the fighting style are completely valid i feel the same way
Like I know Yakuza 6s feels smaller and limited as you said but it just oddly feels better in every way
The beat is always so good
Playing Yakuza 0 (first game in the series) and holy hell, Thug feels fresh and crisp to play.
Tanimura - Actual cocaine in his system
bro
update:
the tiger drop is reeaalllyyyy broken in kiwami 1!!!
In Yakuza 5 there was so many people grabbing me I could just tell who was gonna do it and so I just started to call them grabbers because they wouldn’t stop.
i fucking love tanimura, and totally agree. I agree with a couple of the other ones too.
