Skating is hard and frustrating man, it’s obviously a good rule of thumb to not do that, we all try not to, but sometimes you’re just gonna get too frustrated and not be able to help it. John also clearly tries to never cuss and keep a clean mouth for his vids but you hear him sometimes get super mad and let out profanity

One of my favorite videos yet! You always make the tricks look so easy, I’ve skated since 12 and took forever just to Ollie then progress to heel flips and shove it’s, 180’s, manuals and grinds. I have maybe 5-10 tricks in my bag but I normally hurt myself or have a hell of a time landing what I want. It was great to see you keep going at it and show that you are not magical and even you struggle sometime! Much love my man!!

we just like the city. I think new yorkers tend to move to brooklyn to escape the chaos, but when people from tiny towns like sara and I move to new york, we wanna be in the thick of it
Dude you're a legend in so many ways! Such an inspiration also in many ways! Do take a week off though and allow yourself a few days for the mind and body to rest... It never seems like it on the daily but after a few days rest, we realise how much we needed it. A gold reset also recharges those engines more than ever too! All the best man and thanks again ❤️

I don't skate, and while I admit it's really cool to see how a professional does it, it's more than that. You're an awesome dude and seeing you do what you do, talk about your life and how you progress daily is one of the most motivational things can watch rn. Especially given the current situation in the world. I've probably only been out a dozen times since March (living in California), so watching your vids has been really getting a fire stirred up in my soul! Keep it up, man!
heck yeah john! you're so motivating, seeing you struggle during one session and then getting it on another when you're in a different mindset is powerful. i've had similar days (but my easy tricks are way more simple than kick back lip lol)

Heck yeah! I'm a Storror fan too. I couldn't begin to do half the stuff they do, despite being athletic and light and such (mostly because I prefer to avoid heights lol). But it's the creativity I really like. Very inspiring. Also, cool you got that revenge on the spot. Very cool!

@John Hill, I'm not sure if you'll read this, but if you find yourself unable to get a good exposure when it's really bright out, try using neutral density filters. They allow you to control the brightness of your exposure without effecting the color. I love your content BTW and watching you skate always gets me pumped to skate! Keep up the good work!

After literal years of videos, it still blows my mind how this chiil, down to earth guy, can also be a Rage Monster. I still can't fully believe it. I guess props for showing that you are human who gets frustrated like everyone, but as someone else in the comments said: It feels a bit uncomfortable like seeing your parents fight.

I love seeing truck melt downs, I had a three hour one trying to land a single kickflip in the rain one time and could barely walk because my shins and ankles hurt from trying it so many times. I thought I was being super weird looking back but when you see the battles it reminds you that were all doing it

Honestly I watch this channel because of the mantra "Progress Daily". Everyone sits back and just does the same thing everyday but not John, he is always working to get better at things. I want to skate someday, but I need to work on my health first.

I'm sure I'll get lost in the sea of comments, but my input as a non-skater who watches your video: I am 29 years old, and have always had the mindset of "I should try skating one day" as I love watching it (have been watching X-Games since I was a wee lad), but suffer from mental fatigue insanely fast. As such, I have walked into skate shops throughout my 20s, but could never pull the trigger and buy a board. Now that I am turning 30 in the next month, I fear my body doesn't have the ability to take the abuse of skating. I love watching skate channels and seeing others grow. I will spend my time trying to figure out what I can do in my personal power to Progress Daily.
