I was looking at a car the other day. They actually emailed me a deal of 20% off msrp when I got to the F&I office. They wanted to add $6000 in junk. Transportation Fees, Dealer Fee, Vehicle Prep Fee and Paint Protection. I took a pen and put a big X through all of that. Told them that none of this nonsense was in your email. They refused to remove any of it. Walked out and left them a bad review everywhere. They called me back a few days later, offering to "make it right." Just pay MSRP and you will have a good experience, it’s not always the sales person, it’s mainly the customers who have unrealistic expectations of what a car should be sold for. If you don’t like the price, buy a cheaper vehicle. Customers lie more than sales people. Now the finance office is there to offer products, you do not have to take them, just say no. If they insist on pushing a product and refuse to remove it from the deal, just walk out. BTW that “junk” you’re referring to has saved me massive amounts of money for repairs.
