Ken Fisher on Investing After the Bear Market

- Has the current bear market behaved more like a correction than a traditional bear market? Ken Fisher believes it has. In this video, Ken Fisher explains why the characteristics of this bear market are very correction-like and gives some insight into how he’s looking at the potential recovery.
Traditionally, bear markets have slow-rolling tops that take months before dropping over 20%. In 2020’s bear market, we saw an unprecedented drop into bear market territory, one that mirrored a typical correction. Ken believes this is because markets had just weeks to price in the potential effects of the widespread lockdowns that were put in place to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Ken believes this bear market’s similarities to a correction may lead to the same companies that performed the best in the previous bull market to continue leading in the new bull market.

Ken you have been a sound reasonable voice as usual. I will only panic when I watch you and you are not using your hands, that will be my signal that it is time to "get out".
Hm, I didn't get the last sentence. Was it a recommendation to own smaller and value stocks? Or a recommendation to own what worked best before the correction?
Very clearly the latter.
Thank you Ken Fisher
Great advice. Appreciate your brilliance.
Thanks for the advice.
thanks KF
So smallcaps might be better generally speaking?
Nope, KF definitely did not say that. Clear position is mega-cap, big gross margin stocks that were leading prior to Covid outsized correction. This is a bear in magnitude mostly.
I feel a disconnect. The sudden fall is due to a sudden indeterminate event. The faster the ball went down the sharper it rebounds supported by maniacal liquidity. The real glide will be seen once the fundamentals catch up. My view.
Someone is working fake arms and hands but, to be fair, they're syncing them quite well with what he's saying.
Let’s talk about things the virus will make come to fruition! Companies who do testing!
