I love my Roadmaster, but this is absolutely stupid that I have to disassemble half my bike to get to the battery. Y'all really need to redesign this on future models.
today discover that you don't have to remove everything if you want to disassemble your saddle. that's where the battery is. for a roadmaster you have to disassemble the 2 side and top box to access the bolt on the mudguard that holds the saddle. you can loosen the two side bolts when you take off the side covers. you can pull the 12 volt socket in the box out if you push it upwards from the outside (near the backrest) along the bottom while wobbling. you do not have to disconnect the plugs. then you can lower an Allen screw with an extension into the hole and loosen the bolt. push the saddle back and disconnect plugs and it's off. without removing the boxes
Removing the battery on the roadmaster is a pain in the ass. Open both saddlebags, remove trunk latches, remove one wire clip, pull heavy ass trunk off, remove side covers, undo three seat bolts, unhook seat wiring, remove wiring harness from above battery, unhook battery and pull out. On my roadking, it's one seat bolt and you are there.
On my 2019 Kaw voyager all I have to do to remove the seat is put key into the lock and turn. Voila seat is off and battery is right there. This Roadmaster reminds me of my Goldwing; way more complicated than needs to be.
You do not need to remove the trunk or saddlebags to do this job. Remove center electrical plug from rear case, go through there to access the rear seat mount bolt then push seat rear a little then out, there are two mounts on the side of the seat under rhe side covers that need undone.
Liking the Roadmaster, especially the removable trunk. Wish that Harley had that feature,

Thanks for this video! It got me through the process!
Thanks for the video, I found it very helpful.

The quick release trunk is a great feature. Also need quick release on the saddle bags.
my 2017 has the quick release saddlebags...
You can buy the kit for quick release for the side bags, ask your local Indian dealer, just had them installed on mine. Less then $300.
What a pain to do a simple job

I have two cables under my seat that have to be disconnected before the seat can be removed. This video only shows one.
I have two clips under my 2017 seat. Current they are giving me an ass ache trying to disconnect them.
What happens if you disconnect the ECU
I see you didn't film this in order the way this video reads is that you put the side bags back on and then remove the trunk.

I will add do not remove trunk while side lids are closed.. 99%chance you will chip or take paint off when doin so.. don't ask me how I know.. lol
