I personally liked the the 2nd one but it could be because I made them lol. As for the music i put whatever royalty free music I could without getting you a copyright so feel free to change that music up but the 1st and 2nd one are the best ones in my opinion. Thanks for the shout out man i appreciate it and them wheels turned out great! Keep up the great work man.
Saved to my favorites, due to inflation i won't be replacing my crappy corroded looking factory wheels on my 2006 Silverado after all. I'm gonna do them exactly like you did in this video when the spring weather arrives. Thanks !!!
I am doing actually old 2009 passât mags for my Golf sportwagen 2017 and all this love for winter mags! Heading back to the shed with my porter cable rotary sanding machine!
I found that Rust-Oleum 2X at Walmart in the Spring of 2015. Bought it to save money. (2 cans in one) I remember still buying too many cans. Anyway, I too was amazed how great the original rims on my 1988 Nissan Sentra turned out. Now I am about to do aluminum rims on 2008 Quest. Guess I'll do it the same way I did before. Wish I knew if you only used one can of primer and one l can of paint. I won't return extra cans and its No fun running out of paint. Especially with the wheels off the car. Ciao
im curious as to how it will hold up and will car wash rim cleaners eat it up. Maybe hit it with k2 clear coat after paint for durable protection. they look really good.
Its about 12 dollars to replace the Acura symbol in the middle of the wheels. I just popped new ones on. Now I will do what you did but use car clear coat on top. I own a lot of curbs. lol.
I thought they looked awesome after full sanding! Could you just sand them and then add clear coat and be done? I’m not too keen to spray paint my rims 🤔
I've sold this car a few years ago but I have a few other cars that I used the same paint and process and unless you curb them or have to change a tire the paint still looks fresh.
You can. It's really personal preference. I didn't add it just in case I have to make some touch-ups in the future it's one less step that I'll have to do
Yes clear coat can be added for more shine. I didnt add it to keep the cost down and also if I ever have to repair them again it will be easier just doing one coat of the silver
You would have to get the paint code for your wheels to match the OEM finish of your wheels. Then just follow this video but use the OEM paint instead of the rustoleum
@@hepzlawrence7710 Yea but make sure you get the rustoleum 2X. 1 can of that will do 4 wheels. I've used other spray paint that doesn't cover as good and needed a can and a half for a set.
Huge exaggeration in cost at least in Canada. At a minimum each can is $22, and you need primer, coat, and clear. That's $66 plus tax, and you need cans of each to be safe.
The center caps look different color because they are alloy wheels. I seen some guy in you tube stip the clear coat, polish and clear coat them. They came out the same original color. Your wheels look grey. You did a good job, just not oem color.
There are a few reasons I didn't do clear. 1. if I ever have to touch up I can just spray small spots instead of having to repaint the whole wheel and 2. High gloss finishes with show the imperfections in the wheel more. Which for wheels that aren't perfect is not a good thing.

You did a great job but I was surprised that you didn't finish them off with a couple coats of clear.
You are right, and thanks for reminding 👍👍👍 because i want to do that
Looks great! If you want more sheen add a top coat of clear. I’d put a wider tire on the rims to protect them.
I subscribed just because of the way you said “peeeace”!! Wheels look great!
Welcome to the channel
I love these TL/CL Type S wheels! I really need to sand & repaint mine, too. Great job! Those wheels look new!
If you add the clewr coat on top it cuts down on the metallic finish bigtime. Turns them to almost a gloss grey
I literally have the same issue with the same wheels my damn 07 accord. Thankfully, I’ve found this video!
For intros, definitely the first one 👌
I am doing actually old 2009 passât mags for my Golf sportwagen 2017 and all this love for winter mags! Heading back to the shed with my porter cable rotary sanding machine!
Wow, what a difference. Do you have an update how they held up? Thanks for sharing your video.
I sold this car a few years ago with these wheels but have done the same repair on pretty much every set of wheels I own and they hold up really well.
the first intro is the best imo
Pretty good! ... gave me confidence to do my wheels thanks 👍👍
I used this same can on 92 bmw rims 2 years ago came out dope I regret not adding Clear Coat 💯 great video
Not glossy enough you said, well you really should use a clear coat. Helps protect way way better. Plus you will get the gloss look u wanted. Thanks
What can a clear coat do you recommend...thanks bro..
Man those rims turned out amazing nice job
Riel_ Gaming thanks man. Much better than they were haha
Trying this on my Si’s, I’ll be making a video of it. Let’s see how it goes. Thanks for the coaching!
I like the oem look when the sun and light hit .these are flat non shiny.
hello from Alberta looks good well done , my 2005 blazer 2door 4x4 will look good I'm on it, thanks bro .
I'm gonna paint an aluminum mountain bike frame and wondered if rustoleum's 2x primer would work. Thanks for the demo.

Excellent work! Very clean and looks stock.
Looks brand new
Does that spray paint contain sparkles?
The first one looks nice

How’s the paint holding up?
If you were put a coat of clear on there they would came out a little shinier and will protect that metallic coat on there
Great vid. Did I notice in the music a sampling of the description from sweet project cars?
Can you do a video showing how you safely removed all four tires? Thanks.
Woohoooo!! Acetone fumes and a heater LOLOL thats funny:) Of course in the day I have used the oven to dry a Honda trail 50 gas tank. LMAO
Yea not great. Probably taken years off my life with all the painting I've done in the past
Its about 12 dollars to replace the Acura symbol in the middle of the wheels. I just popped new ones on. Now I will do what you did but use car clear coat on top. I own a lot of curbs. lol.
Mannnnn good 👍🏽 idea of the cards🤪🤪
Nice job im learning alot from your channel.thanks
Nice work Holmes!
Both intros are awsome
Great man!!!!! I'm soooo gonna do my rims myself
I thought they looked awesome after full sanding! Could you just sand them and then add clear coat and be done? I’m not too keen to spray paint my rims 🤔
how have they held up a year later
how many cans ( primer ) then (paint) to do 4 19 inch rims ? yours came out really good i’m in the process of sanding but afraid to paint i suck at it
I used 1 can of primer and 1 can of paint fie these 17s. I'd grab 2 cans of each just to be safe. The key is light coats in between drying.
I need a deck if cards first thing lol....good trick
How are they holding up to wear and weather?
I've sold this car a few years ago but I have a few other cars that I used the same paint and process and unless you curb them or have to change a tire the paint still looks fresh.
wow, no clear coats after all,,,?
also,,, did you test in time if this paint resist a while on the road ???
wow unbelievable dude.
Looks good, should the primer be sanded down tho?
How long will this last in Canadian weather and salt
AWESOME JOB 😳
I REALLY NEED MY CAROODED RIMS DIY JOB 🤔🙄
m.ua-cam.com/video/pKAKxAH__oI/v-deo.html
How do you get the overspray off the tires?
Badass video...I'm subscribing!
Good job bro💯💯... What's the name of the spray that i need?? I plan on doing this to my audi..
Can you list the primer and paint used? Saw it in the video. Want to be sure I get the exact product. How has the job held up?
My 3.2 cl is having transmission issues the torque converter isn’t locking up like it’s supposed to sometimes 😢
Very good job Nice
Clearcoat, ? Looks great but I would have put some Clearwater. Thanks for Video
Beautiful job
How would this hold up to having tires changed or having a flat repaired?
Good detailed video. Do you need gloss finish after paint?
Not need but if you want more of a gloss look then yeah
I have F150 alloy wheels with paint coming off. It is showing the black rim I assume. Do you think this technique would work with mine?
Noticed clear coat wasnt applied is it needed ?
Just personal preference. Just wanted it to be as simple and cheap as possible
DNALI ya slap on some coats of clear to get that shine and protect all that hard work , came out dope
those look brand new man
i got the same spray paint so thanks for the video
What about the clear coat spray
Looks good!
Clear coat not exist 5 years ago?
No clear coat?
Can I just make the alloy shiney to the bone and use a few coats of clear coats?
123 yes you can it would look much better than this
It will also be alot more work because imperfections will show more. There's a trade off
First intro with different music or like someone else said g35 revs
Should you have added clear coat?
You can. It's really personal preference. I didn't add it just in case I have to make some touch-ups in the future it's one less step that I'll have to do
Good job 👌
I just plastidipped mine. Probably the same day as you too
SonOfAHerbert how's it holding up
@@Jfresh55 very well. The mechanic who just serviced me complimented it
Not bad at ALL! 👍
Wow great job
Look great!
Thanks man 🙌
No clearcoat?
ROD Albano not for these wheels. With this color it actually looks nice without. I used gloss on my white wheels though
Great info for sure. Thanks.
Could you have given them a clear coat at the end , for a shinier finish ? Good job btw !
Yes clear coat can be added for more shine. I didnt add it to keep the cost down and also if I ever have to repair them again it will be easier just doing one coat of the silver
I say the second one for sure 🔥
i say first one but change the audio to something maybe car related like g35 revs lol
how many cans of paint did you use for all 4?
He said 1 can of primer and 1 can of base coat and he has a bit left
I personally don’t like either intros if I’m being honest but I think you should choose the one you like the most
Good job thanks man
How would I do this with just one wheel? Will it look the same as all the others or? :(
You would have to get the paint code for your wheels to match the OEM finish of your wheels. Then just follow this video but use the OEM paint instead of the rustoleum

One can of primer and one can of paint
@@DNALI is that for 4 wheels?

Instead of using playing cards you could use flash cards
Great video, thanks
I like you videos bato 👍
Man would have looked a lot better going back like it was with the almost polished high areas with just clear and juat paint on the lower sections
nice man!!!!!!.
look very good
Outstanding
does anyone do this in the new york coty area? let me know want mines done , same exact rims for an explorer
Clear coat
💥💥💥

If you wanted shiny you could have put a clear coat on .
