It's worth pointing out, the little white haired old lady they keep showing in the crowd, is Peter Kay's grandmother, and his mother is the one sat next to her.
Cheers Tommo
why is it worth pointing that out, tomdid ? i really depair, betimes. beat it, mush.
@@blackbob3358 Sorry, I should have said it's worth pointing out to people who aren't a fucking idiot with a tiny dick.
Thanks Tom. It was a fun fact.
I was going to say that! I'm sure I did a show with Peter before he was famous, I worked all of the North of England clubs as a singer from the 80's on...
The magic of Peter Kay is that he doesn't actually tell jokes....he just talks about how people behave. But he hits the nail on the head with every observation, every character he talks about we all know someone like that. We've seen people behave that way. Our moms all have a carrier bag full of other carrier bags, usually under the sink. Every family has an uncle knobhead lol
If you don't have a knobhead in the family... You're the knobhead.
Exactly 😂 the carrier bag thing is always funny because my mum still keeps them under the sink, you can rely on her having a bag 😃
I absolutely LOVE the fact you 'get' our northern British humour and you recognise Peter Kay as one of our funniest comedians. He's a genius and a national treasure.
Not many non-Eng]lish would understand all that he says! Well done!
I love that 80% of this bit is just him saying pointless British phrases we all use
I think only the British can truly get his comedy. Like you say, it’s pointless but funny phrases 😆
Hey they are not pointless. Many of the phrases we hear today are from the North.
@@Wriggs74 you know what I was saying 😂
My brothers & I go to London from Bristol for a long weekend's now & again , so when bumping into groups from the North of England ,in the pubs etc .The banter & stories of every day life, "is just such a laugh". Everyone has a uncle Ernie or a Aunty Flo in the family or street. Boltons Fred Dibnah was a great watch on the tele , what a great English character he was climbing those chimney stacks, it was mind boggling, he was always happy !
When he said the "my grandma said guess who's dead", the audience shot they cut to is actually her, and his mum to the left, hence why she seems incredibly embarrassed. It's too cute.
The woman with gray hair was his nan and the woman in black beside her was his mum. Definitely back home in his hometown. That show was brilliant. I especially loved the story about the robbery :)
Vanessa and Apple Strudel.. Austrian national treasures. 😀
@Brad Johnson Definitely. She's got that San Diego vibe about her. No hint of an Austrian accent.
You hit EXACTLY why Peter Kay is a genius. - Everyone can relate to everything he talks about, plus he’s a talented mimic and character actor. So glad to see you laughing and enjoying this.
You are absolutely right Martyn but is there an agreed new black-out to conceal what has happened to him.
As you know, he dropped out of a Tour 2/3 years ago and seems to have disappeared with the World at his feet...
@@Isleofskye I think we would all like to know what has happened to him. It was said to be ‘family’ issues but you’re right- a total news blackout. I hope he he comes back one day.
I don't think 'everyone' relates to him.
The vast majority of my friends think he is boring, old fashioned, too safe, and just predictable.
@@DjNikGnashers what! Both of them ?
@@martynadams2011 You're about as funny as Peter Kay, ie not at all.
I think the brilliant thing about Peter kay is that he's never to rude and just has the amazing ability to say things that we all think, great review 🍻🙏🙏
Thanks vanessa
His bit on weddings is another good one to watch.
Peter Kay's 'family weddings' is good, and when he talked about 'Crime Watch' really makes me laugh.
Peter Kay is brilliant, one of the best observational comics. Watched him at the O2 and laughing all the way through! He also has a greatest hits video from his show Top of the Tower, on his You Tube channel, well worth a watch. Thanks Vanessa, good choice, Peter Kay can brighten up your day!
Peter Kay is a treasure 💕...glad you like him , especially as he's a Manc 💕
Haha. Peter Kay is Britain's funniest comedian. Always on point!
Love the way you pronounce Bolton, Although Peter Kay often refers to Bolton as his hometown , He was actually born and grew up in Farnsworth in Lancashire, England and studied his masters in the university of Salford❤️❤️
Love this! I've recently moved to the UK from Canada and have been diving into some British pop culture lately to really immerse myself 😆 Thank you for introducing me to this gem!
I enjoy your reactions as much as the performance. 😊
I go to Austria every January for a month skiing, Austrians are mostly pretty much like Vanessa, approachable, friendly, it’s a place well worth a visit! Great food and beer too! Not expensive either.
That's what makes him a great comic, you can actually relate to what he says and wonder did that really happen and know it must have its pure art
I'm not a massive fan of Peter Kaye but his sit-com Car Share is essential watching.I was forced to watch it and dared not to laugh. Completely impossible, its so funny. Classic.
100% react to Dave Allen, older Irish comedian. Probably 1 of the best and likely was a big influence on Peter Kay.
I doubt it
@@gravyboat2370 You doubt what?
@@wiganlad2006 dave Allen was an influence on Peter Kay. Totaly different comedians. For one Peter Kay is 1000 times funnier.
@@gravyboat2370 Give over, they're both great comedians. But Dave Allen is still the funniest in my opinion, especially with me having an Irish family.
@@wiganlad2006 each to their own . Dave Allen was decent but I wouldn't put him in my top ten or say he was simular to Peter Kay. That's like comparing Bernard manning to Bob monkhouse 😂
Heya Nessa sincere thanks for bringing another smile my way,, you have the most expressionable eyes when you smile, i love to watch your face when you are laughing at Peter Kay and others,. Many thanks best wishes Tim Sunday photographic promotions UK/IRE
Enjoyed watching your reactions to Peter Kay. By the way the two ladies the camera panned onto during this performance were his mum and his nana. He is so relatable and his observational humour is something most will be able to associate with.
Love the Crowded House mention. Great Band !!
Laughed the whole way through, thanks Vanessa.
Cheers from Canada
Peter's a natural genius 👍
Peter Kay from Lancashire where all the funniest people come from.
😂 so love your choice in comedy and your reactions 🥰
I've seen this clip so many times enjoy this I always do.
He's funny. You're the 2nd channel reacting to him and I can't help looking him up now. I'd never seen him before. I love British comedians.
Dear Vanessa
I urge you to watch the comedy series ‘Car Share’, written by Peter & co star Sian Gibson. It’s a superb production, played for the most part in a vehicle in everyday surroundings. Every episode is a gem of genius.
Brilliant girl! You have such a great channel going here - love it to bits!
Another great video! This cheered me up so thank you! Hope you're well Vanessa! :)
The lady in the black top with glasses is Peter Kay's mother. I'm from Bolton too. Northern humour (north of England) tends to take the Mickey out of people, especially oneself. Glad you enjoy his humour.😊🇬🇧🇺🇲
Great sketch. "That were our Billy" :D That voice cracks me up. Peter Kay is such a good observational comedian. Very funny man.
Thanks for that reaction.
I love it when you do Peter Kay videos, you appreciate him so much. Please do more! He’s so funny and I love seeing your reaction to him, it doubles my enjoyment to see you giggling at him and no matter how many times I see these clips, they still have me laughing my head off! Great stuff Vanessa x
I agree, he is one of the best. Wish he could tour here.
Always love watching A bit of Peter Kay Love it Love it🤣🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Whenever I'm clearing a ball when playing football, I always say his famous line 'Have it!'. Lol
Very good - as usual!
A happy smiling Vanessa is always a boost. And Peter Kay is always a good bet to raise a laugh. So, win - win. Thanks Vanessa. Hope tomorrow's a better day for you, flower. Xx
Love your posts, Vanessa. Just great!
I am really impressed you got his accent all the way through Hes a Lancashire lad and proud of it
I saw him a few years back in Manchester. I laughed so much my sides hurt for the rest of the night! Check out his "Live at the Top of the Tower" in Blackpool
Thanks for liking Peter Kay. Though I live in the USA now I miss my northern roots, especially comedians. One you should listen to is Mike Harding. Let me know if you need something specific to listen to. Keep up making our days. ❤ from the USA.
Soooo funny. Love yr reaction. He is a true master of the art of human observation...his books are absolutely hilarious about his upbringing.
Peter Kay STILL has me crying with laughter
My old school used the Albert Hall for prize giving, lovely venue. Perfect Bolton accent too.
I wish I could bottle your smile....the most beautiful x
You go girl 🤣🤣💕
Love seeing you Happy
Peter Kay is the best. Simple.
Peter Kay is the besttt
I was so excited when I saw you were reacting to Peter Kay again, there are loads of clips on UA-cam from his stand up routines that are worth watching. There is also his comedy series that he's written... my favourite is Car Share... there is a clip on UA-cam called Car Share Dogging... I would love to see you react to it...
My absolute Darling, just to let you know, your giggly laugh at the very end of the show is now my ring tone. X
When he's talking about his Nan, I believe that the lady the camera keeps focusing on in the audience is his actual Nan.
Yes thats his nan sat with his mother they are often in the audience
As I posted earlier, I am an old guy......88 years old to be precise, so I am NOT trying to get in touch with this young lady. I have to admit, however, that she is possibly one of the most beautiful ladies on this website. I find her video clips really great, she is not afraid to show her feelings, and to laugh out loud at some of the things that she hears. Well done Vanessa, just keep posting the clips that you enjoy. Best wishes always.
Peter Kay is a legend xx
Peter Kay and , Lee Evans comic genius
Peter Kays crime watch bit is absolute gold.
Seen him live, hilarious.👍
Peter Key is sooooooo funny, always makes me laugh and happy😊
Peter Kay is the business his observation levels are amazing the wedding clip is very funny
Hi Vanessa :-) New subscriber here. I have finally caught up with you and wanted to say hello. You always make me smile, and I simply wanted to drop you a quick line. I heard you mention The Cotswolds in one of your videos; well, I live near Cirencester in Roman Villa country! Keep posting your musings as you have a new fan here! Take care love, Kevin
Everytime I watch one of your videos it just cracks me up when I hear the Mii plaza theme tune.
Love Your Videos
You are So Posh
Love Your Accent
From the UK
Peter is HILARIOUS
Excellent old-school observational comedy
Great stuff. keep on keepin' on.
I'm not sure if you may have already seen him Vanessa but i think you would enjoy Lee Evens.
He's a really funny guy and so animated!, lol!
You look stunning as always and hearing your voice is always a pleasure.
A wonderful video.
Enjoy your day!
Hard to type 😭
When the Carrier Bag's cost more than the Beans 🤣
Poor Connie 🤯
🔊 Brilliant Vanessa
What A Beautiful Smile 🤩
I could watch you forever... you're so honest with your reactions unlike some.... oh yeah your beautiful too x
That's his gran in audience putting her head in hands ps love the channel
The old lady in the audience is his Gran. Peter’s Mum is the lady sat next to her.
Michael McIntyre, “you’ve got no idea” having children. This will make you cry with laughter!!
Hi Vanessa ... enjoying your weekly uploads 😀 ... would love to see your reaction to the Welsh comedian Rhod Gilbert - luggage ... also ... toothbrush (rants) on Michael Mcintyre comedy roadshow
Loving your vids - love that you GET Peter Kay (sure you know this - but the grey-haired lady in the audience is actually his Gran) if you haven't already PLLLLZZZZ react to Peter Kay "Trip to the Dentist" :))))
What a beaut❤️
Lovely video😊
Peter Key is brilliant 😃
Vanessa, if you can manage to watch the entire DVD its pure genius! By far the funniest show I have ever seen. Never fails to make me howl with laughter... "C'mon Connie, times time" LOL
It's hilarious but so true to life 😂😂😂
Hey Vanessa. You are fantastic. A young Nigella. Well done on your great channel.
I'm quite impressed that you understood a lot of it. He has a really strong accent.
In my opinion Peter Kay is the best the UK has produced. I remember when I first saw him in small warm-up gig in Oxford, I literally ached with laughing.
I'm late to the party here, but as a massive Peter Kay fan I just had to what you thought of him. So pleased you 'get' his humour! As you like Peter Kay you should check out Victoria Wood (you may already have done so, I haven't visited your channel yet. Heading there now), but she could be described as the female Peter Kay, the was she used relatable subjects for her humour. Some of her sketches, especially with Julie Walters, were borderline genius! The waitress, the shoe shop and the fitness instructor are just three that come to mind (not to mention 'Let's Do It; The Ballad of Barry and Freda"). Sadly, she's no longer with us, something I still finds hard to believe, but her comedy will never get old.
He's just such a naturally funny bloke, definitely one of the best comedians of the past 20-25 years.... definitely a national treasure
At 5:38 when Peter was talking about carrier bags, screen went to a woman in black, that's Peter Kays mum who goes to nearly all his shows. She admits she does supply him with a lot of material from things she's said lol
Three of my favourite things that my late Mum came out with when I was living at home are as follows.
The first one when she was really busy was:
" I've only got one pair of hands...."
My response to that when I first heard her come out with that was " Well, you'd look pretty weird with anything more than that, wouldn't you? "
The second classic one was when she'd messed up doing something:
" Look at what you made me do now...."
My obvious response was " Don't blame me for your mistakes - it's not as if I was standing behind you encouraging you to make it, is it? "
The third one was when I asked her to lend me some money she came out with this other classic which we've all heard before, haven't we?
" Money doesn't grow on trees, does it? "
I just reminded her of how silly that statement is by using my own form of twisted logic by stating " Where does the wood pulp come from to make the paper to make the money in the first place? " and then continued and answered my own question by stating " It comes from trees, doesn't it? Therefore this means that money does in fact 'grow' on trees otherwise we wouldn't have any of it, would we? "
She just got pissed off with me, gave me some cash and then quickly changed the subject.
As I once said to one of my brothers-in-law when we were talking about her while he and my sister were involved in an argument with her. " You can pick your friends, you can pick your nose, but you can NEVER pick your family, can you? ". He agreed with me and we had a really good laugh about it. :-)
Great Vanessa, try a trip to the dentist and also weddings, both by Peter Kay.
If you can get hold of the two series of Phoenix Nights, that will have you weeping with laughter. It's about a Northern Working Mens Club called The Phoenix Club. Peter wrote it, and it's wall to wall hilarious comedy. Check that out if you can.
He's a great observationalist, suggest you try some Billy Connolly , his show " An audience with Billy Connolly" is hilarious.... thnaks for entertaining me again Vanessa x
vanessa, not sure whether you know or not, but Peter Kay had a TV series called "Peter Kay's Car Share". If you like Peter, you'll love this haha
I have 2 tickets for the Peter Kay event!! You are coming with me!!
I only saw Vanessa`s post about misheard lyrics a few days ago, and I thought that I was going to be disappointed. I was SO wrong, now I am actually searching for her posts, I think she is really into the Brit sense of humour. As an "Old Git" aged 88 I tend to watch the internet quite a bit, as I do not go out much in the Winter, and I just HAVE to admit that I find her whole demeanour really sweet. Carry on your good work Vanessa.
Try Michael McIntyre five spice 😉 and his trip to the dentist.....I just rematch them both and am rolling with laughter - love your videos BTW x
Claire I completely agree, it’s my favourite sketch 😂
You did well to understand these jokes they are very British. He's joking about common phrases some of which don't actually make that much sense. i love how he does that. Very relatable humour.
Hey Vanessa loving the vids, you should watch Lee Evans Olympics XL Tour.
