@@AMANDARAEUK there is another scene you definitely have to react to, it's up on UA-cam and it's called 'Uncle Albert funniest scene', aka the 'errrr, a girl!!' scene.
Please watch the whole series, if you really want to know the UK is all about, not just for you tube but for yourself, it will make you laugh, cry and everything in-between.
One of my all time favourite lines in any tv show was Trigger saying, “They’re calling the kid Rodney after Dave”. Triggers broom is another favourite, the chandelier obviously. The satellite dish outside the apartment which ended bringing Boeing jets in around Nelson Mandela House. The sex dolls spontaneously inflating. There are too many to pick an absolute favourite
Easily one of the funniest scenes of any TV show. The writer, John Sullivan, wanted Del to stumble and almost catch himself as a person would naturally do (like the "kick" in Inception), but David Jason knew it would be much funnier if he fell like a log without even looking in the direction of the fall. Comedy gold. And as many people have pointed out, Trigger's reaction to the disappearing and reappearing Del Boy is priceless.
I clearly remember having a beer while I was watching this episode it took me almost an hour to finish that beer afterwards I was laughing so much also another good sketch to watch is the chandelier and when they was dressed as Batman and Robin.
Unsurpassed brilliance from Mr Sullivan and his team; pure, uncontrolled life-giving laughter. Will never forget the first time watching these scenes; for the Batman and Robin one I instinctively stood up when I realised what was coming... I cried with laughter.
OMG Amanda, asking British viewers to comment on their favourite ONLY FOOLS moments is like lifting the lid off Pandora’s box. It will keep you busy for weeks if not months 😂 I would contribute to the list but I’m not that cruel as you will need to sleep and eat at some point in time.🤣🤣 enjoy them all as they are comedy gold 🤗
What does Del mean when he describes women as sorts? I thought for years that it meant they're of above-average looks, but Del once describes a girl by saying that she's not much to look at, but she's a real sort.
Brilliant, the chandelier scene is also unmissable! I once read about an interview with David Jason where he spoke about this very scene. He said he had to fight every instinct to put his hand out and look in the direction he was falling. To make the comedy work he had to fall like a statue and trust that the prop guys had left a mattress for him to full on to.
The writer, John Sullivan, had said the chandelier is based on a true story involving his father. When David Jason heard the story he asked to write it into an episode.
Oh, yes, I'm not a big fan of Only fools and Horses but the chandelier scene is pure gold. Could have come from the early B&W days like Chaplin or Laurel & Hardy.

The Batman and Robin episode, they usually air a couple of classic episodes on Christmas day each year, after you eat your dinner everyone sits down to watch Only Fools and Horses. Also the one where he goes on holiday to Florida and gets mistaken for a mob boss is a hilarious episode...
Interesting that so many viewers think it's Trigger's reaction that makes the scene (I'm also one of them!) as he wasn't originally in the scene at all. Roger Lloyd Pack (the actor) happened to be in the BBC doing another show and popped in to see if he was needed, and the rest is history...
Only fools and horses was a brilliantly funny comedy but it was also about family sticking together there were also some very emotional scenes as well, British TV at its very best.
It’s exactly as you say Amanda, everyday life in an art form. Brits are always self deprecating which makes the humour real, not manufactured. Your laughter is a tonic! 👍
A scene which is one my absolute favourites is in 'heroes and villains' episode. Although with a show as good as only fools and horses you can guarantee a laugh with every episode
I first saw this episode way back in the past and it made me cry laughing and it still does, even though I know what is going to happen. Absolute genius. Trigger was also a big part of the show and some of his inputs were hilarious, we could have a whole video with just Trigger. Roger Lloyd Pack was so brilliant. John Sullivan was in a league of his own as a comedy writer and Only Fools and Horse is probably the funniest comedy show ever.

Every Pub in England had a Del Boy type. It remains funny as the Scenario was completely feasible in addition to being well acted. How many elbow on Bar types have come close to this when the Bar Person has gone to collect empty glasses leaving the bar 'flap' open?
If You enjoyed the Bar Scene I highly recommend the Chandelier scene from an earlier episode called "A Touch of Glass" it's one of the most iconic moments of the show and is always worth a watch
30-40 years old, and still funny as hell and cracks me up every time. Other classics were Triggers medal for his long lasting broom, and him explaining why he called Rodney Dave. Comic genius.
There has never been and never will be anything like this ever again! Was the funniest show on TV! I remember watching that with my dad, he had just taken a drink as Del fell through the bar, my dad spat it out and started laughing and crying!
This is a TV classic, but in all the times I have watched this scene (and that is a LOT) I have never seen anyone just laugh as hard as Amanda does. She really "Get`s It".
I can't remember how many times things like that have happened to me (so far - with more to come, I imagine). Memories of things like that often come to me and I laugh to myself about myself. Priceless!
As a teenager I always tuned in to Fools and Horses. Isn't the english language and daily life truly amazing, when talented comedians play around with it.😊
Apart from this my other OFH favourite moment is Triggers broom. Absolute classic. I used that to classify all the "new" ideas the team came up with at work for years. Alternatively the Batman and Robin skit made me choke on my cuppa. The chandelier scene is brilliant. My favourite episode though has to be the Peckham Spring.
The chandelier scene is another good one, made funnier by knowing they couldnt afford to do shoot the scene twice so they were threatened with being fired if they messed up, and seeing David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst nearly ruin it by laughing. But the video quality isnt great so you dont see that so well.
I believe that the famous chandelier scene is based on an actual event that occurred in Ireland and of which the screenwriter John Sullivan know of. He was telling the cast members about it and they thought it was so hilarious they asked him to include it in the show.
Bless you Amanda - snorting at 1:15, surprised you lasted that long! Great reaction video as always. Can I suggest the scene of the 'blow-up dolls' in the back of the van? Tad risque back in the day, but sooooo funny! Thanks girl!
The two categories that people generally "fall" into about what makes this clip funny to them are those who laugh at Del falling and those who laugh at Triggers face. I'm a Triggers face guy 🤣
Amanda, if you haven't seen it, please check out Rowan Atkinson at the London 2012 Olympics. 5 minutes of video, great music, not a word spoken, and absolutely hilarious. Only one person in the world appears to be able to do this.
David Jason had previously been in "Do Not Adjust Your Set" with some of the team that would become Monty Python - there is about two seasons run on YT, one sketch is 'how to fall' as David demonstrates to actors etc , how falls should be done (actually its the same fall about 5 times over). David Jason went on to play mainly old men characters - notably Blanko in Porridge, before becoming the nephew of Ronnie Barker as a corner shop delivery boy in Open All Hours
Trigger's Broom always has me rolling with laughter. Only Fools is a true tonic on the bad days. Never fails to cheer me up and remind me to enjoy the little things. Keep up the good work Amanda, love your reactions :)

He was outstanding at writing a long set-up, which made the payoff more worthwhile. The trigger's broom joke originally came from Open All Hours, but it died a death because there was no proper set-up. I'm pretty sure he saw it and recognised that it had potential and just needed a different environment and longer set-up in which to make it work.

After having Sir David Jason in hysterics, it was decided to be included in Only Fools and Horses. Love your reactions Amanda keep up the fantastic work.
The thing you probably did not notice that when he got up he still had wine in his glass? There was someone crouched down behind the bar that handed him another drink - but with less wine in it.
The story of Only Fools , well Del is true , John Sullivan based Del and the series around this London Fly Pitcher he used to see with his Parents then most of his life upto obviously living in 19million quid props from his fame. If they haven’t already I’d add Tony Angelino and Raquel singing… the best thing is watch the the entire 22 years worth of episodes.. something to do of a cold evening!😊
This scene was made by chance. The actor was in a theatre play nearby and popped in to say hello during the interval. So they improvised this scene and did it in one take. Voted no1 scene of the entire run.
This stunt was originally done by Stan Laurel in the film Way Out West. Stan fell through the bar in a western saloon just after the barman had walked through it. He fell without flinching in exactly the same way that Del Boy copied.
What makes this even better is the fact that Trigger wasn't supposed to be in this scene, he was filming another TV show next door and ended up in this scene.
So many in only fools and horses. The chandelier scene, the blow up doll scene, Batman and Robin scene, the auction house scene (inside and out). My personal fave is when Del tries to get Uncle Albert to act shocked at Rodney going out with a girl. You actually see David Jason who plays Del barely staying in character because he can't hold his laughter.
One of the Great comic genius in the UK. Trigger passed a little while ago. David Jason is still about. Always has me in fits when I watch fold and horses.
I hope I haven't said this before, but... People forget that in the 1960's David Jason was in a children's sketch show called "Do Not Adjust Your Set" where he did an almost two minute piece the constisted entirely of him falling down, getting up and falling down again. He was well used to falling down.
I have followed OFAH from the very first episode but this bar scene is my all time Favvvvvvv...First time i saw this with my family we were crying with laughter hours after every time we thought about it.......OFAH will live on forever for future generations to enjoy.

That has to be the best episode of Only Fools and Horses ever, how David Jason kept a straight face, i will never know!
Just classic this scene the greatest British comedy ever Only fools and horses it never gets old😂😂😂
Your little snort was EPIC. 🤣
Laughter is good food for the soul.
The painting of the chinese restaurant, the chandelier scene, and any trigger s lines especially with Dave 😆
Love this ! You have to watch the episode where Del goes hangliding . It’s hysterical . You will be in tears .
So many, but the chandelier scene is probably my favourite.
One of the Great comic genius in the UK. Trigger passed a little while ago. David Jason is still about. Always has me in fits when I watch fold and horses.
My favourite is the blow-up dolls in the back of the three wheeler with Del and Rodney. Wonderful.
😊👍🏻👍🏻
I have always been told this was a mistake but it was so funny they kept it in
Love only fools and love you Amanda aswell.. Your laugh and snort is infectious
The episode where the Albert falls down the cellar is also great. Right to the very end.
The chandelier scene I think is probably the funniest Only Fools and Horses scene, definitely worth watching
The chandelier scene… the greatest
Still one of the funniest sketch's on TV, nothing comes close these days.
👍🏻
British comedy at its best. I have watched it several times over many decades and it still makes me laugh. Both Del Boy and Trigger priceless!!
I hope I haven't said this before, but... People forget that in the 1960's David Jason was in a children's sketch show called "Do Not Adjust Your Set" where he did an almost two minute piece the constisted entirely of him falling down, getting up and falling down again. He was well used to falling down.
I remember seeing that when it was first shown. One of the great moments of comedy!
Still as funny now as the first day I saw it , pure class 🙏🏻
One of the best moments on TV ever.
I have followed OFAH from the very first episode but this bar scene is my all time Favvvvvvv...First time i saw this with my family we were crying with laughter hours after every time we thought about it.......OFAH will live on forever for future generations to enjoy.
It’s brilliant! 👍🏻
As an English lad Only fools and horses is one of our finest comedy gold! 🇬🇧👍🏼
Everyone of them are great as you can’t watch one of them without laughing and that’s a fact lol 😂😆
True lol
The joy of good comedy writing and its performance. They must have been laughing themselves,
understanding the potential in this classic scene!
