I have the app on my phone and remote works great with one exception, volume? no buttons for volume I saw you use your phones volume, i have a samsung s21+ went to volume bars and nothing changed the tv volume, is this a samsung issue?
My power button will not work on the Roku (Ultra) using my Android phone. Can you literally power it down and power it on with the little red power button in the upper far corner of the remote on your Android? Thank you.
Since the physical remote is out of commission for me, I have been using the app on my tablet and my phone. This morning I opened it and I accidentally set something off. Now I have this 'My Roku' at the bottom of the screen. How can I get rid of it?
Well it’s not helpful if you can’t manipulate the Roku settings on your TV because your remote doesn’t work and you don’t have the app downloaded. How do you get the app downloaded if you can’t connect to your TV
Hey sir I have a question, after downloading Roku mobile app, if I added my Netflix to it, can I watch Netflix shows inside my Roku app on my phone(not on TV), as you did for Downtown Abby? Thankyou
No you can't do that. Only launch Netflix to your TV. You'll have to install Netflix separately on your phone. I think only the Roku channel can be watched on your phone.
Hey@@AMEER-114- the phone is a secondary virtual remote for your Roku device. But you don't have the physical remote, then you can still connect to your Roku device through two different devices; one acts as a hotspot while the other a virtual remote. @@AMEER-114-You must use an existing physical remote to set-up the virtual remote on the Roku App as shown in the video. If you don't have an existing physical remote, then watch the video link I shared above. Does that make sense?
@gracerods I'm having the same issue! The volume isn't working. My phone side buttons don't control it. Idk what to do because my physical remote is broken
This is dumb: if I had the remote I wouldn't need to use my phone to control the Roku TV. Question is: how do I connect my Roku TV to my wi-fi without a remote?
Hey you can use a combination of two smartphones to achieve that as long as you remember the previous WiFi network name and password your Roku device last connected to. How it works is that the first phone creates a hotspot or WiFi network that mimics the last WiFi network your Roku device connected to and the 2nd phone then uses Roku App virtual remote to control your Roku device. I did a video tutorial on the process here ua-cam.com/video/KpE8YNt6pVk/v-deo.htmlsi=i-hn1ru-BntCB9Cf
Have to have your lost remote to set up and use the Roku remote on your phone... Lot of good that does you.
So you need original remote to get it to setup .I don't have it

Thank You for your video guide. Simple and easy to follow instructions.
There’s no option to adjust the volume when using one of my devices. Is there a way to adjust the volume using every device ?
That’s what I’m wondering also
It is. If you don’t see it under the remote tab just press your volume button on your phone up or down.
that was my question but volume on the phone does nothing for me @@joshuawilliams4393

I buy some remote for my tv on Amazon I bought from 4 different sellers them didn’t work I don’t no what going on with my tv
I just wanted to be able to turn the TV off and on from my phone. But I didn't hear/see you demonstrate that.
If you've successfully set it up, you should see a red power button at the top right corner of the App. This will turn the TV on/off.
QUESTION : CAN THE B1G player on roku be installed in all regions: as it says it locked out if am not in Europe or USA
Roku player works only in regions it supports.

My don't have the volume buttons
How am I supposed to go to settings without a remote
I can't turn my Hisense Roku TV on because I don't have my Roku remote. Trying to turn phone into a Roku remote so I can turn my Roku Hisense TV on
Is this app money one
How can I check and see if the roku is on the same wifi if I don't have the remote?
Unfortunately you can't. You need a remote to navigate around the Roku interface, to connect to a WiFi network or check status of WiFi.
I’ve been trying to find how to make that not happen
I love the Roku app, especially the virtual remote.
This was no help because I still don't know how to control the volume???
Unfortunately you can't control the TV volume from the app for some reason.
Thank you for this video!
Explained exactly how to do what I wanted to do!!!!
