- Everyone LOVES these very rich Neiman Marcus bars. They are so easy to make & no one can eat just one! I've made these for many years and got the recipe out of a Texas church cookbook,
Ingredients
1 package yellow cake mix (16 oz or more)
1 stick butter (melted)
4 large eggs
1 box powdered sugar
1 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions:
set oven to 350 degrees
Mix together cake mix, melted butter and 2 eggs . Spread the batter in the bottom of a greased 9x13 pan. In the same bowl mix the cream cheese, 2 eggs, box of powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth and spread over the cake batter.
Bake for 35-45 minutes. Toothpick will come out clean. Let it completely cool then cut into bars.
It's best if made the day ahead.
I dare you to eat just one! You may need a double batch, they go fast.
Going to make this for a bake sale!! Thanks for sharing 😊 Just wish you would have cut them to see finished bar's.

My baby sitter and neighbor would make this but with dark chocolate cake mix when I was growing up. My father just passed and she brought it over for us, I forgot how delicious this is and I’m hoping to make it myself. 🧡
I’ve never had it with chocolate cake mix. That sounds really good. I’ll give it a try
My Mama always made this for potlucks. It was her go-to! I never helped much in the kitchen, so thanks for posting this video!❤

Thanks for using real vanilla,so many older recipes use fake and there’s no reason to anymore! Real vanilla is the only way to go…..
