What an amazing yacht, truly beautifully designed to the details! Dick’s very thorough description makes one feel the excitement. Love the 3 episodes! Really, a dream boat!
The little things never cease to amaze (attention to small details) from the knowledge garnered (liitle books') over time and experience. Well done Kraken!!
I'd be really interested to hear Mr Beaumont's views on dual helms/ electronics and dual rudders? The three bearing rudder system is very impressive (having had experience with shaft driven systems) but wouldn't a dual system be even better? The jammers and 6 winches are really impressive - are they electric (with manual back up)? What is Kraken's objection to furling mainsails?
It's difficult to find fault with this boat, but Dick, that rope bin cover... I'd lose that over the side. I'd like to see it retained somehow unless I want to remove it.
I think they should have solar panel sails and solar panels attached all over the boat. Then they should replace the lead in the keel with some heavy batteries. That way the weight is actually useful and essentially the batteries won't make the boat any heavier. I just don't like having to deal with fuel: It is expensive, cancerous, toxic, flammable, noisy etc.

Kraken Yachts is the Turkish yacht building answer to Hallberg Rassy.
A hard top canopy versus a Bimini, too receive solar panels.

Are those backplane screws “Captive D-Ring Stainless Screws? Or just regular screws, that one needs to go chase a screw driver?
