Saw Dylan again in Dutchess County, NY at a stadium...he sang Visions of Johanna (my daughter's name...not for Dylan's tune; a family name)...my daughter was with me.

When I was 10, I remember breaking into the community pool with my brother and jumping into the deep end on a dare. After some panicked splashing I sunk to the bottom and lay on my back, eyes open, for what seemed like eons. The remaining air in my lungs must have made me buoyant enough to float, because I slowly rose to the surface. When my face felt the kiss of the cool summer breeze, I inhaled deeply and dogpaddled...calmly this time, to the edge of the pool where my brother stood laughing his ass off. I told him that I had almost drowned and he stopped laughing. He said that he thought I was playing around. We got our towels and climbed back over the fence and walked home.
