    Great class man, I've been watching the videos and practicing all the postures for over a month and am really starting to notice the results on my body. Thank you for making these videos they are very very helpful for those of us who don't have time to go to a yoga class.

    i just finished this yoga practice and for the first time listened to music along with it. I used one of the playlists from your spotify. A very different experience all around and I would recommend it to anyone. A great mix of music, making me feel both motivated and inspired. Thanks Tim

    I did this video this morning and it hurt so good! It cracks me up to see people walking or paddling by but seemingly unaware of you - like you're phased out to them but visible by us, very sci-fi spooky. I liked several videos and added them to favorites today. Keep the videos coming. I would love to see something for recovering from a day of skiing and / or mountain biking, although the post workout video will probbaly do the trick. Take care!

    Love your videos Tim. I found your page through Lesley Fightmaster and have been doing your videos for the past 7 days. Your explicit instructions are very helpful and are helping me become more conscious of my body. Just some feedback at the end with shavasana...it would be great if there was a 2-3 minutes rest at the end. The videos end within a couple seconds of moving into shavasana and then the next video starts right up. Not sure if adding more time would be inconvenient on your end but just wanted to provide my feedback. Thanks!

    I haven't done too many of your classes, but the ones I have done I have loved so far. I'm still very much a beginner at Yoga, but I feel my body moves better and better, and I'm more flexible now at the age of 40 that I have been since I was a little kid, it's an awesome feeling! The only thing that somewhat bothers me with your videos is that your narration is a little 'behind' and I think I have seen that in most of your videos. It would be great to hear you narrate what to do, and then be able to do it kinda in sync with your moves, instead of seeing you kinda half way while in down dog that you move, and not really know what to do. That's about the only think that I would want changed, the videos and locations and performers too are all awesome! It's a bit weird, but you actually help to make my body function better! Thank you!

      Unrealize Thanks. Yah thats one of the drawbacks of low budget production. As the channel grows and more people donate I will be able to pay people to help with editing but right now its one take and thats it.

    Hey Tim, another really great video, thankyou so much!
    I was wondering, what is your own daily practice? Is there a certain video most similar to your daily practice?
    Thanks again, i felt really open after this class

    • @YogaDose
      @YogaDose  9 років тому +7

      Yogi Oak These are all practices that I would do depending on the day and how my body feels. If I surfed a bunch or hiked the day before, the practice may be more stretchy or restorative. If I feel like I've been pretty stagnant ill do a long and physically demanding practice to keep me in balance.Great question

    Thanks Tim! I will share your vid on my feed, that's short for video. It'll catch on...anyway, question. I do 45 to 60 minutes of yoga a day, which I absolutely love, but I need more arm strength. I do core work and HIIT training everyday/night as well, but I haven't figured out the right combination yet. I feel like I'm kind of stuck in my practice until I gain that upper body strength, which is okay! But perhaps you have a suggestion. Thanks for any information! Have a beautiful day, namaste young Jedi

    • @YogaDose
      @YogaDose  9 років тому +1

      Jennifer Hunter Jennifer, good to hear from you. What is HIIT training? Where are you trying to get to? I have two different thoughts on your post. One is something Iyengar said about how you can be inspired by the practice to dedicate yourself to achieve the poses. Along that thread of thinking, you might want to use free weights (My teacher Megan Bello used to recommend this to some women) to make your upper body stronger, or try push ups and pull ups and plank holds or something.
      The other thought I had was something my teacher Vinnie Marino says about like how once you get your body to be able to do the splits, you will be totally happy, all your problems will go away, and you will be in a state of bliss... or something like that. The joke being, that once you get your body to be in a certain shape it will be cool for a bit, but then whats next. At the same time, the first time you do urdvha dhanurasana, you open your mind to a whole new experience. Just some thoughts I had...

    • @loothtooth1551
      @loothtooth1551 9 років тому +2

      Haha, right. It is about the journey. I think sometimes the desire to do something extremely well can have an affect on my acceptance level. I appreciate both answers! I probably need to work on both equally.
      As for the HIIT, that's High Intensity Interval Training. Basically it sucks. But I feel it's helped me progress in certain areas of my practice. I just need to keep in mind that as long as I stay open-minded and dedicated, it will come. Thanks so much Tim! Have a kick-ass day :)

    Thanks for another great video Tim! Still working on getting to the headstand. You said in this video there were several foundational poses to be really comfortable in prior to doing that, what (besides the arms overhead that you mentioned) should I be working on to get there?

    • @YogaDose
      @YogaDose  9 років тому +1

      Niki Warner Down dog, if your upper back is rounding you aren't ready. Also, Prasarita padottanasa with solid alignment. You have to have a pretty good forward fold to walk up into one with ease. Lastly, if you watch yourself going into it in a mirror from the side and you see your shoulder blades rounding on your back and your upper back round, your back isn't strong enough yet. So general opening of the whole body. Hope that helps.
