This is prices for top level / british championships. Easily can go club level at a fraction of that. £2000 - £2500 for your kart, about £450 worth of tyres for the fuel season. Get out working, whether it's at a team / track or something else. Will easily find yourself in an owner kart in 12 months time providing you dedicate yourself. That's what I did, bought the kart 100% myself at 15.
@@Jay-mn5bl my son is at club level this year and are using a set of tyres each weekend. It shows if you don’t use new tyres each weekend and you end up going backwards. £450 is very optimistic,
Money is the biggest issue for me. I would love to buy my own kart, race suit, etc, but I simply don't have the money. The furthest I could go is buying my own helmet, that's it
I started with a used rental kart. 350 bucks. Than watched videos how to maintain/upgrade it and just add money into it every time. You count need a suit in a cart that goes 45kmh. When you get it flying you can buy a suit.
And: Lap timer, rain tire set, pit car, transport to the track.
money is the issue, i can only dream...

@@Jay-mn5bl Even at club level that's pretty expensive. There's alot of other club level motorsport formulas which would cost the same if not less.
@@Jay-mn5bli found one for $1,000-$1,200
