I had this when I bought my prokart just before lock down. I used the pressure washer with a degreaser in a snow foam lance. Bearing carriers and bearings were all seized on to the axle. Just ended up replacing everything for new

i think you can get your rear bearings on easier by just opening up the bearing holder a bit, like jamming a screwdriver inn where the gap with tightening bolt is. i did this easy by hand on me and my brothers kart. (Pragua and Gillard)
It’s a little bit of a tricky design with these ones. I don’t think it’s particularly easy to keep a screwdriver in there whilst you hammer the carrier around the bearing.

We enter as part of a race weekend so the fees are different - I’m not sure what it is separate to that. Probably £60 for the day or something like that.

If a rolling chassis in this kind of state was £800, how are people finding any at the £400 price point suggested on the Facebook page? I was hoping to enter my son next year but really struggling to find anything at those prices suggested.
Simple answer: OTKs are popular and expensive. If you find a half decent OTK for £400 as a rolling chassis then buy it! You can get hold of some others for less from other brands - or maybe just get lucky with a good OTK from someone desperate to sell who’s happened to look after it. But normally £6-800 is the starting point for OTK.
Driving standards are very good - and strictly enforced. After you’ve bought your kart, you’re looking at 6 rounds costing £120 each. Aside from that, fuel at £10 per round and hotel / travel which is really down to you how you approach it. It’s as cheap as it gets

Hey Brad, if you put the disk in the caliper, lock the brake on then put the axle in it’s so much easier than hitting down to the right spot

I have a question when measuring for a new axle do you go end to end and then measure the hole at the end top to bottom

What paint process did you use for the frame? Straight over the existing powder coat? Great video!
Yeah and to be honest - it wasn’t great. Just a temporary fix. My brother actually had the kart acid dipped and repainted about two weeks later 😂
