Amazing review! Also the editing and the video footage is just great! Thumbs up!
I will go for the smallest - Lark m2
Can't be wearing tablet on my chest to get audio.
😂
This was very informative, thank you
Great testing! Detailed, but not to detailed. Lovely work, really helped me out in my choice. Love it!
Very useful review! Thank you a lot!!
Great comparison ! Really well made video, thanks ! 👍
Excellent comparison, I just picked up the Lark M2 and the noise cancellation is pretty terrible so it would have been nice to compare with that off.
I really love ur videos I started watching versus since you joined Olive and you are stunning keep the good work i'm big fan of you. ♥
This is awesome. Thanks for this comparisom
Why is all the test was the noise cancellation on for the LARK, we know NC is typically not good on these mics But to keep things clear and concise the lark was the only mic that was tested w/NC
Just found this channel, what a great idea this is!
I'm from Brazil and I was impressed by the quality of your video, your ability to explain microphone models, wow, you're incredible!!
Have u done a test on best mics for shooting with an Android? I want to be able to monitor while shooting, sd card and compactness. Thanks for any insight! Great videos!
Great vid! I just picked up the Comica but wish I had of went with the tiny Hollyland!
AWESOME COMPARISION!!!
Interesting comparison 😊
Great testing 👍 I use the Sony ECM-W3 + Lav with my ZV-E1 for interview for the simplicity of use and productivity. I don´t need to spend a lot of time in post production. 🙏
Remember folks with the LCF(Low Cut) function, you can reduce noise in the recordings. The LCF(Low Cut) function helps minimize unnecessary bass noises, such as breathing noises picked up by the microphone. The DJI Mic 2 comes with this feature turned on!
no brainer price convenience ratio Holly Mk2, amazing review I love your "mics necklace" a dream!
I have half a dozen sets of wireless mics, three of them fitting in this compact category. I bought the Rode Wireless Go II when they first came out and recently bought both the Rode Wireless Pro AND the Hollyland Lark M2.
As someone else here mentioned, it seemed like an unfair test to only use the Lark M2's in noise cancellation mode. I feel like this should only be used when there's just an insane amount of background noise and you have to try to have somewhat useable audio. Otherwise it should be left off.
I shoot professionally, get paid to travel all over the country. I also shoot a reality competition show where we recently implemented these Lark M2's. They are the most inconspicuous and the easiest ones to use when shooting vérité footage. Often this footage is shot with dozens of people around and it does a good enough job isolating the subject without having to use the noise cancellation feature. Previously, we used the Rode Wireless Go II with lav mics, but the process of mic'ing people up takes too long and frankly it ruins the "vérité footage" vibe since the long interruption takes them out of their natural environment and they start "acting" for the camera. But slipping a lanyard over their head with the M2's already attached or putting that little button on them takes a few seconds and it doesn't break them out of character or their flow.
If you're a freelancer doing this for pay, I don't recommend the Lark M2's as your primary or first set. You should get one of the better sets. But as a secondary pair, definitely get the Hollyland Lark M2's. It's so nice having a quick and easy option that just works.
This 👍👍
thanks for the information, if you had to chose one for professional work which one will it be
Footage is superb
Which one has the better workflow?
That s so interesting!😃🤗
The DJI mic 2 comes with the low cut filter on by default. If you turn off the low cut filter it won't sound muffled.
I just ordered the Sony product.
Thanks - great review ..!!
I'll be needing one soon, the all sound pretty good
I already have so many damn mics, but I bought the hollyland because of the size.
How about doing a comparative review of all the wireless lavs in the more budget category. No one does this. They just compare them individually to the dji/Rode.
Hi, thank for this review. All those mics are really good to listen. I'm using DJI MIC2 and Lark M2. Honestly, DJI's sound quality and Noise cancellation works better for me but the gap between those two mics are not that big. So I usually bring Lark M2 in my daily life and it's the best for the price.
As a lite user, non-content creator, I spent too much money on buying those mics🤣🤣 but I'm really satisfied with those. I have cheaper mics more such as Boya link and omic and their noise cancellation is really artificial and weird. Now I got to know that if I wanted to get natural noise cancellation, I would have to put much money for this. DJI and Lark's NC is real good.😂
You’re my favorite person on UA-cam.
The Lark M2 still the best Price to Performance. Many UA-camrs use it and the quality sounds very excellent
I was surprised how poor the audio was with the DJI. For me the Hollyland stood out for both audio and economy even if you didn't like it!
Why wasn’t Anker part of this comparison?
Awesome
Nice wireless microphone🤘
Good for content creator price?
Go fro hollyland lark m2.
You will get everything that u need as a creator.
Hollyland Guys 👉 👍
I have both Rode Wireless Go ll and Hollyland Lark M2 Duo and LOVE them both! No idea what you were thinking with the library test... and that is by far the ugliest jacket I have ever seen. Sorry, but I just had to say that. It's just... ugh. No test on the actual noise reduction on the Lark, or did I miss it, because it really works well, and my Wireless Go ll doesn't even offer noise reduction, which usually works poorly anyway but not on the Lark.
Woooow 😳
It’s very strange that there are so few likes... Thank you for your work
1:33 😂😂
9:23 👍 👍 👍
Wow you're tall. How tall are you in centimeters?
Where is our boy? 🙂
Best Sound: 1. Rode Pro 2. Hollyland M2 (if the treble wasn't so high #1)
2: Sony is sounding better than the lark m2 3: lark m2
I just got the DJI Mic 2 and for me the transmitter’s built in mic is dog shit. Sounds super muffled. However, I paired it with the DJI Lav Mic and it sounds fantastic so I’m pretty happy with it.
Onec again the DJI mic 2 comes with the low cut filter on by default. With the LCF(Low Cut) function, you can reduce noise in the recordings. The LCF(Low Cut) function helps minimize unnecessary bass noises, such as breathing noises picked up by the microphone. If you turn off the low cut filter it won't sound muffled.
@@Mikephotos I have tried it with the low cut off, still sounds muffled
Sony and hollyland is goat
I can't tell much of a difference
A LOT
Quiet Enviorment - GODOX HAS NOICE a lot of it , every one else does know how to make a quiter mic , would have been nice if you could have been silent for a sec so we just hear the background
from what i can hear on my reference headphones , sony has the least noice levels followed by rode , DJI sounds weird for some reason
Busy Enviorment - Every other than sony and rode cracks up weirdly , DJI is just straight up not great tbh
windy Enviorment - Surprisingly DJI does nice here , Sony has nice Voice but also wind , Rode was the best of both worlds tbh
so based on just sound i would be choosing RODE ( makes sense they made their name making actual professional mics )
although me using DJI products will be easier to use DJI , i think i will go with RODE
I feel dummy, too much info that i dont understand :(
Did you only use the Lark with noise cancellation on? Ive found the sound superb but I wouldnt use noise cancellation as it always ruins the sounds. The DJI has it too and that has the same issue. Seems a bit of an unfair comparison if that is the case after all the hard work youve put in.
First to comment ❤🎉
Sony sounds the most natural sounding capture. Rode is equal to the Sony. DJI is next. Lark M2 with noise cancellations sucks. Godox is totally crap.
Gd 🎉
Great video! DJI MIC 2 wins the competition for me!
Its « Reud » not « Rowd »
Godox was the best
Hahshah
Think you may need to watch the video again with headphones on. The Godox captured a lot of echo and it has a hollow tuning to it.
Maybe first 😂
Audio is bad!!!!! Why whisper all the time. I gave up after 1 min.
Great review! Thank you for doing it! I personally love the sound from my Hollyland Lark Max instead of DJI Mic 2. Even thou the latter can connect via bluetooth (which is quite good for point and shoot videos), the sound from Lark Max seems to be better to my ears (sound is usually a personal preference).
Sony ECM-W3 is really really great, might consider getting one! ❤
I do not comment on any videos, but literally have to comment down here: Where were you? I've been watching DJI vs. Rode for 4-5 days. And got this video somehow and now my review watch has ended.
