I thought about a game mechanic that would implement domain expansions. The game would be a 2v2 or a 1v1 since majority of fights are 2v2. When you are 1v1 you have a meter(close to Storm meter in naruto storm 4) and the domain expansion would last a couple of seconds but have different effects, Gojo's would paralize the oponent, sukuna's would deal massive damage, jogo's would have all his specials be buffed, mahito's would be a hit kill but have a very small range, Megumi's domain would make him able to if you use the left stick down 2 times he would go into his shadow and walk under the stage , Yuta would copy his oponent's domain, Hakari would play a minigame and if you win you would go immortal and loose no health for 5 seconds, Dagon's would have random shark attack's , Higuruma's would make it so special attacks would be prohibited for the opponent, Nayoa's would deal damage each time the opponent moved(by the player's controller).
We could also have many versions of characters, like (spoiler: the new maki and sukuna in megumi's body) with different movesets. Toji and maki would have a buff on on neutral and would be imune to domain expansion's.
The ultimate move's could be: Gojo's would a 0.2 sec expansion followed by a hollow purple, Megumi would use Mahoraga, Nobara would use a black flash with the hairpin, Itadori (post shibuya)would be a flurry of sucessive black-flashes, anime Yuji would be controlled by sukuna if at low health if not would be your idea, Nanami would use a mix of balck flash and his CT, Jogo would use the Meteor, Geto would hold the opponent with those worm shikigami and use Uzumaki, Mahito would toy with the opponent, Toji and maki would combo the absolute shit out of the opponent, Yuta would use cursed speech to stop the opponent attack and then use rika's finnal atack, Sukuna would make sushi, Todo would dance around with the opponent and etc.
We could also have duo ultimate's.

I fully agree with you.. except for black flashes. The drive rush style attack sounds like a great idea, but the mechanic is basically begging for a two hit attack like Sin's tyrant rave where mistiming the two button presses leads to a regular combo extender/starter hit and timing your two button presses frame perfect leads to a crumpling black flash. But overall, I am wishing for this kind of game to be made.
i've been thinking about this ever since i watched the hanami vs yuji and todo fight and this last episode really brought back this thirst for a jjk 2d fighting game for me. i would play the FUCK out of Todo, can u imagine how sick pro level gameplay would be??? genuinely could be one of the sickest competitive games out there, i NEED this TOMORROW bandai

i haven't even finished watching and i'm already hyped for a game that doesn't exist lol great video! the only fighting game i've played is mortal kombat, idk why i never thought there would also be anime fighting games out there. i'll be checking out fighter z after this!
