Straight forward instructions. Very nicely done. Just ordered the cable and now gonna order the GoPro clip that i have to have now, seeing it @ the end of the video. Also thanks for the extra free mods for vibration you created & suggested as well
Your hdmi cable just arrived and I have installed and done my first test flight. I purchased your hdmi cable as a last resort due to my video feed constantly scrolling badly vertically on my tablet, making my solo unusable for good video capture. THRILLED to say my first test flight with your HDMI cable the video was perfect on my tablet, no scrolling, and it was in very high winds I just flew. THANKS!

Great video and great product. I had to compliment you, I was not having video issues but ordered this for weight savings and I am very impressed. I ordered it last wed. (15th) and it arrived on Sat. (18th), installed easily and works perfectly, Thank You for a great product and excellent service!. Quick question... I noticed that when you lengthened the GPS cable that you removed the "ferrite" ring, did it improve the GPS function any?, my solo has a horrible time acquiring and keeping GPS lock. Thanks again!

For some reason, when my 3DR was automated to come home, it did not slow down on landing and took a very hard landing on pavement. The GoPro went flying out and I bent one of the feet but luckily I have the leg extenders. Everything seemed OK when I went to test it again but then when I went to make sure the Gimbal was not damaged, I took it apart. I noticed the rubber boot came out but that was it. I went back outside to try the 3DR and it said I needed an update so I updated. Then I was getting very bad live video. The recorded video was fine and it flew fine. I brought it back in and checked my HDMI connection again by taking off Gimbal. After that I had no live video at all. So now, I'm going to Best Buy to get a micro HDMI to full HDMI cable to test my GoPro. If that works I may see if there is an issue in the Gimball and if that isn't it, I will replace the cable as such in this video. Where do I get that ribbon cable? Also I would like that clip you manufactured. One other thing I worry about is taking the HDMI cable on and off again from the GoPro and I'm afraid the connectors will eventually ware out. I would like to be able to get the Micro_SD card out without unplugging any cables. Thank you for the video. Jack
I received the early version with right angle plugs. Can I exchange it for the updated straight plug version? By the way, I absolutely love the folding leg extensions, much more effective.
I installed the ribbon cable, put the moon jell, and I did not extend the gimbal wire and the vibration is better but still getting jitter. the gimbal itself makes a buzzing sound when centered. If I tap on it the sound goes away. I'm wondering if I just have a bad gimbal.
my gimbals hdmi is broken somehow. connecting my GoPro directly to the Solo gives me live feed but adding the gimbal gives me a black screen thats how I know my gimbals hdmi is faulty. basically what Im thinking of doing is buy the ribbon cable if you have one female and one male ends so I can connect one end(female of ribbon) to the stock hdmi cable(which is male) in the Solo then routing the other end of the ribbon outside the solo so I can connect it to the GoPro directly... Im guessing the ribbon is thin enough to squeeze through the gimbal cover and if I can get such cable Itd be no problem managing the cables angle going towards the GoPro without stressing the Gimbal too much. If these ribbon cables are soft enough for me to change the gimbals angles still then it might just work... or does any else have a fix for my broken gimbal hdmi?
Would this possibly be the cause of HDMI video feed absence? Would it be next best step (least cost) toward repairing a total loss of HDMI signal from Solo to the app? Bird flies great line of sight, all of the gimbal functions including REC in the app and the attitude functions of the gimbal are nominal. Tested the GP's HDMI signal at the HDMI cable connecter to PC and played back from the GP successfully. Any help and or guidance would be helpful.
Should bypass gimbal HDMI connection and connect the original micro HDMI directly to GoPro to see if you get video feed. Ribon wire inside gimbal does go bad sometimes or end connections have bad soder

Very helpful, but next time - Use a lens with a longer depth of field. Seeing things of this nature in focus can be rather important, you know.

Can you use a GoPro 5 Black and use the app?
My cable was bad from the first day - they eventually sent me a new one now all is good. to bad they are now out of business.
can I request the same cable but longer?
what moon gel should I get to further damper vibrations?
there is only 1 type of moongel. they are used by drummers to reduce vibrations. you can order them on Amazon.
It is made by RTOM. I picked up a pack at Guitar Center today for $7.
