Many of those who “fled” their “religions” are in search again. Some try to “escape” the complexity of their daily lives via various means. Those who had the chance to examine the Qur’an and Islam, proceed with a complete way of life that relates man to establish a purpose for his presence on earth. squirrels vary a lot. This must have been a juvenile or had some form of genetical deficiency. I think there is a lot of inbreeding among squirrels and some are born mentally handicaped. They dont have the normal heightened sense of fear and don't run away. This is how nature takes care of them.
it is an illusion to think human society is not scary. Very scary ! it's all corruption and false laws from top to bottom. You only realize when you get older.
Mustelids are the biggest badasses by far. No ambushing, no pack hunting, just 1v1 showdowns, often against animals 4x their size. They deserve way more respect
that is what inbreeding does.. seen it in real too. The squirrel has a mental handicap and does not know what's better for his safety. He tries but not very hard.
yeah I think thats a marten it looks to small to be a fisher cat theyre both cool i hadnt seen them both in the wild before this year i cant believe it got the squirrel though that was some insane 360 degree chase
That looked like a pine marten (American marten) not a fisher. Even if it was in Massachusetts, Wikipedia says they can be found as far south as New York state. It it small for a fisher/pekan. Cool video.
Last time I checked if you truly worshipped satan friend you guys have a set of guidelines from your leader one of them states roughly that don't bother those that have not bothered you so you obviously are a poser what did you listen to black veils brides and become a satanist or what's your motives friend?
The mustalidea family (weasels) are very formidable (wolverines and badgers are in this family) the fisher has rotating rear ankles along with retractable claws which enable it to adeptly climb headfirst down trees with great speed. Fishers are actually quicker than squirrels, that being said not sure if the squirrel would have any advantage going higher in the tree, fisher wouldn’t necessarily be afraid of falling since it could grasp any branches on the way down its fall and break its fall.
They also have this "hinge" like structure located in the lumbar vertebrae, that allows them to arch their backs in that accordion like manner, to facilitate quick tree scaling movements.
Good work, taking a video film w/out interfering with nature and it's way of continued existence as wild as it is.Humans are curious always, you can watch or film it,in a safe and non-interfering distance for both of you.Great job!
i once found a wild squirrel that behaved strangely, avoiding me but not really running away. Not running for its life up the tree but instead circling it exactly like this squirrel at a very low height. After a lengthy observation i concluded it had some genetical mental issue, probably from inbreeding. Predators can detect an unfit squirrel and will prey on it. I think this is what is happening in this video. An adult healthy squirrel would have run up and then jumped to another tree.
TheTrapper70 - True. That is a Pine Martin. Fishers are larger members of the Weasel Family next in size to the Wolverine (largest weasel). A Fisher Cat is the name given to a small member of the wild cat family that primarily eats fish.
I did a little research, and I think that is an American Marten, or 'Pine Marten". They are smaller than a Fisher cat, are often mistaken for the larger Fisher cat, and both live in the northern US & Canada.
Ah poor squirrel, she most likey had babies somewhere close or else she would've just bolted she was trying to either keep it from getting to it's drey/nest or not run to it's direction.
Fishers (or any member of the weasel family) are just all-around bad ass animals. When I was a kid living in Maine, I went night fishing for catfish with my dad and a few of his friends, and one of the guys saw what appeared to be a feral cat on the side of the road, as a Fisher weighs about the same as the average Tabby cat. So the guy lightly kicked it (thinking it might get run over by a car), and he quickly realized what he kicked was no cat, as the animal did a frenzied attack on the guy's boot, then it ran off into the brush. Years later I found out Fishers are closely related to the Wolverine, and that's when that incident made perfect sense lol.
Fishers are such cool predators. A shame that their original range was decimated by the fur trade and people exterminating them as pests. They prey on tons of small mammals, squirrel and porcupine populations exploded in their absence. They could also be added to the various predators that keep invasive house cats under control. Hopefully they can get reintroduced before our forests face any more ecological discord.
Dammmm!!!! they are hell of a good hunters, to good. think how many this does it take to clear the woods. well no more hunting for us. love them they are awesome, but too good.
These things were introduced in my state around 1975 and teh result has been disastrous...we have but a small population of rabbits of every kind, our hawks are all endangered-only about ten pair of the following types remain: Marsh harrier, Coopers, & the Goshawk...most of the neighborhood cats ahve disappeared..the black duck is vastly reduced as it is very vulnerable nesting in a thicket well away from water..virtually all sparrows, almost all the yellow shafted flickers, and many others.
I love both animals. But I do wish squirrels were a bit smarter so that during these moments they would know to climb higher and higher, to jump from tree to tree where fisher cats are less agile and acrobatic and fear falling that high up. But squirrels are frantic animals and their brains react for the moment not the long run, in these cases.
Ever wonder why squirrels chase each other around trees? Training.
FfejTball "That one didn't train hard enough😐."
Nah, they do that cause they’re pugnacious little rascals and like to bite. When there was west nile, they spread it among themselves worse than the mosquitos

The fisher had knocked him out from the tree tops .. squirrel landed hard right in front of me before I started recording … poor thing had no chance
One has to admire the fisher's persistence. Just goes to show that hard work pays off in the end.
Yep, martens(and it's related group) don't know the meaning of defeat. They will wear the prey down. They have great stamina.
If the Squirrel had more speed, stamina, and reflexes; persistence and hard work wouldn't have meant two shits for that hungry fisher.
Honestly, I don't admire the persistence of the fisher cats, especially when they eat our cats...
Take a like, anyway...
Hunger is a strong motivator.
@@michaelmoyo7250 I don't admire loose cats that prey on songbirds at the feeder either,BANG BANG kitty.Keep them inside.
No terrible music, horizontal recording n not bad quality. Great job excellent video I just can't fault it.

@@nancyclark7295 I dunno, the fisher looks way faster to me; It'll catch the thing if it runs in a straight line like you're suggesting.
@@matthewbadger8685 that literally makes no sense. That squirrel got away most of the time. his climbing tactics are ridiculous
@Michael F. Tommey lol 3 lives. Yes he is faster but I said the squirrel has insane climbing tactics
I've seen this on a couple of occasions while in my tree stand. You gotta be pretty damn good to out run a squirrel in the trees.

This was hilarious it looked like a cartoon chase

Also much better stamina than cats.

Very impressive, nice catch. Both the fisher AND the fact that you manage to snag this on video.
Im so out of shape right now I wouldn't have made it around the tree more than twice
Hehe, well done :-) Stupid squirrel doesn't climb higher up so the ermine wouldn't risk falling off, and would thereby be unable to spurt.

This was first thing in morning on a cranberry farm in carver ma
The cat had a super fast climb and not so fast around the tree as an advantage. Easy to see from far away.
It's a deadly game of death dance. Sometimes you win ( the squirrel gets to live another day ) , sometimes you lose ( the squirrel becomes cat food ).
this why nature is so beautiful
That little fisher moved fast, but it was amusing watching them go in circles.

I've always wondered why the squirrels don't go higher and from tree to tree for escape!
Because fishers can climb faster and outrun it. That's how this squirrel died, it tried going straight up at 1:14 and that was its fatal mistake
