Give that bassist some credit!
Mike Silence he's amazing, damn
Mike's Music
I've heard that the drummer is respected too!
He certainly earned it.
Hell yeah! Hes awesome!
He IS the anchor that let's J5 do his thing
John 5 is my favorite guitar player, unreal skills and creativity. Probably makes amazing riffs tying his shoe strings! Incredible how it’s never wank and always in service of a great song, the true hallmark of giants. Saw him live last summer and he almost blew the walls off the tiny club… motley doesn’t deserve you!
Wow, he is perfect at any music genre
John has inspired many Guitarists and has been through many up's and downs through out his career he is a pioneer and he has the Courage to Mix Styles off Music that many so called music hierarchy would never dare put together thank you John 5 thank you for the music brother you are one of the last real musicians on this fucked planet that has enough sense to play from the heart and FOR THE FUCKING LOVE OF THE MUSIC !!!!!!!!!!! they should listen and learn as this man has the courage to change styles and break all the so called rules in the world of music peace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HUGE sound - drum kit, bass, lead. Awesome.
Just saw his show here in the UK with the creatures. As good live as in studio. Played an Axe myself for 40 years and this guy impresses.
I always thought he was weird so I never paid attention to him. I started to seriously listen to John 5 and now he is my top 2 favorite.
Love you John 5!!!
Sana all
Oh my god he flies up and down that fretboard. I've been playing for years but I'd have to race to keep up!! Awesome!! 🙌
John 5 always has some ridiculously catchy melodies in his work. Really dig this rockabilly stuff. Think I hear a little bit of possibly Paul Gilbert in some of those riffs
Bob Saget he does mention his licks sounding like something Paul gilbert would do so I’m guessing he’s one of his influences
He also regularly mentions heehaw as a reference
Tim Yarber Yeah, I think his Sugarfoot Rag video is a huge reference to it, with the whole TV head thing going on
Lovin it, John's amazing!
Talent extraordinaire, bar none. Mr 5, sir, what makes you stand out aside your other guitar maestro peers, and your ultra talented compositions,... is that you, sir, are a genuine, down to earth, get down mthrfKr. Talent from the gods, but above all, you are a real human being. I have watched your reels extensively. Please never change, my friend. I hope to catch you in Houston, TX this year(2018). Please come. If you do, I am bringing my wife, my daughter and my son-in-law - BIG FANS! Keep kick'n our asses. Sugar Foot rag -omg.
Awesome!!!!
I want to whole heartedly encourage this endeavor. Black Grass Kicks Ass
Man thank goodness for you. I mean it i love bluegrass and metal and I used to play with the old timers Just at parks and shit but most of them have passed. But you brought it back to life with a vengeance and the way you changed your instruments reminds me of Joe Maphis Fire on the strings my favorite. And he switches with the banjo and fiddle.
Felix FIRE ON THE STRINGS ! that's one all musicians should hear . thanx
Great! One of my favourite guitar player of all times..greetings from KK Sabah,Malaysia🇲🇾🇲🇾🤘🎸🎸
It don't get better than this.
genius !
Really good
Awesome
John 5 will always be a Legend 🎸
He is a total badass!
That was a fun listen!
todo un espectáculo el verlo tocar.....
It’s just one amazing riff after another.
Ultimate cool guitar guy nailing them sweeps looking like a sexy scarecrow. John 5 ladies and gentleman.
same old story...after watching anything John 5 I just say good GOD
Jaco would be proud of that Bassist
John 5 may be the best guitarist out there today any genre, bar none.
He's fuckin' good but he's no Guthrie Govan

Not my style of music, but I can surely appreciate a maestro when I see one.
Bluegrass is my style of music. I never thought I'd hear it played quite like this.
MrDavee1 legend.. who played guitar antichrist marilyn manson
Anybody who has attempted to play the guitar can appreciate John 5 for how excellent he is. But I'd rather listen to something more melodic, like Lindsey Buckingham or Nancy Wilson. But that's my personal opinion and mine is worth no more than anyone else's opinion, except maybe for Lindsey's or Nancy's opinions.
its official john 5 is my idol
Nice
Sounds like a video game music.
nik lev it reminds me of Castlevania at times.
รักป๋าjohn5
I new I heard some blue grass in your style
Damn, hes not really my cup of tea, but hes probably one of the best when it comes to originality.
Sugarfoot rag?
They always sound spot on live. Bottom line, a rhythm guy can't play with a John 5 if he isn't really good at what he does. Same deal with VH etc.
If you want to compare this to something it would be black mountain rag, or for a quick rendition brian setzer's guitar rag. This is so bad ass
pretty sure he's a fucking demon! but I fucking love him.
gordenalbert demons are the best
Thought I've haven't seen this. But I commented on the gem 3 yrs ago. Once to cool. Scary cool.
J5 is the best!
John 5 is like 2018 Rush...anything goes with talent.
Damn John5 is incomparable to others.... Like Hendrix, well almost Hendrix...
omg
J 5 is the real fucking deal...
From which game is it?
Gosh. I always come back to give it another try... I never could appreciate John's stuff. I don't like that fuzzed out bumble bee picking up and down the neck stuff... I know he's great and respected and accomplished.
Ha I've been trying to dial in that gain tone he uses for his fusion non-metal songs because I love it. He uses very typical pedals per rig rundown I saw on here so idk
Anything with strings.
I wonder if John can play the harp?
54 seconds in I've already heard most of this song on previous albums. It's a shame that his first 3 albums were bangers, and since then I've not heard anything worthwhile. Just mindless twiddling through the verse, licks I've heard before (sometimes more than once), and no real feel, just notes. I miss the old John.
I didn't know a Fender could take that.
ikr
Never underestimate a Telecaster. Even true single coil Telecasters rock in metal
I hated Fender till I tried them. Now I have 3, 2 being teles :)
what are you like 12?
I actually like this better at .75 speed
Ho
Lee
Fuk!!
en asturies nun vales ni pa takos...
I like country and I thought that was just fine guitar playing. Some people just got no class.
john 5 plays some badass bluegrass. you definitely should check it out
This is not actually meant for listening?
talented player but not music that i want to ever hear again
Watch it john, the girls are losing interest once you pick up the banjo lol
..now if this young fella would jus get hisself a proper stage name...something like slim pickens maybe..
No doubt he’s talented but it just sounds like a 1980s video game to me.
a donde va el punteo, es un sin sentido de tecnica...que solo conduce a un kaos sin melodia...apredote a tocar. cuando k8
Beck, Clapton, Page, Bonamassa........move over and get out of the way....you have just been bested (by John 5)
Not a fan of all solo songs
Gay
Your mom's gay.
Too technical and cold,,, and very mechanical,, this is why Jimi hendrix is still the best, he was so unpredictable, and non mechanical unlike these people like john 1,2,3,4,5,6 etc,,, lol
His fast runs are sloppy af. Dissapointed after all I heard about the guy.
