Holy shit what did I just witness???!!! We all know John slays it no doubt, but that bass player and drummer are so tight and in synch it's down right amazing. They all just melt together. Un-frickin-believable. Alchemy and sorcery couldn't but a group together like this. Awesome John, just awesome.
I've been playing/watching guitarists for 45 years and seen many styles and talents...but I still see a few new techniques every now & then that John 5 slips into his riffs/solos and I just think it's great! Or - he is great(!) Nice intelligent guy, too. And check out how relaxed and fluid his comping and solos are even in this live situation...no worries, no gaps, no boinkers...not a single fault to be heard in his playing!
John 5 loves his guitar more than I love mine, I thought that was impossible. My friends make fun of me cuz I'm always with mine. I don't "practice". I play and jam. I'd love to meet john5 and just pick his brain. From what I've heard he is a true gentleman and extremely humble. That is a rare quality in the music industry, especially someone with his skill

I'm on old disabled veteran who has been playing guitar since 1978, up until a few years back when my body finally said that's it for you old man and took my guitar playing away for good. Now I'm stuck at home watching stuff like this and wishing I could still play. it's because of your video that if John 5 ever comes near Denver, I don't have a clue how I'm going to do it because I can't stand up to watch a show, but I sure as hell am going to try my ass off to go see him. This was just other world guitar. Just amazing. Thanks for posting your video.
