Hey, hopefully someone will see this comment before they ask where the bass is again... thanks to all of you who were curious. I was sick! I had to miss a few shows for the first time since we started doing J5 solo tours (I've always at least tried to get on stage and see how long I last!) I'm back and booming again. Hopefully not too booming, though. I like midrange. The guys killed it as always while I was out and they had some funky circumstances to deal with for this one from what I heard!

He’s good but not anywhere near the best. Listen to Guthrie Goven or Max Ostro, or Steve Vai. John’s good but I have been in numerous bands with dudes as good as him if not better. It’s not that uncommon these days. But he absolutely is a exceptional player.
I saw him at the Ramona MainStage ( very small venue ) and when his set was done, he was walking offstage and I told him thanks man ! He then handed me his pick ! And said “ My Pleasure “ I’ll never forget it. Very cool dude !
I Sat next to John and his wife on a flight from LaGuardia to LAX years ago. As much as I wanted to ask a million questions and BS with him, I gave them their space. Said a couple hellos and that was is it. In my opinion, he's one of the greatest living guitarists today. Dude is underappreciated. Hard to Showcase skills playing Zombie songs. Not that zombie songs are bad.

Saw John 5 open for Queensryche few years back and admit had no idea of what to expect and was literally blown away by his high level talent. Everyone should see this dude live at least once. Great show and his playing ability is only outdone by his own amazing humility and gratitude.

JOHN5 is the whole package..and seems like a genuine great guy. Took my wife and sister to see him in concert, they werent familiar with him and it wasnt the wifes type of music..they absolutley loved the show. Total beast
Tele's have probably been used in 70% of popular guitar music. They are far more prevalent than you think. Probably the most versatile guitar in history. Just because your favorite guitar slinger is known for playing a Les Paul or a Strat doesn't mean he/she used that in the studio on your favorite song. You'd be surprised to find Tele's where you thought there was something else.

I saw him a few years back in Lebanon NH. Best show I have ever been to. It was 5 and the Creatures, with Jared James Nichols opening. Oh what a night. Front row center. Great players.

I saw Rob Zombie (with John 5) open for Ozzy in the late 00s. I was so excited to see Zakk Wylde for the first time, and while he was good, my lasting memory of the show is just how unbelievable John 5 was.
in order for him to able to switch between riffs and dial in the actual artists feel is what is truly amazing about John. On a dime I might add! As a drummer I know that if I’m playing VH I’m thinking Alex and his feel. To be able to switch to different artists and get their groove right and how close you can come to their energy is the challenge. You can also tell that although he was already a smokin hot guitarist he is constantly challenging himself. This is what makes legends..
I was at the show in Montreal just recently! I got to meet John 5 & Ian Ross & the drummer.! Great guys !John said He loves Montreal & always come back! Great show!!
