- In this video we will learn how to check K1 visa statuses At NVC . In Transit, Ready, Visa Issued, Visa Refused and administrative Processing.
visa refusal under section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) means the applicant did not establish eligibility for a visa to the satisfaction of the consular officer, as is required under U.S. law, specifically section 291 of the INA. When an applicant is refused under 221(g), it means the consular officer determined that the applicant was not eligible for a visa after completing and executing the visa application and any required interview. It is possible that a consular officer will reconsider a visa application refused under 221(g) at a later date, based on additional information or upon the resolution of administrative processing, and determine that the applicant is eligible. When a consular officer refuses a case under 221(g), she or he will convey to the applicant whether the applicant is required to provide any further documentation or information, or whether the case requires additional administrative processing.

Great video! I had the same question and confusion w selecting the non immmigrant type. I ended up thinking they made a mistake and considered my case as spousal. Quick question, How long it takes for the case status change from Ready to something that sends you the interview appointment date? and if you receive that email, does that come with the actual appointment date or I have to schedule on their website?
They will send you the date of interview. If you are doing k visa you must schedule the interview
For k1 visa, When the case shows ready, do you wait for the embassy to send you an email first or do you complete ds160 and pay the fee and they will notify you to schedule the appointment?
Complete ds 160 but do nt submit it get i134 ready and wait for confirmation from consulate to schedule interview
What happens if I submitted ds 160 before receiving an email from the consulate and how long should we wait for the email from the consulate..thank you

What about if fiance visa still at processing center how do you check. How long does processing take to transfer over to the NVC ? What is the average time for the fiance visa from start to finish.

We got email and letter that our case for K1 visa was sent to the Embassy. It is been 2 months now. Should we submit 160 or still wait for to the next step? Because we were told that wait for the email from embassy.
Get it ready and wait for confirmation from consulate
My case is ready since 19 January and was updated 12 February and Just updated on this past 12 June but no welcome letter yet and no response from them yet too we have filed our ds 160 form paid our fees and created our portal but no appointments dates available please sir do you know why?
Hello my fiance had an interview today. The officer did not specify the result but told my fiance that she will receive an email about the result later and check ceac regularly. After two hours, we saw that ceac status was changed from ready to approved. The embassy keeps my fiancé’s passport. Do you have any idea what it is going on and what we should do? We submitted two separate i-134 (myself and my aunt) because I am a student and do not meet the criteria. But the worker stated that my aunt’s files are not necessary. I am wondering if this would affect our application. Thank you in advance.

Hello I have a question, I had the interview and they returned my passport to me and gave me a 221g because I had to take the medical exam again. I took it and now the case status says issued is this ok? How will they stamp my passport if I have it ?
Check email they will tell you to deliver the passport to them
Hello, we got email from the nvc that our case have been transfer to US consulate general. So we completed and submitted the ds160. But now we don't know if we should still wait for appointment letter from embassy before making payment for visa. Pls help!!
Are you on K1visa?our noa2 was forwarded to consulate too.uscis didn't forward our case to nvc...they said we should wait for our case to be ready to schedule the medical and interview
sir please help me out i got my interview letter on 26 january my interview is on 14 march i am facing trouble on us travel docs website i have created the profile there using principle applicant details i am facing problem in particular section manage dependents so i have 3 dependents on me i am the principle applicant so my question is that i have to add / create dependents and fill up their information by myself or they reflect by themselves automatically (so i dont need to add them) as my visa type is f4 brother and sisters of us citizen

After interview he ask me my Fiancé original divorce degree I have only copy her divorce degree and visa Officer give 221g white paper and say me submit original divorce degree and ur passport. After 20 days I submitted original divorce degree and passport...and after 1 month embassy send my all documents back my home and show my visa status returned to NVC....we dnt understand what happened. Our case is very strong...we everything is original...we worry ..why embassy doing like that...

Fioe ds160 and i134 but do submit ds160 until you get confirmation from consulate

@@usimmigrationhelp7335 Hii my fiancé had an interview a week ago and the consulate literally told him his visa is approved on top of that gave him a letter on instructions to receive his passport and visa once ready. Couple days after I checked the status and it says refused. This is after the consulate already told my fiancé that his visa was already approved. He needs his passport to get back home since he does not live in Senegal where they sent him for the interview. Also what can we do in this case? We are very confused.
