How to move to New York and not fail

- New York is notoriously one of the most difficult places to move to. So this is my intentional plan to have a smooth transition into the city without facing some of the horror stories I've heard about. I'll bring you along for the ride and share the changes I make and what I would have done differently from my plan. Leave me any advice in the comments, I would love to hear it!

I don't have a whole guide when I moved to NYC, but I first had a job secured. From there, I contacted friends and family that were also living there and linked up with them. They gave me advice about good areas, safety, etc. If you are looking for a 1-year lease and need time to apartment hunt, you can rent through Airbnb in the Brooklyn area for 1 - 1.5k per month to give you breathing room.
As far as making friends/community, definitely look into joining clubs, sports teams, etc. There is something happening every night in NYC, but you need to find your herd of people, or it can be lonely just like any other place. Cheers

Do you feel it could be the hardest place you've moved to.. Everything is so fast there.. I left there for more space and a balanced life...
I think it is the hardest city that I’ve made a move to. Usually I move abroad to places where my life will be slower and more balanced, so this is a big change for me, going head first into chaos and grind, but I feel like it’s what I need in this chapter of my life 🤍🤍
