I miss this game. I probly logged a good thousand laps of the ring in pgr2, then 3 was amazing with the incar view, and 4 brought weather and bikes! Oh, and bikes dont turn as fast as cars, thats why they feel "heavy" to the reviewer. Why did they ever give up on this franchise?! It pwns nfs!
this was the best non-sim game ever. it's funny how the review says 'it fails to break any sort of new ground' when the games coming out NOW still don't have a lot of the stuff you see in here. specially funny how he praises forza 2 which was a pretty much a slightly improved version of forza 1 ported to the xbox360. an in fact i liked forza 1 better. forza only caught this level of polish in the 4th installment (even though i liked all forza games to date)
"The audio isn't quite as sharp"?! This game has some of the most realistic car sounds I've ever heard. They recorded the sounds the same way they did in Forza 4. But I like the sound in PGR4 most because cars don't sound as overdone and distorted as they do in Forza 4. Bizarre Creations, we seriously miss you!
Even though this game was released almost 4 years ago, you can't deny that the visuals are still quite stunning. Weather effects are still top of the class and the location... MAN! those are STUNNING! I'm just hoping, that one day i'll be reading news about PGR5 and about when it'll be released. Just hope that they won't change driving mechanics! Now i need to go and cruise around Nürburgring... See ya! =)

I own a couple of the bikes featured - Ducati 998 and MV F4 (the standard 1000R though, rather than the Senna edition). When it's raining outside I can ride them on PGR :) The only minus is the sound of the bikes is not very realistic, but graphically it's stunning! You can pick it up for about £3 nowadays which is an absolute steal..
we need another racing game that is the equivalent of PGR, I love the fact that it's ardcade mixed with sim, miss these games, I was hoping Driveclub would be sony's PGR, but....sadly....no dice.

I would have awarded this game 9.4 out of 10. The graphics, the game play, the challenges...its all so slick. The bikes are great fun too. Everything is so beautifully balanced. Racing through city streets that detailed still looks incredible 4 years on. Maybe Turn 10 will take up the mantle and give us PGR5 for the next Xbox!

Same bizarre got bought by activision just to be defunked. PGR series truly has the perfect feel to me. Im not the biggest fan of sim racing but I like the middle ground mix.

For instance it had a free run mode where you can just drive around an area of the city. Then there where the real radio stations that can play music from your Xbox library that was removed in the later games.

I NEED HELP! When I set up a custom match to race against the AI.., I cannot change camera views. I've gone back and forth between ANY and DASH ONLY on the advance settings.., but everytime the race starts it will not allow me to change camera view. Is this a bug.., and if it is has it been patched.?.?
@topografer Chances are, the next PGR will fail. After all. Bizarre Creations has been bought out by Activision, and that destroys any chance of the next game being good. Hopefully Turn 10 might be able to changes things for the better.
Either Gran Turisimo needs to add motorcycles in GT 6 or Forza needs them in Forza Horizon. If either of them did that, boom, game if the year. Right there. Just like that.

A lot of the guys from Bizarre Creations have gone to Playground Games who work now with Turn 10 Studios, who create the Forza Motorsport series.
