He does them just the way people want. Floss knows his stuff. He's diligent. But goodness me, what a fabulous SOH to go with it. A mixture of pure enlightenment and entertainment. Brilliant channel - early follower here. SO2WS (guess?!) 😻
I turn it on before bed. Fall asleep. Wake up to get a drink and Floss is still talking about something I didn't want to buy. Next day I find myself on an order confirmation page and can't figure out why I'm there.
I recently switched over from the iPhone 14 Pro Max to the S23 Ultra and the experience has been great. Considering this is the first Android phone I use since I had to return my Note 7. Feels good to be back.
The thing I will always respect about Flossy reviews is that you always give us the real world application alongside the tech nerd application. I find a lot of reviewers struggle finding that balance coz they always focus on some of the bells and whistles that the average user won't care for. But to be able to have both that aspect as well as the real world day to day use aspects shows the full picture 🙏🏿
Something I would like to see on the s-pen is a microphone. Imagine recording a video and being able to use the s-pen as a wireless mic, or even being able to use it like a voice assistant remote control similar to a Chromecast or Fire Stick.
Agreed! I don't understand how the prices on these phones keep going up but we continue to get less. For what they charge, these phones should come as a complete package (i.e. case, screen protector, dongle, charger, cable, extended memory capable, removable battery).
Considering the first ever "cell phone" was like 4 or 5 grand and made by motorola with only calling capabilities we are pretty spoiled lol. Plus with the trade in deals are pretty good.
@@ncorvellithats a pretty dumb argument. Better to compare with smartphones in the last 5 to 10 years. That's like saying the first pc was the size of a room now you can fit it on your desk well no shit
@@Ghenjiro I haven't got the flip or really used it, but I'm certain the s23 ultra is a better phone in every way apart from not being able to fold in to a tablet
For me the S23 Ultra was a big upgrade just for the battery alone because I went from having 0% to 10% battery life left when leaving work.....To having 30% to 50% battery life left when leaving work..... And the standby time alone has improved tremendously
The battery life is insane difference!! I used to get 5 hours screen on time with my 22 ultra. I now get 8 hours with 30% left at the end of the day. Easy upgrade 👌
Same. I'm in the UK and assume everyone outside north america sees this as a huge upgrade for that snapdragon chip and its efficiency. Using the same apps on my s22u, the phone used to get noticably warm, on android auto or when charging it would get very warm and games would stutter or drop fps quite clearly, the battery lasted 4-5hrs max screen on time, honestly I regretted preordering. Oh and emulation of ps2 games was basically a non-starter. On the s23u, none of the above is a concern. One day I took my phone off charge at 5pm and forgot to charge it overnight, with my normal use it was down to 20% when I charged it the following night at 11pm. It lasted well over 24hrs. And no games stutter at all, phone doesnt even get hot, I can leave it in my pocket when I drive and use android auto and youtube music for long drives too. This phone is an upgrade for us. Its a gamechanger. I just dont know if I love samsung for doing it or hate them for leaving us with an inferior product for so long.
Yo Floss. Thought I'd let you know, I bought the same phone twice. A couple of days ago, I traded-in my S22U for the S23U! Watching your reviews, helped me in the decision making process. I've been upgrading every year since the Note8. But I think this S23U is gonna be a keeper for several years!👍
This review confirmed that I got the right phone. I had the S22 Ultra on my carrier and loved it but was forced to switch companies because my carrier was on some BS. I was willing to stick with the 22 ultra, but the 23 ultra was all that was available. A year later and I'm still satisfied with this phone. I love your reviews, Floss!
WOW what else can I say that hasn’t been said about Flossy’s videos? From start to finish this review was packed with humour, wit and clarity. Also he speaks the language that ‘ordinary’ people understand. Other top reviewers seriously need to watch Floss’s reviews and take notes. But, then again, no one else can pull it off the way he does. Anyone could regurgitate specs and benchmarks which, tbh, I find repetitive and boring. I wouldn’t worry about the video being long as he can pretty much talk all day and his audience will still be captivated. I’m more of an Apple/iOS person due to being so steeped in the Apple ecosystem but I think most people will agree the S23 Ultra has completely raised the bar when it comes to phone design/functionality/ergonomics etc. Thanks for keeping your reviews original and your audience informed and entertained.
I normally don’t comment on any videos, but this man floss really put so much love and care in these videos! 2 hour videos feel like 2 minutes cuz that’s how much fun I be having. Love your content Floss! Shoutouts from Canada 🫡 🇨🇦
@@FlossyCarter Hey Floss, would you say that the S23 Ultra is as smooth or lag free as the Pixel 7 Pro? I am in need of an upgrade over my S21 Ultra device right now since it's been paid off hahaha!
@@FlossyCarter I am in a Dilemma Between the Zfold 5 or the S 23 ultra Witch one should I get Pls? I had the Z Fold 4 and I love that phone. Thanks For the Vids
I remember getting my Note 10+,it came with the super fast charging brick, the cable and some wired headphones. Still currently rocking that phone. Had the Note 4 in the past, absolutely loved that phone, it came with everything in the box,and it had the AR blaster.
I agree Note 4 was a GREAT phone and my Note 10+ was a pretty good phone. My S 22 Ultra came with nothing but a cable and short battery life. Really miss my 10+.
Floss, personally, I didn't mind waiting for the Snyder cut & I don't mind the long videos. It is such a pleasure listening to someone who really enjoys what he's doing. You are very enjoyable to watch & listen for me it's like sitting and listening to a good friend. I've also UPDATED from S22 Ultra, but you're right: work hard, play even harder. We only live once, but we must live good. Thanks Floss for your effort delivering this high quality movie, will follow every single video from now on as well. Much respect! 👊✊️
Legendary review. Some other so called tech reviewers are really just spec providers with some basic opinions. Floss takes his time, uses the phone to find out its flaws and what is great, and really goes into detail. This is a proper review from real world experience. That's why so many people have been waiting for it. Cheers Floss.
Upgraded to S23U from an S20+. Absolutely love the phone. It's a little heavy but apart from that no complaints at all. Really love th 2k 120hz screen. It's so damn good. Awesome camera, decent battery life. So glad that I didn't switch to S22U last year. This is a "refined" version on the S22U, and the refinements are practical.
Flossy, this review has made me realise just how special this particular device is, I usually get bored of my upgrades after a couple of weeks, but with the s23ultra and after your review it's almost like going on a honeymoon every month. This is definitely a keeper. Stay safe big boss floss, shout out to shoes, 😊❤
Picked up an S23U after tossing between Pixel 9 pro and S24U, wanted to stick with Samsung but didn't want either pricetag. I just realised the last 4 phones I've owned I only chose because I watched these 'real feel' reviews for each phone, and uncle Spurt. I have a couple of other channels I go to sure but these Snyder cuts are the private tour of all reviews. I don't have 2-3 phones on the go these days but I love these vids and Floss is so entertaining and informative I will watch one just to get my phone fix. + kitty!
The OLED could act as a notification LED, OLEDs can turn individual pixels on, and off. They can implement this easily via software update. I always wondered why this hasn't been done yet
@@343Epsilon on my OnePlus 9 pro edge lighting doesn't work on the always-on display, or when the screens off it only works if you have your notifications wake your screen
@@jamesbp yea it's no replacement at all, would be easy to do as tons of apps do it already. Wouldnt impact battery life either I would imagine. Here's hoping
I went from a Note 20 ultra to the s23 ultra and it is a very noticeable upgrade, especially with camera and battery life. I found myself having to top up my note 20 ultra throughout the day, not with my S23 Ultra lasts a long time, I'm actually averaging two days on a charge!
This is what I can't decide on. It's gonna take a damn near perfect phone to get my Note 20 Ultra out of my hands. I don't see enough so far to warrant the switch. What else is better than the longer battery?
@Stach23 the screen is qhd+ and it has a lot more ram and the base model storage is 256gb. Camera and battery are improved. Idk I just got mine today and it's flawless
I miss the ir blaster on Samsung phones too! Glad to hear I'm not the only one! Expandable storage also never should have been taken away. We understand it may not be as fast as the internal storage but give the customer the option to use if needed!
A few years ago, you convinced me enough to become a Samsung knight in the Note 9. I've had that phone until now. Congratulations, you have convinced me (again) to finally upgrade to the S23 Ultra.
Same, just upgraded from Note 9 to S23U. There were quite a few things that I was impressed with such as the battery life and processing speed. I no longer need to have battery anxiety and can play games on my phone smoothly without the phone overheating. Though, there's some things that I don't like about the camera like the focus at close range, and the auto editing done to the photos after taking it.
Thanks for this review Senor Carter. I got the phone and can't be happier. it had been 5 years that I got a new phone so going from a A20 to S23 Ultra is a hell of a difference. Thank you your review answered a lot of questions and I made the decision to get it.
The improvements to the battery life, and form factor were easily worth the upgrade for me. Phone doesn't burn my man's when I'm running Fan Duel either like my S22 did.
Samsung would do well to really pay attention to Floss. He is LITERALLY the voice of the Samsung Knights. Also, if you make a phone @FlossyCarter, I'm definitely buying it!
I been waiting for this review like a big budget movie release. Floss could of release a trailer for this thing and I’d be all over it lol. Love the content brother 🙌
The S23 Ultra is an awesome phone. I had planned on upgrading to the S23+ but like you said in the video, you gotta treat yourself to something nice. The 256 gbs I felt was fine with me. I did have 128 gigs on my old phone and I barely used half of that. Perhaps a little more storage then I need but in case I need it it's there for me to use.
I just got this phone on Friday, and I love it. I had the 22 Ultra with t-mobile, but they've been screwing up since the Sprint merge. I switched to AT&T and got the 23 Ultra. I was an iPhone user for years and wasn't impressed with the 14 Pro Max. I only had the 22 Ultra for a couple of months, but I LOVED it. I definitely feel like the 23 Ultra is a great upgrade. The biometrics work much better than the previous model for sure.
iOS has been feeling real stale to me lately. Went ahead and "upgraded" from a 12 Pro Max to this thanks impart to how fired up Floss be getting. I'm digging it so far.
@@TeejayLeigh Most definitely. There are some things that I'm still getting used to though. The keyboard still feels very different. And as someone who was / is heavy in the Apple ecosystem there are some things I miss. But as a standalone device and experience it's totally superior IMO.
This is where I am (12 pro max) and want to to try something different.. how is the security? Really don’t want to leave iOS if my phone can be spied and picked apart.. have you any issues there?
I literally never buy any fancy products Floss put up(not a techo guy, still lingers on 6 y old phone), but kept watching his contents for hours daily! His skits are like some daiydose of a long-run series of sitcom that you felt something amiss in daily life should you missed an episode or two. That shows the magnificent charisma vibes his speeches oozing up and kept us hooked!
You're the best most honest tech reviewer on UA-cam. I didn't think I'd watch this whole video but I ended up watching it. I don't think I could watch anyone else's 2 hour video on a phone lol
The only real and objective review out there, I mean you cover so many things that are important in day to day use, and thank you for that, Floss ! Companies should pay attention as most of us, users, have the same complaints ! PS I thought I was the only one who doesn't know how to put screen protectors without that annoying little wobble/air beneath it 😀 Ruins the experience but, hey, broken/scratched screen ruins it even more !
Man regardless of my intention to actually buy the next new shiny thing on the block, an FC review is always worth knowing what's out there. "Took my glasses off and almost passed out". Always loved his style of delivery and review; his audience even has its own understood canon, jargon, and references.
The S23 Ultra is the most futuristic phone design in the market. I decided to refurbish my S21 Ultra though. New battery came rails and display. I'm waiting for Samsung to put a 1 inch sensor in then I'm all in.
Still rockin' my S22 Ultra, wifey went from Google 6 Pro to the S23 Ultra... broooo I like all the subtle differences. Definitely feels better in the hand with the flatter body. Forget everything else, that alone made me wanna upgrade, but I wanna cop the next Fold. Waiting patiently to experience my 1st fold.
I’m a guy who only upgrades every few years, so I’m not watching videos on tech or phones much but I always go to flossy whenever I’m looking at anything. Have been since I was like 13 getting my first iphone😂 switching back over to samsung after a few iphones so I had to come see what was up. But I just wanted to say I’m always happy to see floss still in the game. Always appreciate the realness. Also hope you’re hype for mortal kombat 1 my man, it’s looking🔥🔥
Samsung has insisted on offering the 256 GB version because of the UFS 4.0, the 128 GB version only supports UFS 3.1. An upgrade very few are talking about, better and faster processing data and I think one of the highest points compared to the S22 Ultra. But yeah, it should be a 128 GB version anyways to give people options to buy. Great video as always, still watching🤪📱
@stinkinlincoln926 oh, you will. Reading and transfering data with UFS 4.0 has doubled the previous UFS 3.1, meaning better and faster transfering files between the phone and plugged to a PC. Installing apps is faster, moving files (specially big ones, 200 megapixel pictures and 8K videos). Moreover, the battery life of the S23 Ultra is better than the S22 Ultra because the power eficiency of UFS 4.0. I don't want to contradict my boy Floss on here, it could be a good update or a small upgrade, whatever depends of how you look at it. Both phones are amazing, but UFS 4.0 is definitely better than previous UFS 3.1.
What annoys me is that everyone has forgotten that Samsung doubled the storage without raising the price. Oh let's not forget all the bitching that 128g isn't enough storage from last year. Geez, why not a 64g version?
Just bought my S23 Ultra from Samsung UK with £200 cashback, as a treat to myself. I also have the S20FE 5G and that phone is great. Surprisingly there is not much difference in size between the phones with their cases on. I like the Samsung eco system. For storage I have a couple Samsung T7 1TB, and one is touch. I also have the SanDisk Ultra USB Type-C memory sticks. I remember buying my old S8 and that came with earphones a couple of dongles the power adapter and USB-C cable. The only thing I added separately was the case and microSD memory card. The S20FE at least had the charger in the box and pre installed screen protector. Still the Ultra covers my needs.
Very interesting review. Floss is definitely becoming the philosopher of the 21st century cellphone. I particularly like the way Samsung could improve its products with flat screens and a decent presentation at retail level with full accessories included in the package. With the amounts charged this is a must.
BRUHHHH I was going through some old boxes the other day and actually found my HTC Evo 4g and it's crazy because I bought that phone because of you. That was my first Android phone coming from a sidekick you know the struggles my contract with them was up and I needed something new. Great vid with the Snyder cut like you said we not buying all these phones but you provide the most entertainment and been doing it for years so salute!
Just got the S23 Ultra. I upgraded from the S20FE. Already got the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Gotta compartmentalize between work and personal life. Battery wise, The iPhone battery life is crazy compared to the S23. In a six hour stretch, web browsing messaging, emails and other things. The iPhone was still at 94% while the S23 U was at 81%. The iPhone still my go to, but the S23 is way more customizable, and fun.
My God, I love this man. I rarely laugh out loud when viewing a UA-cam video, but Floss is so real and in-the-moment that he makes me literally LAUGH! OUT! LOUD! Feels good to laugh. So little to be happy about, these days.
Love these long reviews. Absolutely worth giving a listen for those who might be on the fence or are currently shopping around. You can't find this level of detail in any other review
Another thing I'd like to add is since the update to OneUI 5.1, my battery life on my S22U is substantially better and I mean 6.5 to 7hrs of screen on time in a 21hr time frame, better. I was getting closer to 5.5-6hrs of SOT in that same length of time, depending on how much Spotify streaming I was doing.
1:29:12 As someone who labored over the decision of buying this phone it was very helpful to go through all the phone case options and find the case that was best for me. The series of videos were incredibly helpful and it has now turned me into a student of Caseology 😂 Thanks Flossy, I have my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 5Gansta Alpha Omega Supreme AKA Galactus 2.0 with the Spigen cases and I am loving it! Thanks for everything you do! #slamboycertified
I don't watch all of your videos at all, barely any these days, but when I'm seriously considering a new phone, you're always the first I search for, no one does it better! you're the man Floss!
I noticed when Floss recommended the S23 for the iPhone mafia he listed Samsung DeX, S-Pen, Multi-Tasking and if he wanted to, multiple media Bluetooth output, USB-C and wide variety of USB-C compatible devices, reverse wireless charge/45w fast charge, physical SIM card, an actually dynamic island that is not a giant permanent camera hole plopped on your screen taking up real estate etc etc But then when he recommends iPhone to the Samsung Knights, it's like.... It's just good, it's dope, thrust me... Ecosystem and such(which is second to Samsung BTW but still).
I upgraded from 22ultra to 23ultra it was not much of an upgrade in terms of features but for the price ($250) after discounts and trade in it was a good deal
i think its a good upgrade especially overtime because of the battery life and 8 gen 2 is a lot future proof than 8gen1...and the camera is perfect...now in 2024 i would say s23 from s22 is more of an upgrade than the s24 from s23 even after seeing those AI features. and they even downgraded the zoom in the s24 ultra. the only thing that can favor the s24 ultra upgrade is the Flat display only.
Usually I upgrade every 2 years, but with the s22 ultra I decided to upgrade to the s23 ultra. And for me this is the best upgrade in years. In Europe we had the exynos for years which really is trash. Huge performance upgrade with snapdragon. No more overheating, throttling, lag and the increase in battery life is insane. Cameras/speakers way better as well. Traded in my s22 ultra and only had to pay $450. 1000% worth it for me.
It's crazy how they charged $450 to upgrade this year but prior years when the phones they were selling were trash they only charged $200 to upgrade. It's almost like they knew the phone that they were selling was not a good product so they didn't charge as much. But this year they know they have a winner. So they're going to milk it out of you with lesser trade-in deals because they know you're going to want it more
Same situation. This one feels way better out of the box. S22u exynos was laggy, ran hot, and had mediocre battery life since day one. It did improve with updates, but not nearly enough for the price.
I traded my Fold 3 for the S23U, and omg. Best battery upgrade ever! Not only do I actually make it through a workday, and make it through an entire day and almost a half. It feels so good to not have to worry about being near a charger every few hours.
So true! Same here! After the screen cracked on my Fold3 it was like carrying a boring hot brick around that was just draining battery. I noticed the battery life when I got my S23 Ultra and especially after the recent software update, I noticed the battery life improved even more. Congrats on your new S23 Ultra! 🙂
@@xpusostomos Probably manufacturer warranty but I didn't wanna deal with sending the phone in. Also, others who have had the same issue said that Samsung considers it as normal wear and tear and would charge to replace/repair. I had it starting Sept. 2021 and in July 2022 the screen cracked. But honestly, with experiencing that, I don't believe in the Fold anymore. I'm more happy with my S23 Ultra because I'm originally a Note fan. 🙂
@@kathykim9816 oh. I've never bought because I'm skeptical about how robust it is, but they advertise 100,000 folds so I don't know how they can claim wear and tear. Here in Australia by law 2 years is considered bare minimum warranty for a phone
@xpusostomos Yeah. Don't buy it. I have a friend that bought the Fold2 and after playing with her phone I decided I was going to get the Fold3 when it released. She uses her phone heavily and pretty much kept her phone open all the time and it also cracked down the middle. I honestly thought that Samsung would've fixed that issue by the time the Fold3 came out but nope, I was wrong. So I was stuck with that phone till now. I will never believe in any foldable phone unless it's an old granny phone with buttons, LOL! Obviously, Samsung knows this cracked inner screen is common but I'm not sure that they will ever have a solution for it besides people having to constantly get it fixed. I know I wouldn't want to be stuck with a phone that I'd have to get the screen fixed every time turn around. I'm in USA, the manufacturer warranty is one year. After that, if you get the extra device protection with your phone carrier, then you have to go thru them. Regardless, I don't like and don't trust sending in my phone. You're better off getting the S23 Ultra and not deal with the hassle. 🙂
I'm watching this video from my S23 Ultra, I got it yesterday. Used to have an A50 for almost 4 years, so it's a completely different experience, It's a plane!
I was still in love with my Note 20 Ultra until I saw your Alpha Omega Supreme 2.0 review! Your channel is the greatest, even when I don't think I'm in the market.
I don't think I will ever even get a galaxy, but I just watched this whole thing and had a good time. I love how over the years you just keep being you.
I knew you would be straight with us. I was on the fence on getting the S23 and waited for your "real review" and I'm glad I did. I'm passing on the S23. I am waiting for the Fold 5. I have the Fold 4 and I love it. Now I've been an iPhone die hard user for years. I started with the iPhone 4, 5S, 6S, 7 plus, 8 plus, XS, 11, 12. 13, and now the 14 Pro Max but there is something about the Fold 4 that has kept from going back to the iPhone. I've had the Fold 4 since launch day and don't think I will ever go back to a regular phone. I can do so much with it. Thanks again for your video.
I really enjoy this review. Your honesty, your humour, and your helpfulness are amazing. The S23 Ultra is likely going to be my next phone, and considering I have the Galaxy S20 from 2020, this would definitely fit the criteria of an upgrade.
I just got a S23 Ultra and I have to tell you : THANKS , for inspiring me to get it. Upgrading from my S20 FE. You said it in one of your videos, "upgrade your life." 👍 🥂 Never had a S pen or such a nice camera, it's a gamechanger.
Same here. Just bought it coming from my s20 fe. My charging port won't keep my charger in place and I will miss my s20 as it was great but looks like this upgrade was much needed.
Been waiting for this movie for weeks, and it was epic as all. Floss just has the right charisma and relatability to hit everything we need No lie I was mad at those cases too, like hey man put them in as bonus footage for the movie man, no more press tours 😂😂😂😂 Great video as always
Saturday night, I finally got my hands on the green version of this phone. And it is so far, maybe my favorite smartphone yet. It is *huge* in my hands, but damn. This display is beautiful. The S-pen gets used everyday. And I just love how it looks. I love the square design.
Thank you so much for your honest review, Floss! I first found your channel over a year ago when I purchased my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 (in which I just traded it in for the S23 Ultra in the Cream color). Being a Samsung Galaxy Note fan and having had the Note 2, 5, 8 and 10+, I decided to give the Fold3 a try when there were talks of the Note discontinuing. It was a cool phone until the inner screen cracked due to normal use and charging because the phone would get hot so I was glad to trade it in and pre-order the S23 Ultra. Been rocking this phone since 2/14/23 and I absolutely LOVE it! I had missed my Note 10+ when having the Fold3 but now THIS S23 ULTRA is 🔥 I'm so glad I got it. Like you and many other Note fans I'm used to the S-Pen being on the right so it is one of my gripes since they decided to put it on the left side, LOL. Also, when you talked about the S-Pen features, it made me think about how the S-Pen can be used to take pictures and videos. I actually never used the feature on my previous Note but I did try it on the S23 Ultra and I like it. So for those who are completely new to Samsung, don't forget to check this cool feature out! Once again, thank you Floss for your review and your time to make this video of quality instead of just throwing a video out there just for views.❤️ Love the entertainment, love White Shoes, and keep doing what you're doing. You're great at it! Have a fantastic Friday!
"I make myself laugh, I don't give a fuck" - this is why ppl love Flossy "You the TOP nerd" - this is why I love Flossy, dear Lordt This whole video is filled with oscar-worthy quotes. Also, his consistent use of the word peasant just fucking rolls me.. So good.
Flossy, laughed throughout your 2 hour video. You have a great sense of humor! Thanks for just being authentic in your videos. They help people like me make actual decisions based on your real opinions.
I been following flossy for, if I had to guess, just under 10 years now. I fuckin love this dude. So real, so smooth, so thorough, my dude doesn't miss a beat. But if it look like he miss a beat, he's just setting up for something better 😅 Side note: Deep deep deep down inside, I freaking love gadgets and shit. But I had to burry that love because I ain't smart like flossy. My hustle is more like a trip down broke ass lane. It ain't good. But flossy pulls that love I have for tech from deep down in the "dont think of that shit" pit in the darkest parts of my brain, it feels great haha you know what I mean. Thank you flossy, we're all so blessed to have you here with us brother ❤️
I just picked up the S23U and boy.... it is the sleekest, fastest, most elegant phone I have EVER used! I am beyond impressed. The speakers sound incredible as you said. The software experience is super smooth. They finally caught up to Apple in this regard, if not outright surpassed them! There is not one but of lag or hiccup. And the battery life is RIDICULOUS. I really think you downplayed this one Flossy! The difference is night and day. The optimization on the new Sbapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy really took battery life to the next level. Not to mention this phone NEVER gets hot! This is such a well rounded and refined experience and Samsung really hit the nail on the head this year. The only thing I wish is they included more things in the box. It doesn't feel very good to drop $1200 + tax to just get a bare phone in a plain box.
👍🏽 🇬🇧 November 2023 I used to try to stick to an 'even-numbers' Samsung upgrade cycle (starting from the S2, actually!) - but the Snapdragon factor here swings it. Further - it seems that Samsung might be going for titanium for the S24 - meaning that I _won't_ be going for that. Hopefully they learn from Apple that titanium just sounds good - but crap for heat dissipation!
I enjoyed the software on the IPhone 14Pro Max, but there's too many limitations. That's why I came back to android and got the Samsung galaxy s23 ultra
Flossy, when I discovered you on UA-cam I have never bought a phone without watching your reviews and accessory videos. I even buy the accessories before I get the phone. I love all your videos 1
1:55 - like I mentioned in an earlier vid, mine was definitely an upgrade (Note 5 to the S23 Ultra). Definitely worth the price and freebies. 8:44 - I have both the iPhone 13 Pro Max (upgraded from the 6S Plus) and, now, the S23 Ultra. 11:13 - #1 on my list is the S-Pen being on the "wrong side". 13:35 - you are ABSOLUTELY right. The packaging sucks a$$. 14:42 - did you see the European unboxing vids? Theirs was nicer and were like Apple's. 14:50 - the way I hollered!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 15:43 - I ended up buying the 45W Power Adapter with Cable separately the other day on sale for $30 😑 Now, in all fairness and UNLIKE Apple, they did offer $150 in freebies as a part of the launch. Technically, they didn't have to do that. I seized that opportunity to get the accessories I needed, with the exception of the 45W adaptor. 22:47 - I agree with the expandable memory - on ALL models allow an additional 128GB. 37:11 - ummm...I'm able to use my [Apple] wireless MagSafe charger to charge my S23 Ultra - with AND without its leather case.
2 weeks in with my s23 ultra probably the best phone out right now , the camera , the multitasking the wqhd 4k resolution object removal on images and best off all DEX was the main reason 2 of my friends who are hard-core apple fans switched over
What do ur friends use dex for ? Its just ur typical andoid on a monitor with mnk right ? I really am curious what people use dex for cuz i dnt see myself using it at all. Its not like it can run windows apps right ?
@nicknickname353 well I honestly just tried it out to see how it works , then I ended up using it for ages just like a computer i had youtube open on one window then my Instagram and web page I also had my WhatsApp running aswell replying to people , and because I pay for Microsoft Office I ended up doing my university assignment on it all after realising when you DEX it's not your mobile version it configures to a window version , I was literally thinking about upgrading my laptop but I might just sell it . Bare in mind it's nothing compared to a computer, obviously if you like running heavy software , editing or gaming but for someone like me who uses my laptop just for your university work mainly and youtube and netflix, I haven't touched my laptop since .
Thanks for the Snyder Cut! Great watch as always. I got the red S23 Ultra and was actually disappointed it didn't have the "zesty" red S-Pen. If you want a good home for yours, it's here. Thanks for the videos Floss! Keep up the good work!
This was just pure viewing and listening pleasure. I live in the UK but I base my smartphone buying and upgrading on your reviewing Floss. Salute to you bro. Thank you. 🙏🏾
Flossy I LOVE that you are yourself. swearing or using curse words. I LOVE THAT. People bleeping out swear words on their videos. Cmon we are all adults here and kids hear them already anyways
Fully agree with the charger thing, I went from a OnePlus to s21u so I ended buying the 25w chargers that supported PPS and now that I've upgraded to s23u they're expecting me to buy another charger that's even more expensive ffs 😂
I thought I would still be bothered going from Note 9 to S 23 Ultra, as no headphone jack and SD card but I got the 1TB model and ended up using my galaxy buds live for my ehem, ASMR, before bed. The notch/punch hole doesn't bother me as I thought it would, I guess I have finally converted. To my surprise however, just when I thought Samsung abanonded the Note 9, it recevied a secuirty patch for 1st Feb 2023 a few days ago in the UK!
I always check if you've reviewed something before I buy it. Pulled the trigger on the S23 Ultra today. Needed a business cell phone with a badass camera so was an easy choice. Thank you for what you do!
Floss, you definately have the gift of the gab.Always a pleasure to watch & listen to you Will soon be upgrading from my Galaxy A71 to the all mighty S23 Ultra. A big upgrade at best. Sleepless nights ahead.

Couldn't wait for this one
Floss is the only dude who can make a 2 hour phone review and make it so damn good the whole way through.
Aside from first time, first ever 🙌🏻✨
The way the dude is going a cellphone review will be like a whole movie night of Lord of the Rings trilogy or something.🤣
@@marcochavane3124The Floss Factor
I recently switched over from the iPhone 14 Pro Max to the S23 Ultra and the experience has been great. Considering this is the first Android phone I use since I had to return my Note 7. Feels good to be back.
That’s me literally. And I was a hardcore Apple user
Welcome back home 🤗
Note 7 👀
This is the way
Soon for me
The thing I will always respect about Flossy reviews is that you always give us the real world application alongside the tech nerd application.
Now that’s fire 🔥
best new feature that could sell the S24 Ultra on it's own
That would be slick but probably would only work on the larger tablet size spen. That's an awful lot of tech to cram into the smaller spen.
Genius idea!
You could have sold that idea 💡!!
This review deserves an Oscar. So I sat for the whole time and just absorbed everything 🙃. Thank u my brother 🙏.
Agreed. This is even better than a 2 hour movie 😉
🤣🤣🤣 I did too I became engrossed watching it
Yo facts so did I! Hey yo Floss I been meaning to ask, did you make that beat at 1:07:47 ? That shit is fire 🔥🔥
I've watched it twice... First time I just let it play it the background while I worked
Agreed! I don't understand how the prices on these phones keep going up but we continue to get less. For what they charge, these phones should come as a complete package (i.e. case, screen protector, dongle, charger, cable, extended memory capable, removable battery).
A-fcking-men 👏
Considering the first ever "cell phone" was like 4 or 5 grand and made by motorola with only calling capabilities we are pretty spoiled lol. Plus with the trade in deals are pretty good.
@@ncorvellithats a pretty dumb argument. Better to compare with smartphones in the last 5 to 10 years. That's like saying the first pc was the size of a room now you can fit it on your desk well no shit
i agree about all except removable battery...it was the thing that got rid of samsung lag because of the dust resistance...
Only Flossy and Shoes have me watching a feature-length film on a phone I already bought 😆 Thanks!
Hahahaha thank you my friend, we really appreciate it🎉
Me too LOL!
I got the Z Fold 4 and I'm not quite sure if this phone is an upgrade or downgrade. Regardless, I'm definitely buying it.
@@Ghenjiro I haven't got the flip or really used it, but I'm certain the s23 ultra is a better phone in every way apart from not being able to fold in to a tablet
Haha me too!
For me the S23 Ultra was a big upgrade just for the battery alone because I went from having 0% to 10% battery life left when leaving work.....To having 30% to 50% battery life left when leaving work..... And the standby time alone has improved tremendously
Dam I need to upgrade
Yeah I'm okay to only charge it until 85% and have battery left over at the end of the day
The battery life is insane difference!!
Probably due to optimization and the snapdragon 8 gen 2 lol the 8 gen 1 was an inefficient mess because of Samsung
Yo Floss. Thought I'd let you know, I bought the same phone twice. A couple of days ago, I traded-in my S22U for the S23U! Watching your reviews, helped me in the decision making process. I've been upgrading every year since the Note8. But I think this S23U is gonna be a keeper for several years!👍
Rest in Peace to your mom sir
Thank you for the Snyder cut
This really helped a lot
Thanks my friend
You have no idea how fast I clicked on the notification
Same here
Trust me, I have an idea lol 😅
😂
I removed my like because you already had 69.
Edit: someone messed it up. Take my up vote
You were not the only one 😅
This review confirmed that I got the right phone. I had the S22 Ultra on my carrier and loved it but was forced to switch companies because my carrier was on some BS. I was willing to stick with the 22 ultra, but the 23 ultra was all that was available. A year later and I'm still satisfied with this phone. I love your reviews, Floss!
You got the right device, are you happy with it?
Thank you my friend 🫡🥂
I normally don’t comment on any videos, but this man floss really put so much love and care in these videos! 2 hour videos feel like 2 minutes cuz that’s how much fun I be having. Love your content Floss! Shoutouts from Canada 🫡 🇨🇦
I appreciate that!

One thing we do get in the box is 5 years of Android updates and security patches. This is ONE thing I can give Samsung props for
Legendary review.
Dang I have the s20 plus too right now and considering the ultra as well. How much was the trade in value?
@@erickfrancisco3625 trade in value is shxt so I just kept my S20+ as a backup phone
exactly the same
@Erick Francisco I got 500 for mine. Ended up getting the s23 ultra 512 version since I got 500 off.
"Decent" battery life? The battery life is excellent!
This is the REALEST review out here. Should get over a million views unlike the other 15 minute quickie review.
My guess it will hit a million views within 6 months
I just got this phone a few days ago after being with Apple for the past few years. I'm enjoying it so far. I've been looking forward to this review.
Good, good. You gave in to the darkside 😈
I left iPhone this year as well to the galaxy s23 ultra and I love it.

Same. Just took the plunge on it.
Note 9 is a legend phone
Only Floss can make a phone review as long and as entertaining as a feature film. Excellent work as always Floss.
The "Holy Trinity" Samsung, Apple and Google! But I can't speak to the other phones because I never experienced them.
Bruh s22 ultras battery was so shit I can't believe how much I'm enjoying the s23 right now

I been waiting for this review like a big budget movie release. Floss could of release a trailer for this thing and I’d be all over it lol. Love the content brother 🙌
This was a total blockbuster hit, loved every minute
The S23 Ultra is an awesome phone. I had planned on upgrading to the S23+ but like you said in the video, you gotta treat yourself to something nice. The 256 gbs I felt was fine with me. I did have 128 gigs on my old phone and I barely used half of that. Perhaps a little more storage then I need but in case I need it it's there for me to use.
Samsung s5
Size is a bigger factor than you think
I just got this phone on Friday, and I love it. I had the 22 Ultra with t-mobile, but they've been screwing up since the Sprint merge. I switched to AT&T and got the 23 Ultra. I was an iPhone user for years and wasn't impressed with the 14 Pro Max. I only had the 22 Ultra for a couple of months, but I LOVED it. I definitely feel like the 23 Ultra is a great upgrade. The biometrics work much better than the previous model for sure.
Using the s23 ultra for a week, it's hands down the best phone ever made, feels & looks so futuristic.
iOS has been feeling real stale to me lately. Went ahead and "upgraded" from a 12 Pro Max to this thanks impart to how fired up Floss be getting. I'm digging it so far.
Are you still liking it so far? I switched last week also from the 12 Pro Max and mainly see a difference in the cameras
I upgraded from my S20+ to an S23U and I'm so happy with it. The S23 feels like the most mature and stable phone phone Samsung has released.

But will you notice it in day to day activities? No. It’s an update.
@@gonzhlo so a 22 ultra is unusable compared to the 23 ultra, that's what you're making it sound like.
@gianlucadanieledimaggio2316 exactly lol, people are not watching the video and interpreting my comment
What annoys me is that everyone has forgotten that Samsung doubled the storage without raising the price. Oh let's not forget all the bitching that 128g isn't enough storage from last year. Geez, why not a 64g version?
You don't know how much I appreciate these Synder Cuts! Got my S23 Ultra day one. I had to join the Samsung Knights again since the Note 4.
Thanks brother
Bro had me crying with the phone in a black plastic bag!😂😂😂
Another thing I'd like to add is since the update to OneUI 5.1, my battery life on my S22U is substantially better and I mean 6.5 to 7hrs of screen on time in a 21hr time frame, better. I was getting closer to 5.5-6hrs of SOT in that same length of time, depending on how much Spotify streaming I was doing.
Good to know! I was feeling a little robbed, hearing how much better the S23 Ultra battery life is, versus my S22 Ultra!
There is a reason it is called the “real review”. You deliver all the time 👏🏼
I literally just upgraded to the S23 ultra (3/3) and this right here….was just what I needed. Thank you!
I'm one of his OG followers. It's good to see how much his channel has grown.
I have no intention of buying this phone, but I watched it anyway because of how fun it is. One of the best forms of entertainment.
I noticed when Floss recommended the S23 for the iPhone mafia he listed Samsung DeX, S-Pen, Multi-Tasking and if he wanted to, multiple media Bluetooth output, USB-C and wide variety of USB-C compatible devices, reverse wireless charge/45w fast charge, physical SIM card, an actually dynamic island that is not a giant permanent camera hole plopped on your screen taking up real estate etc etc
But then when he recommends iPhone to the Samsung Knights, it's like.... It's just good, it's dope, thrust me... Ecosystem and such(which is second to Samsung BTW but still).
I jumped from iphone to s23 ultra with no regrets gave my iphone 14 pro max to my daughter
Major Facts 💯
So they're going to milk it out of you with lesser trade-in deals because they know you're going to want it more
You got it from the website or phone company?
@@DJ_Drako Got it from samsung, unlocked version
@@alphaspartan I upgraded from 256gb to 512 gb, but yea still. They had a promo here to upgrade to the next storage level for "free".
@@kathykim9816 no warranty on that?
Flossy "U" are soo real, you give "REAL a whole new meaning! Luv your videos!
I appreciate that!
Folding phones are still beta products and still too expensive and not as durable
You said it in one of your videos, "upgrade your life." 👍 🥂
Never had a S pen or such a nice camera, it's a gamechanger.
Same here. Just bought it coming from my s20 fe. My charging port won't keep my charger in place and I will miss my s20 as it was great but looks like this upgrade was much needed.
Been waiting for this movie for weeks, and it was epic as all.
Floss just has the right charisma and relatability to hit everything we need
No lie I was mad at those cases too, like hey man put them in as bonus footage for the movie man, no more press tours 😂😂😂😂
Great video as always
This is how you do a real review. Floss and White Shoes are no doubt the best reviewers in the Tech industry.
Saturday night, I finally got my hands on the green version of this phone. And it is so far, maybe my favorite smartphone yet. It is *huge* in my hands, but damn. This display is beautiful. The S-pen gets used everyday. And I just love how it looks. I love the square design.
Loving mine so far the battery life is insane. Much love Floss
"I make myself laugh, I don't give a fuck"

"You the TOP nerd"

This whole video is filled with oscar-worthy quotes.
Also, his consistent use of the word peasant just fucking rolls me.. So good.
Just upgraded from note 9 to s23 Ultra and hoo boy what a beast this thing is! I always enjoy these real reviews of the flagship phones
Flossy, laughed throughout your 2 hour video. You have a great sense of humor! Thanks for just being authentic in your videos. They help people like me make actual decisions based on your real opinions.
I appreciate that!
I've been watching Floss' vlogs for several years at least and every time he does the,"Whiteshoes...calm down!" , I do the same hand motion. 👋
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I been following flossy for, if I had to guess, just under 10 years now. I fuckin love this dude. So real, so smooth, so thorough, my dude doesn't miss a beat. But if it look like he miss a beat, he's just setting up for something better 😅
Side note: Deep deep deep down inside, I freaking love gadgets and shit.
👍🏽 🇬🇧 November 2023
I used to try to stick to an 'even-numbers' Samsung upgrade cycle (starting from the S2, actually!) - but the Snapdragon factor here swings it.
Further - it seems that Samsung might be going for titanium for the S24 - meaning that I _won't_ be going for that. Hopefully they learn from Apple that titanium just sounds good - but crap for heat dissipation!
Have this now and also have the iPhone 15 pro and while the S23 sounds decent, it's nowhere near Apple speakers. Great in every regard though.
I enjoyed the software on the IPhone 14Pro Max, but there's too many limitations. That's why I came back to android and got the Samsung galaxy s23 ultra
Welcome back home 🤗
Flossy, when I discovered you on UA-cam I have never bought a phone without watching your reviews and accessory videos. I even buy the accessories before I get the phone. I love all your videos 1
Thank you my friend 🫡
Actually loving this phone way more than I thought I would. Good review man!
15:43 - I ended up buying the 45W Power Adapter with Cable separately the other day on sale for $30 😑
Now, in all fairness and UNLIKE Apple, they did offer $150 in freebies as a part of the launch.
HAHAHAHA! You're killing me
"Giving you props and you calling cops on me"
That's why I love Snyder Cut Flossy version!
Watching on my cream S23 Ultra 512gb, no one does it better than Floss & White Shoes, much love from the UK ✌🏻
That HTC joint was the reason I started following you on here fam 💪🏽💪🏽🤜🏽🤛🏽
Much respect my G
@@FlossyCarter back when LTE was brand new and sprint had lte spark I think that was the name and 3D camera on htc evo
Speaking of accessories, Samsung should include a 256 GB or 512 GB flash drive in the box for not having a microSD card slot.
Floss, you definately have the gift of the gab.Always a pleasure to watch & listen to you
Will soon be upgrading from my Galaxy A71 to the all mighty S23 Ultra. A big upgrade at best. Sleepless nights ahead.
Its gonna be a MASSIVE upgrade man, i had the same phone, getting it soon enough. Did you upgrade yet?
