I have been a batman fan for a very long time but i would never tell you that my favourite movie is a superhero one until this very moment. This movie blew my mind its just so superb and original in every way. Batman generally is nuts there is no sane man that jumps across rooftops and believes that he can stop crime with the power of his fists. His way of dealing through all that trauma is by punching bad guys. In the beginning, the sound represents the feel of fear and warning, and the dark night in 1:50 represents hope and rises to make the better Gotham city. This song really communicates the feelings of the story, Keep the good work man!!
It’s weird how this song encompasses both sides of the Batman story: His tragic past and his vengeance-ridden present. @@ianstolle8304 i looked for tickets with my wife and big brother and...well...all tickets already sold out...dammit! i'll watch the movie unaware another time!
Today when working out, this song came on my playlist. I thought I was on my last rep but I just kept going and going until literally my body broke down. Then suddenly tears started coming down from my eyes. I was thinking about all things, all these years I had bubbled up so much anger, frustrations, insecurities, fear from my academics and personal life. I finally let them all go. It was a moment of catharsis. Whoever made this music I love them.
It would be amazing if Giacchino Elfman, Howard, Zimmer, and all the other living batman theme composers would band together to co-compose the official score for the sequel. It combines the best of every theme. Giacchino's mixed with Zimmer and Howard's from the Dark knight trilogy would be intimidating and epic, yet tragic and hopeful. Goldenthal's would be epic and heroic. Walkers would add the btas vibe. Hefty's could be a catchy homage to the 60s theme. All the while elfmans is the most memorable, its epic and cinematic, and is mainly used with Giaccino's theme
The beginning of the 1989 version still gives me chills all these years later. I used to listen to the entire soundtrack doing homework in High School.
That blending of themes at 0:55 is so smooth! I am high af listening to this. Music becomes so much more powerful and visceral. That moment gave me shivers. Amazing work!
A thing I absolutely love about this soundtrack, and that goes a little unnoticed: the sequence where you can hear only two chords, at the climax of this track for example (right at the end), are basically the same chords used in Something In the Way, by Nirvana, which is the main song of the movie, but using the fifths if you know your theory (F minor, C# major -> Bb minor, Gb major). That's just genius.
Awesome! Reminds me so much of that "I can...and you will." moment in Justice League: The Animated Series, "Maid of Honor" Batman: Who are you working for? Assassin: [in Kaznian] You can't understand a word I'm saying and I wouldn't tell you anything if you could. Batman: [in Kaznian] I can... [advances on him menacingly until his silhouette blots out all light in the assassin's vision] *...and you will.*
You can really feel the death of Bruce's parents in the Elfman riff. It's the heartbreak that precedes the drive for vengeance in Giacchino's followed by the need for hope with Zimmer.
Dang. I was just waiting for the awesome punch of the Elfman theme at 0:55 and instead got hit over the head with the epicness of the Giacchino theme. Heck yeah. Great work as always, Samuel!
Elfman’s theme reminds me so much of the PS2 Lego Batman game. Literally my entire childhood. Zimmer’s is SO beyond iconic it’s hard to describe its power. And THE BATMAN is a bruising affair, perfectly inline with Pattinson’s dark portrayal of the caped crusader.
During this arrangement, I could see it as a music video. 0:15 Three different shadows prepare their gear. Pulling on masks. 0:30 Eyes of a dreamy Patton Batman come into focus. He checks his gear before starting to walk forward. 0:50 Patton Batman steps out from the shadows, showing off his determined glare as he begins to walk forward, Two shadows rise up high above him. 1:05 Keaton steps out on a metal walkway. Patton jerks around, they stare before dashing off! 1:37 While the two Batmen run through the batcave tunnels, a BRIGHT flash from behind as Bale comes running beside the pair. 1:45 Patton and Keaton sprint to catch up to Bale 1:55 Patton looks to Keaton and then to Bale, he looks ahead and gives a genuine quiet smile 2:00 The three Batmen harpoon gun into a hard cut to city rooftops, dashing, flipping, swinging. 2:35 They ALL unfurl their varied gliding gear and dive from a sudden skyscraper level roof top to glide across a city river 2:50 They all quietly land in front of an open entrance to the underground. 2:58 Patton takes point. 3:05 various signs of the different villains dot the walls of the underground tunnel, Joker graffiti, toxic barrels, question marks etc. 3:15 Montage of memories from all three Batmen flash as they walk down the tunnel toward a glowing doorway 3:50 they begin to approach a large locked doorway. 4:10 All three walk up to the door. Patton looks to Bale and Keaton once more, they just nod in reassurance 4:15 Single looming close up of all three Batmen staring at the door; -Bale -Keaton -Patton 4:30 Patton steps up to the door in slow-mo. Pushing with both palms, gritting his jaw/teeth. 4:35 Doors open to reveal a long table, three empty chairs sit on the far side of a dark room, the only source of light is from a single lamp overhead. 4:40 The Batmen stand in the light while three silhouettes watch them from the darkness;(from R to L) -A man in a suit flipping a coin with two different eyes glaring, -a dandy dressed man with a wide brimmed hat and a toothy grin, -a man cloaked in a raincoat and rainmask with glasses shining. END
This piece is astonishing! Who knew those three themes could go well together. The fact that they have been mixed together so well, just says a lot about your talent as a composer!
I'm a massive Hans Zimmer fan. He is majority of the reason why I followed music. This arrangement is absolutely outstanding. Worthy to be up there in the Halls of Zimmer. Absolutely love your channel and content. Just mesmerising and at times, breathtaking. We need more of this

Samuel, people will tell me what they want, but you should have been the musical composer of The Batman (2022), because you are a genius when it comes to musical themes. I hope that one day, some executive of a Hollywood film studio like Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures etc., will recognize your extraordinary and outstanding work as a composer, and compose great Hollywood movies whether they are high budget blockbusters, or low budget independent films. I give it 100/100, congratulations.
I loved the scenes where the goons looked to the shadows in fear of the batman lurking. It shows that batman doesn't need to be everywhere at once, fear alone gets the job done.
I love Batman, his strength is not from physical strength. His strength is his ability to adapt to situations and overcome problems. He finds enemies weaknesses and exploits them.
This is a movie that the more I think about it, the more I really love it. And I already loved it to begin with. Bat In The Rafters Part 2 off the OST is such a banger bro. Great job on this!

I'll be seeing it in 19 hours! Don't spoil anything, I want to go into this unaware. I've only been listening to the music instead of first reviews, gotta stay pure.
@@ianstolle8304 i looked for tickets with my wife and big brother and...well...all tickets already sold out...dammit! i'll watch the movie unaware another time!

Love how 'The Batman' theme feels like the perfect glue for all the themes. It sounds simplistic yet unique & bombastic enough to be its own thing.
BATMAN
WHY DO BATMAN MOVIES HAVE SO GOD DARN GOOD MUSIC. Glad to see the best ones mixed together.
All the while elfmans is the most memorable, its epic and cinematic, and is mainly used with Giaccino's theme
it will be like the multiverse of musicians
RIP Shirley Walker
Too many cooks spoil the broth.
@@Madman-ym8dh agree
It wouldn’t be the first time Giacchino had rescored Zimmer & Elfman’s score in the same movie. 🤷🏽♂️
What St. Peter heard as Kevin Conroy approached the pearly gates...rest in peace and thanks for being our Batman for 30 years.
yo that transition from 1989 theme to The Batman theme was absolutely phenomenal
4:43 Thought we wouldn't notice but we did
1:54 dude if this part was real I would lose my mind… never mind I already lost it with this alone 🤯🤧
No you're not alone.
imagine in The Batman 2 they add some soundtrack with Elfman and Hans Zimmer inspiration. I would lose my fucking mind in the theater.
This man combined the animated series intro with the movie intro, and did a hell of a job. Thank you for this masterpiece.
Furthermore, they're both based off of Chopin's "Marche Funebre".
Awesome! Reminds me so much of that "I can...and you will." moment in Justice League: The Animated Series, "Maid of Honor"
Batman:
Who are you working for?
Assassin:
[in Kaznian] You can't understand a word I'm saying and I wouldn't tell you anything if you could.
Batman:
[in Kaznian] I can...
[advances on him menacingly until his silhouette blots out all light in the assassin's vision]
*...and you will.*
I loved how you mixed the themes together!!! I can’t wait for your next video!!!
Dude needs to do a MASK OF PHANTASM x The Batman theme mashup !!!
He does that alot
If Batman is the night, then this mix is it’s equivalent. Absolutely SUPERB work as always, Sam.

You can really feel the death of Bruce's parents in the Elfman riff. It's the heartbreak that precedes the drive for vengeance in Giacchino's followed by the need for hope with Zimmer.
That transition from 89 to the batman is just 👌
I do not regret not sleeping after school to watch this movie, simply masterpiece
Batman is the ultimate proof that you can be a hero without superpowers and still be the hero everyone deserves 👏🏻 Legend Batman. Legend
2:14 always gives me goosebumps you should mesh the batman theme with like a dog chasing cars
Dang. I was just waiting for the awesome punch of the Elfman theme at 0:55 and instead got hit over the head with the epicness of the Giacchino theme. Heck yeah. Great work as always, Samuel!
Still listening to this a year later. When the slower but powerful and bombastic version of "Like a Dog Chasing Cars" kicks in, I still get chills.
Sounds very awesome! Delight for the ears!
Actually just like I told before. You're the best guy to mix to themes. We appreciate it bro💖
1:45 Patton and Keaton sprint to catch up to Bale
1:55 Patton looks to Keaton and then to Bale, he looks ahead and gives a genuine quiet smile
2:00 The three Batmen harpoon gun into a hard cut to city rooftops, dashing, flipping, swinging.
2:35 They ALL unfurl their varied gliding gear and dive from a sudden skyscraper level roof top to glide across a city river
2:50 They all quietly land in front of an open entrance to the underground.
2:58 Patton takes point.
3:05 various signs of the different villains dot the walls of the underground tunnel, Joker graffiti, toxic barrels, question marks etc.
3:15 Montage of memories from all three Batmen flash as they walk down the tunnel toward a glowing doorway
3:50 they begin to approach a large locked doorway.
4:10 All three walk up to the door. Patton looks to Bale and Keaton once more, they just nod in reassurance
4:15 Single looming close up of all three Batmen staring at the door;
-Bale
-Keaton
-Patton
4:30 Patton steps up to the door in slow-mo. Pushing with both palms, gritting his jaw/teeth.
4:35 Doors open to reveal a long table, three empty chairs sit on the far side of a dark room, the only source of light is from a single lamp overhead.
4:40 The Batmen stand in the light while three silhouettes watch them from the darkness;(from R to L)
-A man in a suit flipping a coin with two different eyes glaring,
-a dandy dressed man with a wide brimmed hat and a toothy grin,
-a man cloaked in a raincoat and rainmask with glasses shining.

Nice job bro, I like where your creativity is headed
This was musical performance perfection!!! This was the best Batman mash up EVER!! MIC HAS BEEN DROPPED 🏆🏆🏆
These batman covers have been some of your best work in my opinion, a pleasure to listen to!
This piece is astonishing! Who knew those three themes could go well together. The fact that they have been mixed together so well, just says a lot about your talent as a composer!
I keep coming back to listen to this... i gotta say, this is the best thing i've heard on youtube all year so far.
That transition from 1989 to 2022 in the beginning is so good.
Exactly
Robert Pattinson did an amazing job as batman in this movie same for the rest of the cast
I'm a massive Hans Zimmer fan. He is majority of the reason why I followed music. This arrangement is absolutely outstanding. Worthy to be up there in the Halls of Zimmer. Absolutely love your channel and content. Just mesmerising and at times, breathtaking. We need more of this
this is beautiful! I'm getting batman childhood memories when hearing the 1989 theme intro.
From 0:58 is the perfect music for the introduction of the joker, the high notes in the background give a feeling of madness and fear
Breathtaking, I'm excited to see it soon.
I absolutely love how you used the 1989 batman's theme. Once again you've made another masterpiece.
all three themes are so good, they really give you a feel for each batman (keaton, bale, pattison). lovely mix!
Did multiple google searches looking for Samuel Kim as an official composer/producer for the new soundtrack after hearing this, impressive work.
Goosebumps... So much emotion in this one.
The steady elegance of 1989, the manic gloom of 2022.
It's a beautiful combination, well done I love it so much

Epic intro for a superhero I have seen lately...
Tears flow knowing I’ve had the pleasure to be alive to watch all three generations of BATMAN
Thank you Kevin 🕊
I loved the scenes where the goons looked to the shadows in fear of the batman lurking. It shows that batman doesn't need to be everywhere at once, fear alone gets the job done.
Glad to see you have the audience you deserve, your music has made me stronger in times of need. Thank you.
Absolutely epic. Bring in Batman Beyond with more.
"What kind of music do you listen to?"
Me: "...... Justice."
I love Batman, his strength is not from physical strength. His strength is his ability to adapt to situations and overcome problems. He finds enemies weaknesses and exploits them.
I mean... in many interpretations, he is a physical force not to be taken lightly.
OMG I just found this channel and I'm so glad I did!! Every track I've listened to is going on my cardio run playlist ❤️⚡
