    ▽ What are FODMAPs?
    The term FODMAP is an acronym, derived from "Fermentable, Oligo-, Di-, Mono-saccharides And Polyols”. They are short carbohydrates found in lots of healthy foods, which the bacteria in your intestines will break down, producing gas in the process.
    For unclear reasons, some people are particularly sensitive to this and experience painful and embarrassing symptoms such as bloating, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, constipation and fatigue. FODMAP restriction has been found to improve symptoms in people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGID).
    ▽ What is a Low-FODMAP Diet?
    The Low-FODMAP diet usually involves carefully cutting the down the amount of FODMAPs you consume over a day and at one time for 2-6 weeks until your symptoms resolve or at least become manageable. Then you “re-challenge” each type of FODMAP individually to see how sensitive you are to them. Thankfully most people can tolerate some or all of the FODMAPs at certain levels or combinations.
    ▽ Is it forever?
    NO! From this feedback, you can reintroduce foods in a way that won’t set off your symptoms. Your tolerance will likely improve over time, so you can always retest foods when you feel up to it.
    ▽ Resources For Vegan Low-FODMAPers
    These are the two things I’ve found to be invaluable since starting the low-FODMAP diet.
    The first is the official app* from The Monash University. It’s the easiest and most up-to-date way to check what foods are A-okay and how big your portion size can be. Measurements come in grams, as well as "cups", which is great as a brit!

    The second is the ONLY vegan cookbook* I’ve found among the masses of meat-filled low-FODMAP ones. Admittedly it's not totally my style of cooking but it has been a great inspiration and it is very informative.

    I suffer from IBS but with chronic constipation.
    I got a colonoscopy at the age of 22.
    I also suffer from a series of mental disorders, and I get anxiety attacks that trigger a anxiety tummy ache.. but then I’m in excruciating pain because of my IBS.
    I just did this on the couch, while watching my niece.
    And it helped me completely.
    The pressure is gone and the anxiety is lowered from breathing 💙

    Thank you so much for this practice. It’s funny (not really funny) how it is easy to forget the poses that help you feel better when you are having a particularly rough IBS attack. I happened to find this video in a google search today and now I’m excited to explore your channel!

    Girl... thank God for you lol. My bloating gets so painful sometimes I am in tears. After finishing your instructions EXACTLY, when I lifted myself up at the end I noticed a huge difference. I am so impressed and I think you are a friggin genius.

    This was so helpful! I have had the most temperamental tummy for the last two months and I think it might be IBS as my doctor has ruled out several other possibilities.     This was amazing thank you so much. I was suffering from so much, I never take medicines but I did and it didn't work. I tried this in bed and it worked wonders. Thank you. And your voice was really soothing. Could you please make more videos like this but holding the poses for slightly longer? Thank you again!

      There are many components to plantar foot treatment. One plan I discovered that succeeds in merging these is the Fergs Foot Formula (google it if you're interested) definately the best resource that I have ever seen.look at the amazing info .

    That was so relaxing. I never thought to do yoga in bed. I was kinda reclined for a while after I just ate and started to get bad reflux and a dry cough. Also, pain and bloat. It’s been a struggle with IBS, Gastritis, and SIBO for about a year or so. Lost a bunch of weight so my body always hurts anymore. I’ll be doing this routine a lot.

    All i can think of, is that i wish i looked just like you. You have no idea how fantastic is your body, you have a glow. I wish i had your flat tummy. I was young in the past as well, now soon 50, and i had a great body. But the tummy area is what falls around menopause, even if i did yoga all my life and exercised. I just was remembered that, while looking at you.

    I have yet to comment even though I'm being honest when I say that I have done this at least once a day since last fall 😭 it's just so soothing both for anxiety and ibs and even if it doesn't ease my symptoms I try to do it anyway as I find it really calming ... so thank you so much for making this ♥️

    I love this video! Tonight was a bit worse than normal and my pain was getting bad even after taking tums and such, I was so frustrated especially since it's getting late and I have to be up in the morning!     Are you still planning to do your retreat?
    I would love to join. As I'm tired of feeling exhausted all the time and especially after last year I do need to "run away" from my everyday life and IBS what comes with it. This video was something I needed especially suffering from excruciating pain past few weeks.

      The retreat is on hold but definitely something I want to do in the future. I didn't have much luck finding somewhere which could work with the catering requirements and then COVID happened. I'll keep looking though! xx

    Thanks a ton! Bloating has been an issue for me since I was a teenager. Today I particularly had too much fries n was going through hell n couldn't sleep. Found ur exercises. Just did it n I feel so much better. I can sleep now, thx to u☺️❤️God bless!

    I see this is from 3yrs ago. I’m watching from Ontario Canada. Have you any future retreats planned? A low fodmap oriented yoga retreat would be a dream come true for me 😍

      It didn't... Yet! It was harder than I thought to find a venue that would cater for it... And then Covid happened and I've spent the passed two years at uni retraining as a dietitian. That being said, I still really want to do it! so the dream may still happen 🤞

    day 1- bloated belly, noises from stomach, a lil discomfort.
    tried this for the first time, burped and farted in between, feel kinda light now 😊
    day2- it is morning, and i could poop just like before!! i could poop earlier as well, but it just didn't feel so good
    this is magical!!! i could fart and poop and burp and i feel so light rn 😊
