Thank you Hard Head Veterans!! This is a huge step in the right direction on a few different levels. Your team is impressive and talented; keep it up! I'm rocking a HHV ATE helmet in multicam black, with Peltor Comtac III's and Unity MARK's. This is my first helmet (ballistically capable) and I'm still in love with it after 18 months! Cheers!
Glad you've been rocking with us Mitch! We intend to continue to change the way this space operates. We're not as big as some of our competitors, but sometimes it takes a little to guy to shake the market up and force innovation.
“All for the low low cost of $1999.99”. I want this to be a good move. I do. We need more companies offering armor in the US. My only worry is that the US made line is gonna instantly come with a x3-4 cost premium because by default manufacturing in the US costs more. There’s not much HHV can do about that. Which would easily put this helmet into Team Wendy and even hitting into OpsCore money. 🤷♂️ With all do respect if my choice is that, I’m buying a Team Wendy.
This is the ballistic version. We're still a ways away from putting out a fully made in the USA bump helmet. But I think I may or may no have heard the words Carbon and Fiber used at some point in the last couple months.
Is this going to replace the existing ballistic ATE helmet in your product line-up as "Gen 3" or be offered alongside it at a different (I assume higher) price point?
I’m stoked I have one of your gen2 ATE love it can’t wait to get ahold of this I’m on email list will there be an email sent out announcing date of release and sale
Totally on you, that's not something we test compatibility with. We've heard some of our customers do it with success, but it's not something we endorse since our helmet is designed as a holistic system. I highly recommend checking out our SRS retention strap though!
End of Q1 or early Q2 is what we're shooting for right now. That's subject to change based on when we have our equipment shipped. Right now we're waiting on a few key pieces that are stuck in port.
The Gen2 will remain available. We're ballpark between $975 and $1300 on these. It's going to come down to material costs. Ukraine has caused a dramatic spike in demand for PE and Aramid.

Takes a little bit to stand up a full manufacturing facility, and there's been a few hiccups along the way. We're in the final stages of standing up our production, we just need to finalize programming on our robotic water jet cutter.
Depends on the country and their regulations. The best way to go about this is to email info@hardheadveterans.com with "Sales Inquiry" in the subject line. That will get our Sales team in contact with you ASAP.
If it was crap we wouldn't sell it! Also no, these will be different helmet utilizing UHMWPE instead of aramid, they will be much more expensive helmets..
This is a great question Christian, thanks for asking. The ATE_Lite is an NIJIIIA ballistic helmet, meaning it's rated to stop up to .44 mag. We also offer an up armor package that will get the helmet up to 7x62x39mm. Threats like 5.45 and 5.56 are on our list of rounds we'd like to see our helmets defeat in the future, so stay tuned. We plan to change the game.
@@HardHeadVeterans Opscore just released the RF1 model that stops 7.62x39 steel core but costs like friggin $4,000-5,000k. It weighs 3.5 pounds, so your typical ECH weight. If you guys want to start crowdfunding, i'll definitely chip in so you guys can get one so it can get reverse engineered :D
Unlike other ultra-light helmets which struggle to keep BTD numbers bellow 24mm at 1200 fps with 9mm, our BTD numbers are averaging in the single digits at 1400 fps!

I have 3. Thank you HHV!
Outstanding....very cool....keep up the great work hhv guys!!
Thanks!
Looks promising! Glad to see it'll be made here. This will be on my shortlist for an eventual bump helmet upgrade.

@@HardHeadVeterans is it just assembled in the US or are materials made in the US and assembled in the US?
@@Gunmonkey5 all of our materials are already made in the US. This helmet will also be made in Texas vs being pressed overseas.

Bravo!!! Love to hear it!!
We're super excited to finally make this announcement!

looking forward to checking out the options & upgrading my 1st Gen BH!! 👍

Is it possible to replace the back headstrap with one from Ops-Core? I like the retention dial on the back for added support.

Will you guys be making a super high cut version?
Great question. We're toying around with the design of super high-cut.
Any idea when it will be available??? I don’t see it on your website.

I GOTTA GET ME ONE OF "THEMS"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO I seriously do.
No seriously, you really do man.
Are these going to be much more expensive than the current ATE gen 2? If so, will the current gen 2 still be available?

Awesome! Just two things, can we expect an official NIJ certification and will you guys eventually just ship with ARC rails?
NIJ does not certify helmets and no on ARC rails!
@@HardHeadVeterans thank you and do ballistic helmets get a certification like body armor?

Nobody currently does that I know of.
Only certain companies offer a front shield addon that can stop a single 7.62x39. I think its called SLAAP
