My experience is that the environmentally friendly DWRs are fine. However, they need reapplying far more often than the older DWRs. If you use your jacket daily then reapplying every three months is a good idea. If it's a jacket that you seldom wear (maybe once a month in torrential rain), then once a year will work. It's not difficult to reapply a coating and it will make your jacket waterproof again. Thanks for the video!
