I always look forward to your videos and enthusiasm. One thing i want to mention is that you go in depth on every aspect and feature of jackets but the hood is always an afterthought. It would be great if you not only put the hood on but actually use the adjusters to cinch it down so anyone interested can see the fit and function of said hood. As a bald guy i only buy hooded jackets and if the hood is a poor design then its a deal breaker for me.
I have many jackets with goretex infinium fabric, it definitely stops wind, and is nice cuss jackets can be made with a silent fabric on top not like rain shells, but downside is that anything with real goretex fabric used, price is high. Most jackets with the goretex infinium, costs about as much as a rain jacket with the goretex 3L waterproof fabric. So if you’re not in need of a quiet jacket, often times, you can buy a goretex rain jacket as it is wind and water proof, doing two jobs with one jacket.
I do like the Infinium as well, but I have found it to not be very good in the rain. One of my favorite softshells is the Arc'teryx Sawyer Hoody. It has a GoreTex Infinium Fabric. It's quiet, and I really like the "luxurious" satin look that it has.
Recently got the Mountain Equipment Shroud. It’s like an R2 tech face on steroids. Great wind resistance.
@@ReelSlyGuy Nice, I hope to try that piece soon.

Good point, I will try to do that in future videos. I recently bought a helmet too, to show how it fits with a helmet. Thank you.
Nice breakdown 👌
Thank you for watching!
Wish there was a list provided with time stamps in description or comments
Sorry, I should have included that. I just did add chapters to it. Hope that helps everyone.
Please review the New Serratus hoody that Arcteryx just released. Would be interesting to see how it compares to the gamma?
I will try to do that soon. It looks like a nice jacket.
